A microscope system comprises a microscope body, a stage configured to place a slide as an observation target and move in an X direction and a Y direction. The microscope system changes an arrangement of the placed slide with respect to the stage so as to cause a direction indicated by a mark provided on the slide placed on the stage to align with one of the X direction and the Y direction of the stage.

Microscope system, control method, and program

A microscope system includes a microscope body, an XY stage mounted on the microscope body and including a stage configured to place a slide as an observation target and move in an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction perpendicular to each other, and an XY two-dimensional scale plate fixed to the stage. The XY two-dimensional scale plate is provided with a first mark that provides axis information in the X-axis direction throughout a movable range of the stage in the Y-axis direction and a second mark that provides axis information in the Y-axis direction throughout a movable range of the stage in the X-axis direction, which are used to recognize X- and Y-coordinates of the stage.

Microscope system

A microscope system comprises a microscope body, an image sensor mounted on the microscope body, and a stage that moves in an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction, and places a slide as an observation object. The stage includes a mark used to indicate a stage reference position. The microscope system obtains positions of the stage in the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction, and detects the stage reference position indicated by a mark provided on the stage and a slide reference position indicated by a mark provided on a slide placed on the stage. The microscope system manages the position of the stage by coordinates based on the slide reference position if the slide reference position is detected, and manages the position of the stage by coordinates based on the stage reference position if the slide reference position is not detected.

Microscope system and control method thereof

A gear mechanism, including: a first gear; and a second gear. The first gear and the second gear are arranged at an inclination angle to form a first meshing region and a second meshing region. Multiple tooth tip portions of the first gear and multiple tooth tip portions of the second gear are each formed to be held in contact with each other at one point in the first meshing region. Multiple recessed portions of the first gear and multiple recessed portions of the second gear are each formed to conform to a passing region extending along movement of one of the multiple mating tooth tip portions at the time of moving in the second meshing region.

Projection-type display apparatus

A coordinate input apparatus has a generally rectangular, flat coordinate input area and a set of at least first and second detectors for detecting arrival/non-arrival of light from an object to be detected present at any position in the coordinate input area. Coordinates indicating the position are output on the basis of outputs from the first and second detectors. The first and second detectors are placed at positions where coordinate resolution in the vicinity of a point, within the coordinate input area, nearest to the midpoint of a line segment connecting fiducial points of the two detectors is substantially equal to coordinate resolution in the vicinity of a point, within the coordinate input area, farthest from the midpoint.

Coordinate input apparatus

The invention aims to provide a coordinate input apparatus having high detection reliability and high efficiency and to control the influence of ambient light using a simple structure. The apparatus detects a light spot flashing on and off in a predetermined cycle and incident at a desired position on a coordinate input screen, and includes a detection device having photoelectric conversion elements corresponding to N pixels for detecting a light spot coordinate. The difference between signals from photoelectric elements in light emission state and in light non-emission state at each N pixel is found, and the smaller of the difference signals of the m-th pixel having the maximum difference signal is set as a threshold value. Effective pixels are identified based on the threshold value, and the coordinate is calculated by using the difference data of the selected effective pixels.

Position information input apparatus and method

A device has a plurality of linear sensors which are arranged for at least one coordinate axis and detect the beam spot. The levels of detected data are measured by a sensor controller, and the measured levels are compared. Based on the comparison result, the detection result of one of the plurality of linear sensors is selected. A coordinate computation unit outputs a coordinate value corresponding to the beam spot on the basis of the selected detection result. The light-receiving areas of the linear sensors have an overlapping portion.

Coordinate input device and its control method, and computer readable memory

A device has a projection type image display unit which has a projection lens and generates a coordinate input screen, and linear sensors for sensing an image of a beam spot, and computes a coordinate value corresponding to the beam spot on the basis of information obtained by the projection type image display unit and the output signals from the linear sensors. This beam spot is generated by irradiating the predetermined position on the coordinate input screen with light coming from a pointing tool, or corresponds to a light-emitting portion provided to the distal end of the pointing tool located near the coordinate input screen.

A device has a light-receiving element for receiving light coming from a pointing tool, and a plurality of linear sensors for sensing a beam spot. A controller discriminates if a first signal output from the light-receiving element and a second signal output from the linear sensors are synchronized. A coordinate computation unit outputs a coordinate value corresponding to the beam spot on the basis of the discrimination result.

A plurality of linear sensors ( X X Y Y ) sense a beam spot and the results of sensing the beam spot are corrected. The corrected items of data are concatenated and coordinates corresponding to the beam spot are calculated by a coordinate calculation unit ( ) based upon the concatenated data. Light-receptive areas of the linear sensors ( X X Y Y ) have mutually overlapping portions.

Coordinate input apparatus and method, and computer-readable memory therefor

A first cylindrical lens and a first linear sensor are constructed on the X axis, a second cylindrical lens and a second linear sensor are constructed on the Y axis, the X and Y axes are orthogonal, and the image width of a beam spot formed by each of the first and second cylindrical lenses is larger than each pixel of the corresponding first and second linear sensors.
