A cartridge detachable from a printer has a roll paper unit including roll paper, a roller, and flanges, and a separation member used to pull out the roll paper from the roll paper unit. Upon rotating the roll paper unit in a direction to feed out the roll paper, the roll paper is brought into contact with the separation member, thereby pulling out the roll paper from the roll paper unit and feeding out the roll paper to outside the cartridge.

When the caddie is loaded on the apparatus, the sub-turntable is fixed on the turntable by the magnet.

A magneto-optical disk apparatus performs at least one of recording and reproduction of information with a magneto-optical recording medium having a disk shape. The magneto-optical disk apparatus comprises an optical device for irradiating the medium with a light beam and a first magnetic field applying device for applying a magnetic field modulated according to information to a portion on the medium which is irradiated with the light beam. The first magnetic field applying device comprises a magnetic head for generating a magnetic field and a floating-type slider for supporting the magnetic head. The core member has two ends located on either side of the medium such that the gap is positioned at the beam irradiated portion. The apparatus further comprises a moving device for moving the first and second magnetic field applying devices and the optical device together in a radial direction of the medium.
