In one embodiment, an X-ray CT apparatus includes: an X-ray detector equipped with a plurality of detection elements each of which is configured to output an X-ray signal in accordance with X-rays passing through an object; and a scan controller configured to acquire X-ray signals in each of a first mode and a second mode in one scan by switching between the first mode and the second mode, the first mode being a mode of acquiring high-resolution data which are respective X-ray signals outputted from the plurality of detection elements, the second mode being a mode of acquiring normal-resolution data in which X-ray signals outputted from some of the plurality of detection elements are integrated.

According to one embodiment, an X-ray CT apparatus includes a fixed part, a rotating part, a detector, an A/D converter, a data transmitter, and a wireless transceiver. The rotating part is configured to be rotatably attached to the fixed part to rotate around a subject. The detector is arranged in the rotating part, and detects X-rays emitted from an irradiator and generates an analog signal. The A/D converter is arranged in the rotating part, and converts the analog signal to a digital signal. The data transmitter is arranged in the rotating part, and, upon receipt of the digital signal from the A/D converter, transmits the digital signal to a data receiver arranged in the fixed part. The wireless transceiver wirelessly transmits and receives signals in at least a part between the detector and the A/D converter or between the A/D converter and the data transmitter.

A medical image diagnostic apparatus includes an acquisition circuitry configured to acquire data concerning the interior of an object, a reconstruction circuitry configured to reconstruct the first image concerning the object based on the acquired data, a display, and an enlargement reconstruction circuitry configured to enlarge/reconstruct the second image corresponding to the set enlargement reconstruction range based on a portion of the acquired data, with the second image being displayed in a display area of the display in place of a portion of the first image under the control of the display control circuitry.

An X-ray computed tomography apparatus according to an embodiment includes an X-ray detector, a data-acquisition module and a reconstruction module. In the X-ray detector, a plurality of X-ray detection elements are arranged in a channel direction and a column direction. The data-acquisition module includes a plurality of data-acquisition circuits and a plurality of output modules. A plurality of systems of at least the data-acquisition circuits among the X-ray detection elements and the data-acquisition circuits are disposed in parallel per element of the X-ray detection elements in a center vicinity. Each of the output modules outputs digital data obtained via the data-acquisition circuits. The reconstruction module reconstructs a medical image, based on the output digital data.

According to one embodiment, a data detection system for an X-ray CT apparatus includes a data acquisition circuit and a connection structure. The data acquisition circuit includes at least one row of X-ray detection elements arrayed in a channel direction. The X-ray CT apparatus includes an X-ray source for irradiating X-rays over an object, a multi-slice detector provided facing to the X-ray source for acquiring wide range projection data by a first helical scan, a wide range projection data memory unit for storing the wide range projection data, and a narrow range projection data memory unit for storing the narrow range projection data of a designated region of interest (ROI) only. A controlling method for the X-ray CT apparatus acquires narrow range projection data by a second scan on the ROI along a slice direction and generates compounded projection data based on the narrow range projection data and the wide range projection data. The method generates images based on the compounded projection data.

There is disclosed an X-ray computer tomography system having an X-ray tube for producing X-rays, an X-ray detector including plural detector modules, a rotation mechanism by which the X-ray tube and the X-ray detector are held so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation, a reconstruction unit for reconstructing images based on the output from the detector, and a display unit for displaying the reconstructed images. Each of the detector modules has plural detector elements arranged in a matrix. The detector elements act to detect the X-rays transmitted through a subject to be examined. The detector modules are arranged along a reference axis substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation and tilted relative to the axis of rotation.

The angle of each collimator plate with respect to an X ray focal point is determined by fitting the collimator plate in grooves formed in upper and lower supports each having an integral structure. In addition, the warpage of each collimator plate is corrected and its flatness is maintained by fitting the periphery of the collimator plate which is on the X ray detector side in a corresponding groove of an abutment plate provided on the X ray detection surface side of the upper and lower supports. A monitoring unit monitors the first data detecting system. In a period during which the first data detecting system is normal, data acquisition is performed by both the first and second data detecting systems. In a period during which the first data detecting system is faulty, data acquisition is performed by the second data detecting system alone.

An X-ray apparatus including an X-ray source, a rotation mechanism which rotates the X-ray source about a rotational axis, and an X-ray detector having a plurality of detection elements. A blocking member defining a slit structure is provided between the X-ray source and the X-ray detector. The slits of the blocking member include two rows aligned in a channel direction of the detector elements, and two rows staggered in the channel direction, thereby to obtain a CT image with improved spatial resolution. Alternatively, instead of using a blocking member, some of the detection elements of at least one detection segment are staggered in the channel direction with respect to detection elements of another detection segment.

An X-ray computed tomography apparatus is provided to reconstruct image data based on projection data acquired by scanning a subject with an X-ray. A calculator is configured to calculate a dose efficiency index based on an expected dose of an X-ray radiated from an input device. The dose efficiency index indicates a diameter of a target which is identified at a predetermined detectability rate and has a predetermined CT value difference with respect to a surrounding CT value. A plan support system is configured to build up a scan planning screen on which the input expected dose is contained along with the calculated dose efficiency index.
