A vehicle seat includes a seat body having a seat back, a pair of left and right legs, a headrest coupled to the seat back at above the seat back through the pair of legs, load detecting means provided on the seat back and having a movable part that displaces in a predetermined direction upon undergoing a load from the front of the seat back; a first interacting member mechanically coupled to one leg of the pair and to the movable part of the load detecting means, to move one leg of the pair in conjunction with a displacement of the movable part caused upon undergoing the load, thereby displacing the headrest frontward, and a second interacting member mechanically coupled to the other leg of the pair and to the first interacting member, to move the other leg of the pair in conjunction with a movement of the first interacting member caused upon moving the one leg of the pair, thereby displacing the headrest frontward.

Vehicle seat

A seat having a collision stopper () activated in a short time period in collision. The seat is constituted of a supporting link (), a stopper link (), a recess/ridge surface (), a stopper (), and urging means (). The supporting link () is installed at its upper portion to the floor side and at its lower portion to the seat cushion side, supporting a seat cushion, and adjusts the height of the seat cushion by inclination in the forward and backward directions in the vertical plane. The stopper link () is attached at its base end section to the floor side such that a rotation end section is rotatable in the forward and backward directions in a vertical plane. The stopper link () has, on its rotation end section side, a projection () projecting sideward. The recess/ridge surface () is provided on the supporting link () side, extending in the direction intersecting the movement path of the projection. When engages with the projection upon receiving a collision load in an assumed direction, the recess/ridge surface () inhibits further rotation of the supporting link () by cooperating with the projection. The stopper () comes in contact with the projection at a position where the projection does not engages the recess/ridge surface (), inhibiting the projection from further separating from the recess/ridge surface (). The urging means () urges the stopper link () in the direction where the projection is in contact with the stopper.

Seat

A headrest device includes a headrest provided over a seatback of a seat, a sliding means for slidably adjusting the seat in back and forth directions, a position-adjusting means for adjusting position of the headrest, and a connecting mechanism connecting the sliding means and the position-adjusting means. The connecting mechanism operates the position-adjusting means in conjunction with operation of the sliding means. The connecting mechanism moves in a first direction when the sliding means moves forward, and the connecting mechanism moves in a second direction when the sliding means moves backward.

Headrest device

A vehicle seat structure comprises: a connecting member which connects an outer side reclining apparatus in a widthwise direction of a vehicle and an inner side reclining apparatus in the widthwise direction of the vehicle to be interlocked with one another; a reinforcing member which is tubular and is provided adjacent to the connecting member, one end portion of the reinforcing member being fixed to a structural member of the outer side reclining apparatus and another end portion of the reinforcing member being fixed to a structural member of the inner side reclining apparatus; and deformation direction control apparatus for deforming the reinforcing member in a direction other than a direction in which a seating space of a vehicle occupant becomes narrower, when a side collision load is larger than a buckling load of the reinforcing member.

Vehicle seat structure

A device for adjusting the elevational position of a head rest of a seat for a vehicle having a stay formed with a plurality of grooves along an elevational direction and stood on a seat back of the seat, and a locking mechanism mounted in the shell of the head rest for engaging or disengaging the grooves of the stay by means of the lateral movements of the head rest comprising said stay having right and left vertical rods integrally coupled at the upper poritons thereof with the stay, a bracket member provided in the shell and coupled with the two vertical rods of the stay through two cylindrical supporting members inserted therethrough with the two vertical rods of the stay, a rod penetrated laterally through the shell and the bracket member to be secured to the shell but movably engaged with the bracket member in such a manner that the shell is urged to either leftward or rightward with respect to the bracket member with a gap formed at one side thereof, the grooves are formed at least one vertical rod of the stay, a locking plate formed in the vicinity of the bracket member and coupled with the rod to be engaged with any of the grooves of the vertical rod of the stay by means of urging, whereby the engaging distance of the locking plate with the groove is equal to or substantially smaller than the gap formed at one side thereof.

Device for adjusting elevational position of head rest

A door for a vehicle which incorporates a loudspeaker has a door trim which is mounted at the innermost side of the door. The door trim has a recess which extends substantially horizontally from the rear end of the door trim and at a position slightly closer to the upper end of the door than the center of the door trim and which terminates at a position slightly closer to the front end of the door than the center of the door trim. An upper raised portion is defined by a projection on the upper side of the recess, while an armrest portion is defined by a projection on the lower side of the recess. A door grip is provided at the front terminating position of the recess. The loudspeaker is disposed between the upper raised portion and the armrest portion in terms of the vertical direction of the door and adjacent to the front end of the door grip in terms of the longitudinal direction of the door so that the door grip does not interfere with a shoulder portion for reinforcing the inner panel of the door.

Door for vehicle which incorporates loudspeaker

A vehicle support structure for a detachable roof includes a roof panel extends along an exterior portion of the vehicle and includes a recessed frame having an upper support surface. A sealing member is positioned along the upper support surface for providing weather sealing along the roof panel and the detachable roof when the detachable roof is closed. A liner extends beneath the roof panel for lining at least a portion of the interior of the vehicle. The liner has a support base spaced from the roof panel, as well as at least one lining pad having an end section secured along the recessed frame. An inner panel member is aligned with at least a portion of the support base and extends between the support base and the recessed frame. A clamping member is secured to the inner panel member and contacts the end section for resiliently retaining the end section in engagement with the recessed frame. The clamping member includes an irregularly-shaped plate, together with a screw member, for securing the plate to the inner panel member. The plate configuration defines an expanded channel between the plate and the recessed frame for receiving the end section and for securely holding the end section along the recessed frame.
