A dispenser used for discharging a mixture of gas and a paste material includes: a nozzle part provided in a tip end part of a body and having a tip end opening through which the mixture is discharged; a flow path extending from a mixture introduction part to the tip end opening through a hollow space of the nozzle part; a needle part movable in the flow path of the nozzle part to open and close the flow path; a driving part that drives the needle part; and a stopper part that limits an operation range of the needle part. The nozzle part has a tapered section in which an inside diameter of the flow path of the nozzle part decreases toward the tip end opening. Also provided is a stopper position adjusting part that adjusts a stop position defined by the stopper part.

Dispenser and nozzle for discharging mixture of gas and paste material and mechanical foaming device

An electroconductive roller including an electroconductive cellular material layer, comprised of a polyurethane composition, which has an average foamed cell diameter not more than 100 &#x3bc;m and a variation &#x394;D of the foamed cell diameter not more than 50 &#x3bc;m. The electroconductive roller has a hardness variation &#x394;Hs not more than 8 degrees and a circumferential non-uniformity index R/Rin an electric resistance thereof not more than 1.3. The electroconductive cellular material layer is made of a thermosetting one-part polyurethane composition. And the polyurethane composition is cured instantly at a temperature not less than a thermosetting critical temperature for curing thereof, after it is foamed by a mechanical foaming method.

Electroconductive roller

A piston pump has a piston and cylinder. A gas is supplied into the cylinder during and/or after a suction stroke of the piston pump, and a high-viscosity material is supplied into the cylinder after the suction stroke. A discharge stroke of the piston pump is effected after completion of supply of the high-viscosity material to thereby discharge the gas and high-viscosity material into a pipe. Use is made of piston pumpsA andB, each including a cylinder and a piston which reciprocally moves within the cylinder to effect the suction stroke and discharge stroke, and a membrane gas generatorto which compressed air is supplied to generate a gas. A low-pressure gas generated by the membrane gas generatoris supplied into each piston pump and the high-viscosity material is introduced into the gas.

Method and apparatus for mixing a high-viscosity material into a gas

A hollow bead of high quality is applied and molded into a shape corresponding to and following a shape of an applying position onto which the bead is to be applied. A bead-molding apparatus includes a discharging device of a double nozzle structure comprised of an inner nozzle and an outer nozzle, a highly viscous material feed unit for feeding a highly viscous material that is fluid in a form of a stream in a high speed flow region and can retain a shape into which it is applied and molded in a low speed flow region, a manipulator disposed so as to transfer the discharging device mounted thereon to a desired position, and a controller for controlling overall operations of the apparatus. The discharging device is controlled so as to move along the applying position of a member while feeding gases thereto from the inner nozzle and discharging the highly viscous material thereto from the outer nozzle.

Method and apparatus for molding bead

A speaker edge is made of a thermosetting composition consisting of a polyurethane prepolymer and an inactivated solid polyamine as a latent hardener. A gas is dispersed in the thermosetting composition, prior to feed into a mold, so that it can foam and solidify to give the speaker edge. In a method of making the speaker edge, the composition will be injected into a female mold segment heated below the critical thermosetting temperature, foaming the composition. Then placed in the female segment is a male segment heated above the critical temperature, causing the ingredients to react with each other to solidify in the mold. An apparatus for making the speaker edge from the composition has: a device for intake of a gas, another device for injecting the composition into the gas, another device for mechanically dispersing the gas throughout the composition, still another device for injection of this gas-containing composition into a female mold segment, a further device for placing a male segment in the female segment, and a still further device for solidifying the composition, while foaming it.

A piston pump has a piston and cylinder, the piston being adapted to reciprocally move within the cylinder to effect a suction stroke and discharge stroke. A gas is supplied into the cylinder during and/or after the suction stroke of the piston pump, and a high-viscosity material is supplied into the cylinder after the suction stroke. A discharge stroke of the piston pump is effected after completion of supply of the high-viscosity material in the cylinder to thereby discharge the gas and high-viscosity material into a pipe. A first step introduces a high-viscosity material into a gas, a second step pressurizes, by a pump, a combination of the high-viscosity material and the gas transferred from the first step, a third step passes the combination in a pressurized state through a dispersing pipe to disperse the gas into the high-viscosity material to produce a mixture, and a fourth step discharges the mixture to effect foaming. Use is made of piston pumps A and B, each including a cylinder and a piston which reciprocally moves within the cylinder to effect a suction stroke and discharge stroke, and a membrane gas generator to which compressed air is supplied to generate a gas. A low-pressure gas generated by the membrane gas generator is supplied into each piston pump and the high-viscosity material is introduced into the gas.

A boiler scale collecting device enables collecting and recovery of most boiler scale particulates (p) in a steam flow line (f) in a steam pipe (,) extending from a power generation steam boiler to an inlet (,&prime;) of a power generation steam turbine (,). The steam pipe (,), of constant inner diameter (d), extends from the boiler side to the inlet (,&prime;) of the steam turbine (,), and turns at direction turning portion (e) from a vertical steam pipe (,&prime;) to a lateral steam pipe (,&Prime;) near the inlet (,&Prime;) of the steam turbine (,). The vertical steam pipe (,&prime;) is elongated beyond the direction turning portion (e) to form an elongated portion (,) having a lower end (,). The direction turning portion (e), including the vertical steam pipe (,&prime;) and the lateral steam pipe (,&Prime;), and the elongated portion (,) are made in an integral unit of forged steel.

Boiler scale collecting device before steam turbine

Low-pressure gas is mixed in a viscous material. The flow of the gas can be easily controlled so that the dispersion of the mixing ratio of the viscous material to the gas may be confined within a small tolerance and fine bubbles may be uniformly distributed in the interior of the viscous material. The gas is mixed in the viscous material by a first pump, from which a mixture of the gas and the viscous material is delivered. Pressure is applied to the mixture by a second pump. The gas is distributed in the interior of the viscous material by allowing the mixture under pressure to pass through a conduit assembly. The viscous material is foamed when the mixture is discharged from a nozzle through a discharge pipe.

Apparatus for foaming a viscous material

The invention resides in mixing low-pressure gas in a viscous material. The flow of the gas can be easily controlled so that the dispersion of the mixing ratio of the viscous material to the gas may be confined within a small tolerance and fine bubbles may be uniformly distributed in the interior of the viscous material. The gas is mixed in the viscous material by means of a first pump 42, from which a mixture of the gas and the viscous material is delivered. Pressure is applied to the mixture by means of a second pump 51. The gas is distributed in the interior of the viscous material by allowing the mixture under pressure to pass through a conduit assembly 61. The viscous material is foamed when the mixture is discharged from a nozzle 73 through a discharge pipe 71.

Method of and apparatus for foaming a viscous material

A reactive hot-melt elastic sealant composition which comprises as the main components (A) a polyurethane prepolymer which is prepared by reacting a polyether polyol having a hydroxyl group at the terminus and having a weight average molecular weight of 6,000 to 40,000 and an excess amount of a polyisocyanate compound, and (B) a themoplastic urethane multi-block copolymer resin, in admixture with conventional additives, which has excellent durability, cold resistance, initial adhesive force and maintenance of adhesive force for a long period of time and is useful particularly for adhesive seal of parts in automobiles.

Reactive hot-melt elastic sealant composition

In a one-part (one-pack) moisture-curing urethane adhesive comprising a urethane prepolymer having isocyanate groups (NCO) at the terminus, said urethane prepolymer being a reaction product of a polyol and an excess amount of a polyisocyanate, the improvement which comprises adding 0.01 to 5% by weight of a gelling agent based on the whole amount of the adhesive, and optionally adding a thermoplastic urethane multi-block copolymer resin and a thixotropic agent selected from the group consisting of a hydrophilic colloidal silica and a polysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene copolymer. The adhesive of the present invention can obviate float or slippage of glass in the adhesive application of window glass of automobiles.

One-part moisture-curing orethane adhesive

A moisture-curing hot-melt adhesive comprises (A) a urethane prepolymer comprising hard and soft segment moieties and having an isocyanate group at the terminus which is prepared by reacting stepwise a polyol having a molecular weight of 1,000 to 8,000 and a thermoplastic saturated polyester polyol having a molecular weight of 1,000 to 6,000, a melting point of 50.degree. C. or higher and a glass transition temperature of 10.degree. C. or higher with an diisocyanate compound in a overall NCO/OH ratio of 1.6 to 3.0, and (B) a urethane prepolymer comprising a soft segment moiety and having an isocyanate group at the terminus which is prepared by reacting a polyol having a molecular weight of not more than 8,000 with a diisocyanate compound in an NCO/OH ratio of 1.6 to 3.0, said component (A) and component (B) being mixed in a ratio of 10:90 to 90:10 by weight. Said adhesive has excellent adhesion and pressure-sensitive adhesion and initial properties and is suitable for adhering various parts in automobile industry and construction industry.

Moisture-curing hot-melt adhesive

A moisture-curing hot-melt sealant which comprises a polyurethane prepolymer which is prepared by reacting (a) a polyol component comprising a mixture of a thermoplastic saturated polyester polyol having a hydroxyl group at the terminus and having a molecular weight of 8,000 to 25,000 and a thermoplastic or liquid polyol having a hydroxyl group at the terminus and having a molecular weight of not more than 5,000 which is compatible with the thermoplastic saturated polyester polyol in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:8 by mole, and (b) a polyisocyanate compound having two or more isocyanate groups in the molecule thereof in an equivalent ratio of isocyanate group/hydroxyl group of 1.4 to 3 in admixture with the conventional additives. Said sealant has excellent heat resistance and initial properties and is suitable for adhering, for example, window glass of automobiles, particularly in cold district.

Moisture-curing hot-melt sealant

A moisture-curable hot-melt adhesive composition comprising a reaction product obtainable by reacting (A) a mixture of (a) a high molecular weight thermoplastic polyester component predominantly composed of a hydroxy-terminated high molecular weight polyester containing a hydrocarbon chain with a molecular weight of 600 to 6,000 and having a molecular weight of 8,000 to 25,000 and (b) a low molecular weight polyol having a molecular weight of not more than 5,000 with (B) a polyisocyanate compound in an NCO/OH ratio of 1.4 through 3. This moisture-curable hot-melt adhesive composition is useful for the adhesion at a low temperature, and shows an excellent heat resistance and initial physical properties.
