A display system and a method for driving a display, where the display system includes a first device comprising a first display, wherein the first display comprises a first electrode and a second electrode with a display component layer therebetween, and the second electrode is grounded, and a second device comprising a third electrode and an electric voltage source coupling to the third electrode, wherein when an electric voltage is applied to the third electrode by the electric voltage source, the third electrode is capable of inducing electrostatic charges on the first electrode, and a potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode produced by the electrostatic charges on the first electrode is capable of driving molecules in the display component layer to be re-distributed.

Display system and method for driving display

It is an object to provide an active matrix liquid crystal display device capable of effectively eliminating flicker with a simple structure. An active matrix liquid crystal display device has a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of source busses extending orthogonal to the gate lines, a plurality of liquid crystal elements provided in intersections of the gate lines with the source busses and, as a whole, disposed in matrix form, the liquid crystal devices being connected between a pixel electrode and an opposite electrode connected to a first bus line in a floating condition, a plurality of control circuits provided in relation with the liquid crystal element, the control circuits having: first and second transistors, of which gates are connected to the gate lines respectively, arranged in series between the source busses and the pixel electrode, a third transistor provided between a midpoint node of the first and second transistors and a second bus line to serve as a switch, the second bus line being identical in potential to the first bus line and being electrically isolated from the first bus line, and a fourth transistor connected in parallel with the liquid crystal elements between the pixel electrode and the opposite electrode to detect drain voltage.

Active matrix liquid crystal display device having a flicker eliminating circuit

An inclination sensor includes a container in which an electrolyte liquid and a gas bubble are sealed. The container has a top member with a concave surface having a radius of curvature in a first direction larger than a radius of curvature in a second direction, perpendicular to the first direction. The concave surface is provided with two electrodes that are aligned in the first direction. An inclination of an object is measured by mounting the inclination sensor to the object and electrically detecting the position of the bubble as it contacts the concave surface, by passing a current through the liquid.

A forceps includes a pair of grip pieces which are pivotally supported about a first fulcrum to be mutually openable and closable. A pair of tip-end forceps pieces are pivotally supported about a second fulcrum to be mutually openable and closable. The second fulcrum is separated from the first fulcrum. An operation transferring member transfers opening and closing operation of the grip pieces about the first fulcrum to opening and closing operations of the tip-end forceps pieces about the second fulcrum.

In a laser scanning system employed in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus there are provided a polygon mirror moveably driven in order to enable a laser beam to repeatedly scan a predetermined range and a mirror for reflecting the scanning laser beam to a photoconductive drum in a casing. The casing is separated by a heat insulating member in order to prevent circulation of air therein. Further, a covering member is arranged around the polygon mirror, so as to restrict the occurrence of air flow in the casing due to the movement of the polygon mirror.

A bone prosthetic material composed of calcium phosphate group granules which have open cells with an average pore size of 0.01-(10 .mu.m).sup.2 over a surface density of at least one per 10 .mu.m.sup.2. A sintered apatite body obtained by molding and sintering an apatite powder, Ca.sub.5 (PO.sub.4).sub.3 OH, containing 0.01 to 20% by weight of (Ca,Mg).sub.3 (PO.sub.4).sub.2. The sintered apatite body has high mechanical strength and good affinity with living tissues and cells, and is suitable as medical implant materials such as prosthetic teeth or bones.
