In an approach for testing the operations of a host system during a host system migration, a terminal agent exchanges messages already exchanged between the current host system and a terminal with the new host system. A manual operation replay unit replays messages generated by manual operations among the messages sent to the current host system by the terminal. An automatic response unit automatically generates a response message for messages received from the new host system. The automatic response unit also generates screen data for a screen displayed on the terminal on the basis of messages received from the new host system. A comparison unit compares and evaluates screen data generated by the automatic response unit and screen data from a screen generated by the terminal on the basis of messages received from the current host system.

Device, method and program for performing system testing

A computing system used for graphical user interface image reproduction includes a processor; and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The processor is configured to: extract data from network traffic being sent from a server to a first client device, the network traffic including cacheable files used to create a graphical user interface display on the first client device; store the cacheable file in a trace file associated with the first client device; and send the cacheable file to a second client device in response to a request from the second client device.

Reproducing a graphical user interface display

A method for reproducing a graphical user interface display includes, with a graphical user interface display reproduction system, extracting data from network traffic being sent from a server to a first client device, the network traffic including cacheable files used to create a graphical user interface display on the first client device, storing the cacheable file in a trace file associated with the first client device, and sending the cacheable file to a second client device in response to a request from the second client device.

Evaluating the coverage of a test, the evaluating including using an apparatus that includes a storage component, an analysis component, and an output component. The storage component is for storing log data of a plurality of tests. The log data includes a plurality of input values that are input to a specified input field on a specified screen and transmitted to a server in each of the plurality of tests that use the specified screen displayed on a client device. The analysis component is for performing analysis that includes analyzing to what extent the plurality of input values included in the log data stored in the storage component cover values that should be input to the specified input field in the plurality of tests. The output component is for outputting a result of the analyzing from the analysis component.

Evaluating coverage of a software test

Playback data is created for testing a server. Recorded data that includes transactions executed in a session established between a client and a server at a designated point in time is extracted. A reduction process that includes deleting data related to certain transactions from the extracted recorded data is performed. The certain transactions are part of a specific transaction group which includes transactions that were executed on or before the designated point in time and includes a transaction that was executed without requiring the execution of a predetermined prior transaction. The playback data is output.
