A polarizing optical composite equipped with a polarizing plate holding a polarizer sheet layer between two protective sheet layers, wherein the polarizing sheet layer has on one side thereof at least two layers, in a body, constructed of materials different each other. The polarizing optical composite has high impact resistance and high degree of polarization, and is used as, for example, goggles, sunglasses, and spectacles, which have high impact resistance, has more safety, and can prevent dazzling light.

Polarizing optical composite and polarizing lens

The invention has an object to obtain a polarizing and dimming transparent optical product having both-a polarizing function and a dimming function, for example, polarizing and dimming sunglasses, goggles and lenses. The transparent optical product according to the invention has a lamination structure including one polarizer sheet layer, and at least one layer other than the polarizer sheet having the dimming function. Moreover, a plurality of sheets including one polarizer sheet and at least one sheet other than the polarizer sheet are mutually bonded with an adhesive or a binder to constitute a composite sheet, and at least one of the non-polarizer sheets and adhesive or binder layers in the composite sheet has the dimming function.

Transparent optical article

A composite molded article including a polarizer of polycarbonate is provided which is excellent in impact resistance and allows for the manufacture of an eyesight-corrective polarizing lens for eyeglasses, and which comprises a protective layer 2 formed of an annealed or stretched polycarbonate material, a layer to be polished 4 including an untreated layer 6 formed of a polycarbonate material as injection-molded which is not annealed or stretched, and a polarizing film 3 which are superposed one on another in stack with the polarizing film 3 interposed between the protective layer 2 and the layer to be polished 4, the layer to be polished 4 being greater in thickness than the protective layer 2.
