A stepless speed-change power transmission for vehicle having a fluid coupling, a forward/backward change-over mechanism coupled to a rear stage of the fluid coupling, and a stepless speed changer coupled to a rear stage of the forward/backward change-over mechanism; characterized by that a clutch element, which selectively couples a drive plate with a pump wheel only when a vehicle is operated to drive, is installed between the drive plate transmitting a power from an engine to the fluid coupling and the pump wheel of the fluid coupling; a turbine wheel facing the pump wheel is interconnected through a turbine hub to an output shaft; and the power is transmitted from this output shaft to the forward/backward change-over mechanism.

A stepless speed-change power transmission for a vehicle having a fluid coupling, a forward/backward change-over mechanism coupled to a rear stage of the fluid coupling and a stepless speed changer coupled to a rear stage of the forward/backward change-over mechanism. The fluid coupling has a clutch for selectively coupling an engine driven drive plate with the pump wheel of the fluid coupling, when a vehicle is operated to drive, between the drive plate transmitting power from the engine to the fluid coupling. A turbine wheel facing the pump wheel is interconnected through a turbine hub to an output shaft for transmitting power to the forward/backward change-over mechanism.

The present invention discloses a damper disc of a thin type comprising a central hub provided with a hub flange, two side plates coaxially disposed at both sides of the hub flange, and torsion springs engaged in openings provided respectively in the hub flange and the side plates to circumferentially elastically connect the hub flange and the side plates together, characterized in that the hub flange is provided with openings, in which both side plates are closely fixed together with circumferential spaces between the openings and the closely fixed portions of the side plates.

The present invention discloses a lock-up clutch of a torque converter comprising a disc hub adapted to be connected slidably only in an axial direction to a turbine hub of a torque converter and having a radial flange, a pair of annular side plates disposed at both sides of the hub flange, plural torsion springs disposed in openings and hollows in the hub flange and the side plates for connecting the side plates to the hub flange, each or each set of the springs being adapted to engage at both ends thereof with the side plates and the hub flange, a friction portion provided on a radially outer portion of the side plate and adapted to be axially pressed to an inner surface of a front cover of the torque converter, and a forcing means for forcing and pressing the friction portion to the front cover.
