An air discharge device includes a duct that defines a flow passage through which a working air flow to be discharged passes, and a hole forming member defining an air discharge hole as an outlet of the working air flow. The hole forming member has a vortex generation structure configured to generate an auxiliary vortex having a vortex characteristic including a vortex rotation direction and a vortex axis direction. The vortex characteristic of the auxiliary vortex is different from that of a lateral vortex generated by the working air flow at a downstream side of the air discharge hole. The vortex generation structure is configured in the hole forming member so that the auxiliary vortex collides with the lateral vortex in a state where at least one of the vortex rotation direction and the vortex axial direction of the vortex characteristic is different from that of the lateral vortex.

Air discharge device

An air discharge device includes an air discharge unit for discharging an air flow. The air discharge unit includes at least one main hole from which an air flow is blown out as a working air flow, and a separation structure configured to separate a central portion of a thickness of a velocity boundary layer of the working air flow from a center line of the main hole at a downstream side of the main hole.

The air discharge device includes a duct defining: a main flow path through which an air flow passes; and a main hole opened in a flat shape to discharge the air flow as a working air flow toward a downstream from the main flow path. A throttle portion is provided in the duct to reduce a flow path height of the main flow path from an upstream of the air flow toward a downstream of the air flow. A plurality of partitions are arranged to divide the main flow path in a major direction into a pair of side flow paths and at least one center flow path. The plurality of partitions are disposed in the duct such that a flow path width of the center flow path is reduced from the upstream of the air flow toward the downstream of the air flow.

An air discharge device is configured to discharge an air flow. The air discharge device includes a main hole for discharging an air flow as a working air flow, an auxiliary hole provided around the main hole to discharge a support air flow, and a vortex suppression structure configured to suppress development of vortices generated in a velocity boundary layer of the working air flow at a downstream side of an outlet of the main hole. This vortex suppression structure is configured to make a central portion of the thickness of the velocity boundary layer of the working air flow at the downstream side of the outlet of the main hole to be closer to a mainstream of the support air flow, at the downstream side of the outlet of the main hole.

A centrifugal blower includes a rotation shaft, an impeller, a casing. The impeller includes a plurality of blades and a side panel. The casing accommodates the impeller and includes an air intake portion positioned adjacent to the side panel. The air intake portion includes a downstream end portion and an inner wall surface. The side panel includes an upstream end portion and an inner panel surface that is an inner surface of the side panel. The downstream end portion and the upstream end portion face each other across a space in an angular range. A difference between a smallest inner radius of the inner wall surface of the air intake portion and a smallest inner radius of the inner panel surface is smaller than or equal to a thickness of the side panel in the angular range.

Centrifugal blower

A centrifugal blower provided with a spiral shaped scroll chamber where a bottom part of the scroll chamber gradually expands downward in the axial direction of the fan well along with expansion of the spiral and where a flow area gradually expands toward an air outlet from a spiral start part of the casing, the centrifugal blower having an initial slant angle &#x3b8;at the spiral start part of the bottom part of the scroll chamber of a range of angle of 5.2&#xb0; to 27.5&#xb0; or setting a backflow prevention rib at the fan outlet.

A centrifugal multiblade fan includes a rotatable shaft, blades, a side shroud, and a main shroud. A front edge has a shape inclined radially outward in a direction from the main shroud toward the side shroud. When viewed from an axial direction, a corner part on a positive pressure surface-side is located on a tangential line of a positive pressure surface reference curve at a positive pressure surface side reference corner part, and when viewed from the axial direction, a curvature radius of a negative pressure surface becomes larger in a direction from the side shroud toward the main shroud.

Centrifugal multiblade fan

A blower unit includes a rotation shaft, a centrifugal fan and a casing. The centrifugal fan has blades arranged around the rotation shaft. The casing has a wall part defining an opening. The ring part has a ring shape having a center coinciding with an axis of the rotation shaft. The ring part is provided at first axial ends of the blades and support the blades. The ring part includes an arcuate wall curved in a radially inward of the centrifugal fan. The centrifugal fan is housed in the casing such that the arcuate wall of the ring part is located radially inside of the opening of the wall part.

Blower unit

A centrifugal fan includes a plurality of blades, a first wall disposed at first axial ends of the blades, and a second wall disposed at second axial ends of the blades and having a shaft portion at a center. At least one of the first wall and the second wall has a cutout portion configured to control balance.

Centrifugal fan and blower having the same

A centrifugal multiblade fan according to the present invention sucks air from one end side of an axial direction of a rotation axis to a radial inside, and blows the air to a radial outside. The centrifugal multiblade fan includes a plurality of blades located around the rotation axis. Each blade has a leading edge positioned at the radial inside, and a trailing edge positioned at a radial outside. The leading edge of each blade has an edge shape with a radius of curvature of 0.2 mm or less, for example.

A centrifugal blower having a fan including a blade. A scroll casing houses the fan and has a first axial wall portion, a second axial wall portion, and a side wall extending between the first and second axial wall portions. The scroll casing includes a suction port in the first axial wall portion. The scroll casing also defines a scroll start portion and a scroll finish portion. The scroll casing has a scroll radius measured transverse to the rotation axis that changes from the scroll start portion to the scroll finish portion. Also, a maximum radius of the scroll radius is closer to the second axial wall portion than the first axial wall portion.

Each of blades of a multi-blade centrifugal blower is provided with a taper portion, which is arranged at an inside periphery at least at the side of one rotation-shaft-direction end of the blade and tapers from the side of other rotation-shaft-direction end of the blade toward the side of the one rotation-shaft-direction end. The taper portion is positioned at a rotation-direction front side with respect to a back portion disposed at the side of the other rotation-shaft-direction end of the blade. Each of inlet angles throughout the taper portion is set in a range from 55&#xb0; to 74&#xb0;. Therefore, air flowing speed at an outlet of an impeller wheel is uniformed throughout the blade width. Work capacity and efficiency of the impeller wheel are increased, while noise is reduced.

Multi-blade centrifugal blower

In a predetermined range from a nose portion toward a scroll finish side in a scroll casing of a centrifugal blower, a first clearance dimension on a side of a suction port between an outer periphery of a centrifugal fan and a side plate of the scroll casing is set smaller than a second clearance dimension on a side opposite to the suction port between the outer periphery of the centrifugal fan and the side plate of the scroll casing. In addition, in the vicinity of the nose portion, a first wall part of the scroll casing on the side of the suction port protrudes toward a scroll finish side, from a second wall part of the scroll casing on the side opposite to the suction port.

Centrifugal blower having noise-reduction structure

A centrifugal ventilator fan, which has improved fan performance and lower noise. A first outlet angle, on an upstream end of the fan, is less than a second outlet angle. Additionally, the first outlet angle is equal to zero degrees or greater and five degrees or less, while the second outlet angle is equal to thirty degrees or greater and forty five degrees or less. Furthermore, a first inlet angle, on an upstream end, is greater than a second inlet angle, on the opposite end. The first inlet angle is equal to sixty-five degrees or greater and ninety degrees or less, and the second inlet angle is equal to fifty-five degrees or more and seventy-five degrees or less.
