An inside diameter measuring tool includes: a main body; an axially moving spindle having a male screw to be screwed to the main body; a plurality of contact pieces provided on the main body, the measuring pieces moving in a direction substantially orthogonal to the axial direction of the spindle; and a conical member interposed between the contact pieces and the spindle, the conical member advancing and retracting the contact pieces in the direction substantially orthogonal to the axial direction of the spindle. The lead of the male screw of the spindle is 1.0 mm or more and the cone angle of the conical member is less than 53 degrees. Preferably, the lead of the male screw is 2.0 mm and the cone angle of the conical member is approximately 28 degrees.

A digital displacement measuring instrument detects a displacement of a spindle by an encoder and then displays the displacement on a digital display unit. With an imaginary base line centered along an axial direction of an outer circumference of a sleeve, a millimeter graduation for displaying the displacement of the spindle in millimeters is provided on one side, and the inch graduation for displaying the displacement of the spindle is provided on the other side.

Digital displacement measuring instrument

A digital displacement measuring instrument includes a spindle screwed into a body to be axially advanced and retracted relative to the body; and an encoder that detects a displacement of the spindle. The encoder includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor is supported by a rotor bushing. The rotor bushing includes an engaging key engageable with a key groove axially provided on the outer circumference of the spindle, and is displaceable in the axial direction of the spindle via a position adjusting screw. The stator is fixed to the body via a stator bushing in the vicinity of the spindle so as not to be displaceable in the axial direction of the spindle.

A main scale graduation, an auxiliary scale graduation or the like provided in a conventional micrometer is omitted, and a thimble 71 is provided at a regular position in the axial direction of the spindle 61 through a sleeve 51 in a frame 1 to rotate about the axis of a spindle 61. Between the thimble 71 and the spindle 61, a rotation transfer means 81 for transferring the rotation of the thimble 71 to the spindle 61 and allowing the spindle 61 to displace in the axial direction of the spindle 61. As the rotation transfer means 81, a ratchet system 82 is used.

A digital display micrometer gauge holds a workpiece to be measured between an anvil and a spindle. An engagement member is provided at an end of the spindle. An inner sleeve having an axial slit into which the engagement member is inserted, is secured to a U-shaped main frame, and an outer sleeve having a spiral groove, which is formed in the inner peripheral section thereof, is provided on the outer periphery of the inner sleeve to be circumferentially rotatable. By rotating this outer sleeve, the spindle can be driven at high speed. A main scale constituting a linear encoder is attached to a side surface of the spindle extending along the axis of the spindle, whereby the displacement amount of the spindle can be detected with high accuracy. A slide member slidable on the inner surface of the inner sleeve is provided at the end of the spindle where the engagement member is provided, and the spindle can be inserted into the inner sleeve together with the main scale attached thereto.

A linear displacement measuring apparatus in which a spindle is disposed movably forwardly and backwardly to a measuring apparatus main body, a detector for detecting a linear displacing amount of the spindle is disposed to the inside of the measuring apparatus main body and a water-proof mechanism is disposed to a liquid intruding path in communication with the detector for preventing liquid from intruding.
