Compounds represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein Rf and Rf' mean a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms or a (.omega.-H-perfluoroalkyl group represented by the formula H(CF.sub.2).sub.t in which t stands for an integer of 1-20, R.sup.2 denotes a hydrogen atom, a straight-chain or branched aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms, an alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon group having 5-10 carbon atoms, a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, or .omega.-H-perfluoroalkyl group represented by the formula H(CF.sub.2).sub.u - in which u stands for an integer of 1-20, X and Y mean individually a single bond, --CO-- or a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1-6 carbon atoms, l stands for a number of 2-16, and m and n are individually a number of 1-6. The compounds are useful for preparing fluorine-modified silicone derivatives suitable for cosmetic compositions.

The present invention is directed to cosmetic compositions containing a fluorine-modified silicon derivative the organopolysiloxane chain which is partly substituted by the siloxane chain of the following general formula (1), (2) or (3) ##STR1## wherein Rf and Rf' mean individually a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms or a .omega.-H-perfluoroalkyl group represented by the formula H(CF.sub.2).sub.t -- in which t stands for an integer of 1-20, R.sup.1 may be identical with or different from each other and means a straight-chain or branched aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms, or an alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon group having 5-10 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 denotes a hydrogen atom, a straight-chain or branched aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms, an alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon group having 5-10 carbon atoms, a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, or a .omega.-H-perfluoroalkyl group represented by the formula H(CF.sub.2).sub.u -- in which u stands for an integer of 1-20, R.sup.3 is a divalent hydrocarbon group having 2-16 carbon atoms, X and Y mean individually a single bond, --CO-- or a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1-6 carbon atoms, l stands for a number of 2-16, m and n are individually a number of 1-6, and r is a number of 0-50.

Fluorine-modified silicone derivative, production thereof, and cosmetic

The present invention is directed to a fluorine-modified silicone derivative the organopolysiloxane chain which is partly substituted by the siloxane chain of the following general formula (1), (2) or (3), a preparation process thereof, intermediates useful for the preparation thereof and cosmetic compositions containing this derivative. ##STR1## wherein Rf and Rf' mean individually a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms or a .omega.-H-perfluoroalkyl group represented by the formula H(CF.sub.2).sub.t -- in which t stands for an integer of 1-20, R.sup.1 may be identical with or different from each other and means a straight-chain or branched aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms, or an alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon group having 5-10 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 denotes a hydrogen atom, a straight-chain or branched aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms, an alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon group having 5-10 carbon atoms, a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, or a .omega.-H-perfluoroalkyl group represented by the formula H(CF.sub.2).sub.u --in which u stands for an integer of 1-20, R.sup.3 is a divalent hydrocarbon group having 2-16 carbon atoms, X and Y mean individually a single bond, --CO-- or a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1-6 carbon atoms, l stands for a number of 2-16, m and n are individually a number of 1-6, and r is a number of 0-50. Cosmetic compositions containing this compound have excellent water and oil repellency and are also good in lastingness of makeup and feeling upon use.

A fluorine-modified silicon compound having a polymerization degree of from 1 to 400 and containing at least one siloxane unit represented by formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents an aliphatic straight-chain or branched hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms or an alicyclic hydrocarbon group having 5 to 10 carbon atoms or an aromatic hydrocarbon compound having 6 to 10 carbon atoms; and m represents 0 or an integer of from 1 to 10; a process for preparing the same; and a cosmetic containing the same are disclosed. A polyol fatty acid ester having mixed acid groups is produced by reacting a partial ester of a polyol and a branched fatty acid with a a straight chain fatty acid or a lower alcohol ester thereof in the presence of a lipase. The obtained glyceride mixture contains a large amount of diglyceride having a branched, saturated fatty acid group and a straight chain, saturated fatty acid group.

A water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic, which comprises a specific emulsifier mixture, an oily base containing a silicone oil and water and has a viscosity of 20,000 cps or below at 25.degree. C. is disclosed. The water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic of the present invention imparts a good feel to the skin during use, is safe to use and has a high storage stability, which makes it widely applicable for use in, for example, milky lotions, body-care lotions and liquid-type foundations.

They can provide a high, long-lasting moisturizing effect, and at the same time preserve the moisturizing function of the skin or hair after a lapse of time or even after the portion to which it was applied has been washed. These effects are further promoted by formulating to the cosmetics a specific type hydrophilic humectant.
