A distributed-generator power-generation-amount estimation apparatus and method capable of more accurately and easily estimating output by reflecting a power factor are disclosed. The apparatus estimates a power generation amount of a distributed generator interconnected to an electric power system from active power and reactive power measured at regular intervals by measurement means, the apparatus including power-factor estimation means for estimating, as a ratio of a time change amount of the active power and the reactive power, a power factor of the distributed generator interconnected to a demand side of the electric power system, distributed-generator power-generation-amount estimation means for having, from active power and reactive power measured at a time of no power when the distributed generator interconnected to the electric power system is not generating power, a first characteristic line representing a load characteristic on a coordinate plane based on active power and reactive power, a second characteristic line representing a distributed-generator characteristic on the coordinate plane, and estimating the difference between the active power and the reactive power at an intersection point of the first characteristic line and the second characteristic line, and the measured active power and the measured reactive power as the power generation amount of the distributed generator, and output means for outputting power-generation-amount estimation information on the distributed generator estimated by the distributed-generator power-generation-amount estimation means.

Distributed-generator power-generation-amount estimation apparatus and method

A security administration server providing various security services in the LAN and a host server operating in connection thereto are provided. There is installed a security administration server (S) having a function for collecting various log information managed in various devices to be monitored (C) operating in the LAN, a function for generating an image by extracting information useful for security management of the LAN from collected log information and visualizing such information to a form easy for a person to use, and a function for sending the image to another monitoring device (C). Further, the security administration server (S) provides various security services in connection with a host server (H) operating in an external network.

A charge pumping circuit includes a constant current source, a switch element, a first MOS transistor, a second MOS transistor, and a switching-off circuit. The constant current source generates and outputs a current having a constant current value. The switch element is turned on and outputs a current determined by the constant current source when an input signal is active. The first MOS transistor flows the current output from the switch element. The second MOS transistor constitutes a current mirror circuit together with the first MOS transistor, and outputs a current having a current value based on the current flowing through the first MOS transistor, as one of charge and discharge currents. The switching-off circuit turns off the second MOS transistor by charging or discharging the gate when the input signal is inactive.

A weft picking system for an air jet loom provided with a microcomputer as a controller. The weft picking system comprises a weft traction device including a pair of rollers one of which is driven by an inverter motor. A weft yarn fed from a weft measuring and storing device can be put between the rollers to be drawn toward a weft posture regulating nozzle. The weft posture regulating nozzle is arranged to project the weft yarn into the shed of warp yarns while regulating the posture of the weft yarn, under the influence of an air jet ejected therefrom and under assistance of air ejection from a plurality of sub-nozzles. The rollers are always driven to rotate during a weaving operation of the loom. A change-over device is provided to change the weft yarn from a first state of being put between the rollers to a second state of separating from the rollers or vice versa. The changing from the second state to the first state of the weft yarn is made after the starting of ejection of the fluid jet from the weft posture regulating nozzle in a weft picking cycle thereby preventing the weft yarn from being slackened in a location between the weft traction device and the weft posture regulating nozzle.

A weft sensing system for a weaving machine such as an air jet loom or a water jet loom includes an image sensor camera for scanning at least a line passing through a weft insertion path to detect an abnormal weft insertion. The image sensor camera is set to perform one or more scans in each pick, and connected with an image processor which monitors the size or position of an image of a weft yarn. Preferably, the image sensor camera is positioned on the front side of the reed.

The present invention relates to a meter suitable for use in vehicles. The meter has a polarizing window which allows light having a vertical component only to pass therethrough and is preferably oriented so that optimum angle of incidence i of the polarized light on, the windshield for example, for attenuation of the reflection thereof, occurs. The outer surface of the window is preferably provided with a non-reflecting or anti-glare finish so that light from a source external of the meter is not reflected off the window. The arrangement ensures that visibility obscuring reflections on the windshield and the like caused by the meter mounted in prominent position on the instrument panel is not caused by light sources within or external of the meter.

An illuminating device for an instrument of a vehicle or the like using a light guiding member for introducing outside light during the day time to illuminate the dial of the instrument clearly at a brightness matching with that of the scenery. An internal light source is provided to illuminate the same dial in a dark place.

A radar system of the invention transmits a series of microwave burst energy backwardly of stationary vehicle to receive a return signal. When the return signal occurs within a preset time interval, a first and second Doppler signals are derived by mixing the return signal with first and second locally generated oscillations having a phase difference therebetween so that there is a varying phase difference between the first and second Doppler signals depending upon the direction of movement of the detected vehicle. A phase discrimination circuit generates a warning signal when the two Doppler signals have a predetermined phase relation.

A vehicle comprising a radar system for surveillance of a side and rear area and a rearview mirror unit mounted on the outside of the vehicle body. The antenna reflector of the radar has a light-transmissible structure and is received in the frame of the rearview mirror unit so as to be spaced rearwards from the mirror and to protrude sidewise from the outline of the vehicle body. This antenna arrangement is most appropriate to side-rear lookout and is favorable to the appearance of the vehicle.

A device for detecting any failure in a plurality of loads connected in parallel with one another comprises an indicator lamp connected in series with first and second magnetically operable switching elements. A control circuit comprising first and second coils associated, respectively, with the first and second switching elements is connected in series between a DC power source and the parallel connected loads. A third coil associated with the first switching element and producing a magnetic field opposing that of the first coil is connected in series with a resistor across the power source. A zener diode in series with a resistance is connected in parallel with the third coil. The sensitivities of the first and second switching elements and the coil constants are adjusted so that the first switching element is opened only when the number of the load failures is between 1 and K-1, where K is an integer between 2 and n, while the second switching element is opened only when at least K loads fail on condition that the intensity of the composite magnetic field produced by the first and third coils is close to zero when the number of the load failures is K-1.
