An air conditioner for an automobile includes a foot door () and a mixing area. The foot door has a partition wall, and is movable at least between an advanced position where the partition wall reaches a state of blocking an air flow from a merging area to the downstream side in an air passage, and a retreated position where the partition wall retreats from the advanced position in the air passage. The mixing area is provided in the air passage while the partition wall is located in the advanced position, and is designed to cause the air flowing from a cold air passage and the air flowing from a hot air passage into the merging area to mix up more by using the partition wall to block the air flowing from the merging area to the downstream side. Thus, the air conditioner is designed to cause the air to flow into the discharge passage systems via the mixing area.

Air conditioner for automobile

An automotive air conditioner includes an air-conditioning case in which air passageways having a cold air path via an evaporator, a warm air path via a heater core, and a plurality of discharge path systems communicating with outlets, respectively, are formed. An air mix door distributes cold air and warm air by an opening degree to each of the discharge path systems via a junction region of the cold air and the warm air, and a rotary door having a cross wall is rotatably disposed in the junction region of the cold air and the warm air and blocks air flow from the junction region to the downstream side by the cross wall in an advanced position. The rotary door and the air mix door include an overlap layout which uses a door space inside the cross wall of the rotary door in the advanced position as an opening and closing operation space of the air mix door.

Automotive air conditioner

An air conditioning unit includes an air conditioning casing formed with an inlet and an outlet. The air conditioning casing allows air to flow in the air conditioning casing from the inlet to the outlet. The conditioning unit also includes an evaporator arranged in the air conditioning casing and having substantially a U-shape and a U-Shaped outer air flow path provided on an outer side of the U-shaped evaporator in the air conditioning casing. An inner air flow path is provided on an inner side of the U-shaped evaporator in the air conditioning casing and a heater core is arranged in the air conditioning casing.

Air conditioning unit and air conditioning system for a vehicle

A vehicular air conditioning system of the present invention comprises an air conditioning unit which forms an air flow, a first ventthrough which the air flow formed by the air conditioning unit is blown out toward a passenger, a second vent through which the air flow formed by the air conditioning unit is blown out in an upper direction of the vehicle, an air flow blowout switching unit which switches between blowout from the first vent, and blowout from the second vent at predetermined intervals. The air flow blowout switching unit includes a door unit which closes one of the first and the second vents and opens the other vent, and a control unit which controls the closed state and the opened state of the door unit.

Vehicular air conditioning system

In an automotive air conditioner, there is provided an air guide arrangement for achieving an effective mixing between cooled air from an evaporator and warmed air from a heater under a bi-level mode. The air guide arrangement is placed in the vicinity of an outlet opening of a warmed air passage extending from the heater. The air guide arrangement forces a warmed air from the outlet opening of the warmed air passage to effectively mix with a cooled air which flows in a direction from the evaporator toward a ventilation air outlet opening.

A heating, ventilation and air conditioning system including a casing with a vent outlet, a blower chamber within the casing, a wall cooperating with the casing to form a descending air passage permitting a downward flow of air discharged from the blower chamber and an ascending air passage permitting an upward flow of air passing through the descending air passage toward the vent outlet. A heating heat-exchanger is substantially horizontally disposed within the ascending air passage and arranged adjacent to a recessed portion of the wall and at least partially overlapping in the vertical direction with a cooling heat-exchanger disposed between the blower chamber and the heating heat-exchanger. A bypass air passage bypassing the heating heat-exchanger is substantially linearly aligned with the vent outlet via the ascending air passage. A foot vent passage is disposed above the heating heat-exchanger and between the blower chamber and the ascending air passage.

Compact heating, ventilation and air conditioning system for automobiles

A mix door ( ) is arranged in air passages ( ) of an automotive air conditioning device. The mix door ( ) is arranged to extend in a direction to shut an air flow blown from the upstream air passage ( ) and swelled in a downstream direction with a predetermined radius of curvature. The door ( ) is guided by arcuate cam grooves ( ) and driven upward and downward to achieve open/close operation with the aid of a sliding mechanism (M). Compact construction, reduction in air flow resistance, smoothed handling, high sealing and high temperature controlling are achieved.

Door mechanism of automotive air conditioning device

A casing defines therein an air intake opening, an evaporator chamber, a full-passage, a bypass-passage and an air-mix chamber. A housing having a downwardly curved upper wall is incorporated with the casing to cover the air-mix chamber. An air blow is provided which forces air to enter the evaporator chamber from the air intake opening. An air-mix door is movably installed in the casing to selectively open and close the full-passage and the bypass-passage. An evaporator is installed in the evaporator chamber, and a heater core is installed in the full-passage. The downwardly curved upper wall is formed with first, second and third openings which are communicated with given portions of a passenger room of the vehicle respectively. A slide door assembly is mounted below the downwardly curved upper wall. The slide door assembly includes two slide doors which are arranged to vary the open area of the first, second and third openings in cooperation with each other.

A centrifugal multiblade blower includes a first counter-flow prevention means that prevents part of air flowing through a scroll chamber from flowing through a first aperture defined between a multiblade fan and a suction-side case plate of a scroll casing back to a suction port, and a second counter-flow prevention means that prevents part of air flowing through the scroll chamber from flowing through a second aperture defined between the multiblade fan and a motor-side case plate of the scroll casing back to the upstream side of the scroll chamber. A length L of the scroll chamber measured in the motor-shaft axial direction is dimensioned to be longer than a length L of the multiblade fan measured in the motor-shaft axial direction. Additionally the scroll chamber is gradually enlarged toward a discharge port of the casing.

Centrifugal multiblade blower

A mix door D, which is arranged in a limited space defined between an upstream air passage in which an evaporator is installed and a downstream air passage in which a heater core is installed, is of a sliding type. By guiding a door proper by using a cam groove, a seal member bonded to the door proper is pressed against a contacting member only when the door proper assumes its close position. Smoothed operation of the door proper is achieved with a compact construction of a unit, and sealing and temperature controlling performance is increased.

An air conditioning unit for a vehicle has a unit case enclosing a blower fan, a cooling heat exchanger (evaporator) and a heating heat exchanger (heater core), and defining therein an air conditioning passage for conveying air from the blower fan through the cooling heat exchanger and the heating heat exchanger, to an upper outlet opening. The air conditioning passage has an upstream passage section extending downward on a first side of the blower fan to convey the air from the blower fan downward, an intermediate passage section extending under the blower fan in a first direction from the first side to a second side of the blower fan, and a downstream passage section extending upward on the second side of the blower fan to the upper outlet opening for directing the air over the blower fan in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, from the second side toward the first side (toward the passenger compartment of the vehicle).

Door mechanism for automobile air conditioner

A heater unit of automotive air conditioning device comprises a case. In the case, there are defined a cool air passage, a hot air passage and an air mix chamber. The cool air passage has an upstream end merged with an air inlet opening of the case and a downstream end merged with the air mix chamber. The hot air passage has an upstream end merged with the upstream end of the cool air passage and a downstream largest area merged with the air mix chamber. The air mix chamber is directly communicated with air outlet openings of the case. A heater core is arranged in the upstream end of the hot air passage. An air mix door is pivotally arranged in the case to vary the flow rate between air directed toward the hot air passage and air directed toward the cool air passage. A shutter door is pivotally arranged in the downstream largest area of the hot air passage. A link mechanism is used for achieving synchronized pivoting movements of the air mix door and the shutter door. The link mechanism has at least first and second conditions. In the first condition, the air mix door assumes a full cool position and the shutter door fully closes the hot air passage, while in the second condition, the air mix door assumes a half-open position other than the full cool and full hot positions and the shutter door fully opens the hot air passage.
