A gas container includes: a tubular container body having an internal space for storing gas; a connector attached to an end portion of the container body in a shaft direction and having a communication passage for allowing the internal space to communicate with an outside of the container body; and a storage member disposed in the internal space to absorb and release gas. The storage member has one of a recess portion and a projection portion which are provided on a radial outer surface thereof and engage with each other. The container body has the other of the recess portion and the projection portion which are provided on a radial inner surface thereof.

Gas container

A gas container includes a tubular container main body formed by a plurality of pieces which include a first dome piece and a second dome piece and are disposed separately in an axial direction, the tubular container main body having an internal space configured to store a gas, a first mouthpiece attached to the first dome piece, a second mouthpiece attached to the second dome piece, a storage member configured to store and release a gas, and a tubular accommodation member disposed in the internal space and having an accommodation space accommodating the storage member. A method for assembling a gas container includes a first step of assembling and fixing the accommodation member to the first mouthpiece attached to the first dome piece, and temporarily assembling the accommodation member to the second mouthpiece attached to the second dome piece, and a second step of connecting the pieces to each other.

Method for assembling gas container and gas container

A fuel system component used to supply a fuel to a fuel tank or used to discharge the fuel from the fuel tank comprises a first resin layer; and a second resin layer formed in a similar color to that of the first resin layer and configured to include a welding portion that is welded to the first resin layer and an exposed portion that is not adjacent to or in contact with the first resin layer. A belt-like portion is formed on a first resin layer-side and conically shaped surface of the exposed portion of the second resin layer at a distance from a boundary between the welding portion and the exposed portion and is configured to include at least one of a concavity and a convexity extended intermittently or continuously.

Fuel system component

A fuel vapor processing apparatus may include a case defining therein a first adsorption chamber, a second adsorption chamber and a non-adsorption chamber communicating between the first adsorption chamber and the second adsorption chamber. The cross sectional flow area of the first adsorption chamber may be smaller than the cross sectional flow area of the second adsorption chamber.

Fuel vapor processing apparatus

An evaporated fuel treating apparatus and method of treating evaporated fuel, that can re-gasify adsorbed fuel within a canister and supply it to an engine, are obtained. A compressor, a first control valve, a storage container and a second control valve are provided at a supply delivery piping that communicates a canister with an engine air intake tube, in that order from the canister side. By driving the compressor, vapor within the canister is fed to the storage container, canister internal pressure is lowered, and gasification of a fuel component adsorbed by an adsorbent is promoted. Further, evaporated fuel stored in the storage container is forcibly fed to an engine by internal pressure of the storage container.

Evaporated fuel treating apparatus and method of treating evaporated fuel

An evaporated fuel treating apparatus that realizes enhanced exertion of the treating capability of a canister for evaporated fuel and thus efficient treatment of evaporated fuel. Vapor piping for feeding an evaporated fuel from fuel tank to canister is provided with first close valve. The first close valve is capable of regulating the flow rate of transit evaporated fuel through regulation of the opening degree thereof. Accordingly, the evaporated fuel treating capability of the canister can be exerted higher than in the system in which the flow rate of evaporated fuel is not regulated.

Evaporated fuel treating apparatus

A fuel tank produced in such a manner that an upper shell and a lower shell melt-molded as two split molded parts from a PPS resin composition are welded to each other at a welding portion. The PPS resin composition contains (a) 60% by weight to 95% by weight of a PPS resin, and (b) 5% by weight to 40% by weight of an olefin resin. The (a) PPS resin contains (a-1) a PPS resin having an MFR of 90 g/10 min to 350 g/10 min and an amount of extracts by chloroform of 2.2% by weight to 4.5% by weight. The (b) olefin resin contains (b-1) a specific olefin copolymer, and (b-2) an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer. The MFR of the PPS resin composition is 15 g/10 min to 50 g/10 min.

Resin molded product and fuel tank

A fuel tank body has a double-layer structure composed of an inner tank shell and an outer tank shell, so that an inter-tank-shell space is formed therebetween. Because heat of fuel in the fuel tank body is discharged into the inter-tank-shell space, the temperature of fuel in the fuel tank body is prevented from rising. If the pressure in a canister becomes negative due to a negative pressure in an intake system of an engine, more specifically, a negative pressure in a surge tank leading to an air cleaner, high-temperature air in the inter-tank-shell space between the inner tank shell and the outer tank shell flows into the canister. On the other hand, low-temperature air flows from the air cleaner into the inter-tank-shell space which has become negative in pressure.

Fuel tank system

Fuel tank

A cooling unit is mounted to an upper wall of a fuel tank so as to cool fuel. A control valve and a vent valve are disposed in a vapor line extending from a float valve to a canister. The control valve and the vent valve are disposed in parallel with one another and constitute a valve member. A cooling unit is mounted to an evaporation passage between a float valve and the valve member. Operation of the cooling units serves to cool fuel and inhibit generation of vapor. If the pressure in the fuel tank exceeds a control pressure, a control circuit opens the control valve and performs control such that the pressure in the fuel tank becomes lower than a running-state relief pressure.

A fuel storage device includes a fuel chamber storing fuel therein, a volume of the fuel chamber changing in accordance with a change in an amount of fuel in the fuel chamber. The amount of fuel in the fuel chamber is detected based on the displacement of at least two portions of a member constituting the fuel chamber that are displaceable in accordance with the amount of fuel in the fuel chamber.

Fuel amount detector

A lower wall (8) forming a fuel storage chamber (5) becomes curved downward according to increase of the fuel amount, and at this time a support member (23) for supporting the fuel storage chamber (5) does not restrain the downward curvature of the lower wall (8), whereby the capacity of the fuel storage chamber (5) can be increased and whereby the amount of the fuel that can be stored in the fuel storage chamber (5) can be maintained at the maximum, as compared with structure inhibiting deformation of the lower wall (8).

A fuel supply system having a pump for drawing and discharging fuel from a tank and a filter for catching foreign matter in the fuel. A housing has a fuel outlet and supports the pump. The pump has a fuel intake port and a fuel discharge port. A fuel passage is located in the housing and connects the fuel outlet with the discharge port The filter is located in the fuel passage. The filter has a filter case and a filter element therein. The filter case is located in the housing spaced from the inner wall thereof.

According to the present invention, there is provided a fuel reserving device for reserving fuel therein comprising a wall for dividing an interior of the device to a fuel chamber and an air chamber, the wall being deformable according to the amount of the fuel in the fuel chamber, a discharge passage which is open to a space formed above the surface of the fuel in the fuel chamber and a shut off valve for normally shutting the discharge passage off. Gas is discharged from the space via the discharge passage when the shut off valve is open. The shut off valve is opened and the gas is discharged from the space when the amount of the gas is larger than a predetermined amount. On the other hand, the shut off valve is closed and the discharging operation of the gas is stopped when the amount of the gas is smaller than the predetermined amount.
