The present invention relates to a cooling device and a control method therefor. This cooling device includes: a first cooling liquid line routed by way of a cylinder head and a radiator; a second cooling liquid line routed by way of a cylinder block while bypassing the radiator; a third cooling liquid line routed by way of the cylinder head and a heater core while bypassing the radiator; a flow rate control valve for distributing cooling water to the cooling liquid lines; and mechanical and electric water pumps. A control unit controls the flow rate control valve according to the temperatures of the cylinder head and block, during engine operation, and causes the electric water pump to operate while controlling the flow rate control valve according to the temperature of the cylinder head, and whether or not heat exchange in the heater core is requested, during temporary engine stop.

The present invention relates to a cooling device and a control method for the same. This cooling device includes: a first cooling liquid line routed by way of a cylinder head and a radiator; a second cooling liquid line routed by way of a cylinder block while bypassing the radiator; an electric flow rate control valve whose inlet is connected to the first and second cooling liquid lines, and whose outlet is connected to the intake side of an electric water pump; and a bypass line that branches off from the first cooling liquid line at a point between the cylinder head and the radiator and that joins to the outlet of the flow rate control valve while bypassing the radiator. A control unit controls the flow rate control valve according to the temperature of the cylinder head and the temperature of the cylinder block.

In an inkjet printing apparatus capable of automatic duplex printing, time required to fix ink is shortened and throughput is improved without producing uneven fixing. The inkjet printing apparatus includes a printing unit that prints onto a sheet, a fixing unit that heats a sheet printed by the printing unit, a conveying unit that conveys a sheet with respect to the printing unit and the fixing unit, and a controller that controls the conveying unit such that a printing region of a sheet printed on the first side by the printing unit passes through the fixing unit, and afterwards, the conveyance direction of the sheet is reversed in order to print on the second side and the printing region once again passes through the fixing unit. The controller variably controls the conveyance speed of the sheet when the printing region once again passes through the fixing unit.

An object of this invention is to increase the transfer rate of image data from a host computer to a printing apparatus. A variable valve timing control apparatus of an internal combustion engine has a drive rotary member, a driven rotary member, and an electric motor which rotates with the drive rotary member and changes a rotational phase of the driven rotary member relative to the drive rotary member through a current application to a coil. The electric motor is covered with a cover member with a clearance interposed therebetween, and a bearing member is installed between an outer periphery of the electric motor and an inner periphery of the cover member for rotatably supporting the electric motor. A variable valve timing control apparatus of an internal combustion engine has a drive rotary member rotated by an engine crankshaft, a driven rotary member fixedly connected to a camshaft and transferring a turning force from the drive rotary member to the camshaft, and a phase-change mechanism changing a relative rotational phase between the drive and driven rotary members and having an intermediate rotary member installed between the drive and driven rotary members for a relative rotational phase control. A valve timing control device includes a drive pulley driven by a crankshaft of an engine, and a driven camshaft. The camshaft has a cam that serves to open and close an intake port. An engine valve is spring-loaded by a valve spring, whereas the cam opens or closes the engine valve against the bias of the spring. Torque is transmittable between the drive pulley and the camshaft, and a rotation angle adjusting mechanism is provided therebetween.
