A gas compressor includes: a low pressure gas path that introduces compressed gas delivered from a low pressure stage compressor body into a high pressure stage compressor body; a first low pressure gas release valve disposed on a first low pressure branch path branched from the low pressure gas path; a high pressure gas path that introduces the compressed gas delivered from the high pressure stage compressor body to a demand destination; a first high pressure gas release valve disposed on a first high pressure branch path branched from the high pressure gas path; and a control device. The first low pressure branch path is disposed on a downstream side of a heat exchanger for low pressure stage exhaust heat recovery. The first high pressure branch path is disposed on a downstream side of a heat exchanger for high pressure stage exhaust heat recovery. The control device opens the first low pressure gas release valve and the first high pressure gas release valve at a time of switching from load operation to no-load operation.

A casing of a screw compressor has a delivery inner wall face facing delivery end faces of a male rotor and a female rotor. The delivery inner wall face of the casing has a shield area that shields at least a part of a track of an axial fluid communication path, which is a clearance that periodically occurs at the delivery end faces according to variation of intermeshing of the male and female rotors upon rotation thereof and is bounded by trailing flanks of the male and female rotors. The shield area of the casing is provided with a groove group made up of a plurality of grooves having longitudinal directions. The grooves of the groove group are juxtaposed in the circumferential direction of at least one rotor of the male and female rotors and are arranged such that their sides extending in the longitudinal directions are disposed adjacent to each other. Each groove of the groove group is configured such that its longitudinal direction oriented from the inner circumferential side of the one rotor toward the outer circumferential side is inclined with respect to the radial direction of the one rotor in the same direction as the rotational direction of the one rotor.

Screw compressor

A liquid-supply-type screw compressor can suppress a rise in temperature of a liquid while reducing work for stirring the liquid. The compressor has male and female rotors, male- and female-rotor-side working chambers formed at grooves of the male and female rotors, respectively. The compressor also has a liquid supply nozzle arranged on one side in the rotor axial direction which is a low-pressure side of an intersection at which a high-pressure-side cusp intersects a ridge line of a trailing lobe tip of the female rotor that defines a female-rotor-side working chamber, the nozzle supplying liquid to the male-rotor-side working chamber; and a liquid-supply nozzle arranged on the other side in the rotor axial direction which is a high-pressure side of the intersection, and supplies the liquid to the male-rotor-side working chamber, and the liquid supply amount of the nozzle is made greater than the amount of the other liquid-supply nozzle.

The casing has an internal liquid supply flow path that extends from a discharge side of the compression working chambers as an upstream side to a suction side of the compression working chambers as a downstream side and that supplies the liquid to the liquid supply port. The internal liquid supply flow path has a downstream portion reaching the bearing chamber and supplies the liquid to the suction side bearing.

A package-type compressor includes a body unit, a controller, a casing, a first cooling air inlet, a second cooling air inlet, a cooling air outlet, a fan duct, a cooling fan, an air cooling type heat exchanger, a machine chamber, and a cooling duct. The cooling duct is provided below the fan duct, the cooling duct causing the cooling air taken in at the second cooling air inlet to flow along the controller toward the suction port of the fan duct. The gas compressor includes a compressor main unit, a drive source, an intake throttle valve, a gas release valve, rotation speed converting means, a pressure detecting device that detects a discharge pressure, and a controller that, the relationship between an upper-limit pressure H and a lower-limit pressure L being H&#x3e;L, carries out opening the intake throttle valve and closing the gas release valve and operating the drive source at a full-load rotation speed until the discharge pressure reaches the upper-limit pressure H. The controller carries out at least one of closing the intake throttle valve and opening the gas release valve to reduce the discharge pressure to within a predetermined range when the discharge pressure reaches the upper-limit pressure H. The controller carries out switching to load operation when the discharge pressure drops to the lower-limit pressure L. In the gas compressor, the controller outputs a command of a lower rotation speed than the full-load rotation speed to the rotation speed converting means when the discharge pressure rises and reaches the upper-limit pressure H. The controller outputs a command of the full-load rotation speed to the rotation speed converting means when the discharge pressure drops and reaches the lower-limit pressure L.

A screw compressor includes a screw rotor, a casing, and a delivery side shaft sealing unit. The delivery side shaft sealing unit includes an annular groove, a seal ring, and a shaft sealing fluid supply passage. Pressure of the fluid that is supplied to the one side, in the axial direction, of the seal ring via the shaft sealing fluid supply passage is set higher than pressure that acts on a first side surface, in an axial direction with respect to a first side wall surface of the annular groove, of the seal ring.
