A plasma activated ophthalmic solution generating device operable to generate a therapeutic ophthalmic solution for curing epidemic keratoconjunctivitis includes a plasma generating electrode operable to generate a plasma activated ophthalmic solution for epidemic keratoconjunctivitis, wherein the plasma generating electrode is arranged surrounding an insert space where a unit dose ophthalmic eyedrop container with a container body, which seals a certain solution in a sterile state, is inserted; a power supply unit; and a high voltage generating unit, which is connected to the power supply unit, operable to be supplied with power source from the power supply unit and to apply high voltage electric current to the plasma generating electrode. This configuration makes it possible to provide a novel and effective therapeutic ophthalmic solution for epidemic keratoconjunctivitis (EKC).

An eyeglass lens grinding machine is provided in which a bevel can be easily formed on the periphery of an eyeglass lens in such a manner that those portions of the lens which will protrude from either the front or rear surface of an eyeglass frame are appropriately adjusted in areas where the edge thickness is great in order to achieve a good aesthetic appeal after the lens has been fitted in the frame. In the improved eyeglass lens grinding machine, the frame configurational data on the eyeglass frame and the layout data to be used in providing a layout of the lens corresponding to the eyeglass frame are entered. The edge position of a processed lens is detected on the basis of the entered data. A first bevel path is determined on the basis of the result of the detection. A second bevel path is obtained by tilting the first bevel path in such a way that it passes through a desired position on the lens edge and the bevelling of the lens is controlled on the basis of the second bevel path.

Eyeglass lens grinding machine

A subject lens is held by two chuck shafts, which are rotated synchronously by pulse motors during a grinding operation. Chamfering and other grinding wheels are mounted on a rotary shaft of a lens grinding part. A desired grinding wheel for each processing is selected by moving the rotary shaft vertically. In the case of rough processing, the rotary shaft is moved by a pulse motor toward the center of the chuck shafts based on lens frame shape data. In the case of chamfering, the rotary shaft is moved toward the center of the chuck shafts as well as vertically based on chamfering data. To produce part of the chamfering data, a lens measuring section measures the shapes of the front and rear surfaces of the subject lens.

Lens grinding apparatus having chamfering and other grinding wheels

A subject lens is held by two chuck shafts, which are rotated synchronously by pulse motors during a grinding operation. A group of grinding wheels are mounted on each of rotary shafts of right and left lens grinding parts. The rotary shafts are disposed on opposite sides of the chuck shafts. A desired grinding wheel for each processing is selected by moving the rotary shaft vertically. To grind the subject lens, the rotary shafts are moved independently by pulse motors toward the rotation axis of the chuck shafts based on lens frame shape data in the case of rough processing.

Lens grinding apparatus for grinding an eyeglass lens from a plurality

An apparatus and a method for processing lens peripheries which allow lenses to be properly fitted in a frame, i.e., which processes lenses with high dimensional accuracy. For this purpose, the lens periphery processing apparatus and method are designed to comprise an input device for inputting the configuration of lens frame portions of the eyeglasses frame which is a result of three-dimensional measurement, a calculation device for deriving peripheral lengths of the lens frame portions from the three-dimensional lens frame portion configuration inputted by the input device, a tapered edge curve determining device for determining a curve value defined by the locus of the tapered edge of each lens, and a computing device for computing the locus of the tapered edge of each lens which substantially coincides with the peripheral length of the associated lens frame portion which is obtained by the calculation device.
