The present invention relates to a method for determining the origin of glutamic acid in a sample and, in a broader sense, relates to a method for determining the origin of an amino acid. The present invention makes it possible to measure the stable isotope ratio, with a considerably higher accuracy than that of conventional methods, by measuring the &#x3b4;13C of glutamic acid (amino acid) by elemental analysis-stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry (EA-IRMS) and measuring the &#x3b4;15N by gas chromatography-stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry (GC-IRMS). In addition, the present invention makes it possible to determine the origin of glutamic acid (amino acid) by comparing the stable isotope ratio of the glutamic acid (amino acid) whose origin is unclear with the stable isotope ratio of glutamic acid (amino acid) whose origin is clear.

Method for determining origin of amino acid

A power supply apparatus includes first and second spaced-apart, substantially parallel panels, and a chassis disposed in substantially perpendicular to and between the first and second panels. Opposite edges of the chassis are coupled to the respective ones of the first and second panels to thereby partition the space between the first and second panels into upper and lower regions. A power supply circuit includes heat-generating electric components disposed in the lower region, and non-heat-generating components disposed in the upper region. The chassis has an opening therein and a heat sink is mounted to close the opening in the chassis. A semiconductor module of the power supply circuit is mounted on the surface facing to the upper region of the heat sink.

Power supply apparatus

A power supply apparatus comprises a housing having a panel. A power supply circuit is disposed in the housing. The power supply circuit supplies power to a load. A control circuit controls the operation of the power supply circuit in accordance with control information. The control circuit is formed on a printed circuit board mounted on the panel in the housing. The printed circuit board is provided with a control which can be operated from outside the housing. The control provides the control information in response to operation thereof from outside the panel.
