A method of producing a diaphragm damperhaving a high pressure chambercomprised of two diaphragmswith flangeswelded together and charged inside with a high pressure gas. The diaphragmsare made of magnetically attractable thin metal sheets. A pair of jigsprovided to face each other inside the pressure vesselhold the diaphragmsby magnetic force. The pressure vesselis sealed and evacuated, then the pressure vesselis charged and pressurized by a mixed gas including helium. After this, the pair of jigsare made to approach each other to make the flangesof the pair of diaphragmscome into close contact. Inside the pressure vessel, the jigsare simultaneously rotated to rotate the pair of diaphragmsand a laser beam is fired at the flangesof the diaphragmsto weld the flangesover their entire circumferences.
