A suspension body for an elevator includes a core having a belt-like shape, and a covering layer. The core includes a load bearing layer. The load bearing layer is formed of an impregnation resin and a plurality of high-strength fibers. The covering layer covers at least a part of an outer periphery of the core. The plurality of high-strength fibers include a plurality of kinds of high-strength fibers.

Elevator, suspension body for the elevator, and manufacturing method for the suspension body

An elevator apparatus includes: a traction machine including a sheave around which a middle portion of a main rope from which a car and counterweight are suspended is wound; a controller configured to control travel of the car; a section specification unit configured to specify a determination target section serving as a travel section, including at least a travel position of the car, satisfying a predetermined determination execution condition; a sheave rotation detector configured to detect a sheave rotation amount; and a determinator configured to determine traction performance of the sheave based on the sheave rotation amount detected during travel of the car in the determination target section. The determination execution condition is to have a load weight and an acceleration of the car that cause direction of an acceleration vector of one of a car side and a counterweight side heavier than the other to match an ascent direction.

Elevator apparatus

A suspension body for an elevator includes a core having a belt-like shape, and a covering layer covering at least a part of an outer periphery of the core. The core includes a load bearing layer. The load bearing layer is formed of an impregnation resin and a plurality of high-strength fibers. Further, the load bearing layer is divided into a plurality of segment layers arranged apart from each other in a thickness direction of the core. An intermediate layer made of a material different from that for the load bearing layer is interposed between the segment layers adjacent to each other in the thickness direction of the core.

An elevator diagnosing device includes a hoisting machine including a sheave, around which a middle portion of a main rope suspending an elevator car is wound, and a controller controlling travel of the elevator car by controlling operation of the hoisting machine. The controller includes a car controller performing first travel control causing the elevator car to travel at a first acceleration/deceleration and second travel control causing the elevator car to travel at a second acceleration/deceleration less than the first acceleration/deceleration, a rope feed amount difference detector detecting a difference in feed amount of the main rope by rotation of the sheave when the elevator car travels equal distances under the first and second travel controls, and a determiner determining traction performance of the sheave based on the difference in the amount of feed of the main rope detected by the rope feed amount difference detector.

Elevator diagnosing device

A machine room-less elevator includes a car configured to ascend and descend in a hoistway of an architectural structure, a counter weight configured to ascend and descend reversely to the car, a rope configured to suspend the car and the counter weight, and a hoisting machine configured to drive the rope. A support beam assembly, which is configured to bear not a load of the architectural structure but at least loads of the car, the counter weight, the rope, and the hoisting machine, is supported on a top-story floor beam assembly of the architectural structure.

Machine room-less elevator

A method for detecting degradation of resin film detects whether a resin coated rope having a circumferential portion coated with resin film has the resin film degraded. The method for detecting degradation of resin film includes: winding a wire on a circumferential portion of the resin coated rope; applying tension to the wire to compress the resin film in a radial direction of the resin coated rope; and comparing a first relationship with a second relationship to determine how the resin film is degraded, the first relationship indicating a relationship between the tension of the wire and how much amount the resin film has compressed, as obtained in the applying, the second relationship indicating a relationship between the tension of the wire and how much amount the resin film has compressed, as predetermined as a reference.

Method and apparatus for detecting degradation of resin film

A wire rope flaw detector that is capable of accommodating a plurality of wire rope diameters and is inexpensive includes at least two magnetic sensor units that are integrated with a magnetizer and include planer coils placed opposite to each other with a magnetic circuit generated by the magnetizer in between, in the direction almost parallel to the magnetic circuit in a predetermined section of a wire rope. The detector further includes an adjuster capable of changing the distance between the at least two magnetic sensor units depending on the diameter of the wire rope.
