To provide a stopper structure of a sun roof device, in which the sun roof device has a front slider () and a driving slider () attached on a roof panel (), a connecting link () attached to the front slider () and engaging with the driving slider (), and a stopper member () adapted to stop the driving slider (). When the roof panel () performs tilting operation, a first engaging portion () and a second engaging portion () of the connecting link () respectively engage with the a first cam () and a second cam () respectively formed on an upper surface and a lower surface of the stopper member (), so that the movement of the front slider () in both the vehicle longitudinal direction and the vertical direction is restricted.

Stopper structure of sun roof device

The sunroof apparatus has a sunroof panel equipped at an opening of a fixed roof; a tilt mechanism that is provided beneath a side edge of the sunroof panel, and can tilt up the panel around a rotation axis that makes vehicle lateral directions axial directions thereof; and a side cover for shielding the tilt mechanism, seen from a vehicle room side in tilting up the panel, wherein the side cover has a plurality of cover members that overlap each other in the vehicle lateral directions, and each of which front end side is relative-rotation-free coupled each other around a coupling shaft of the cover members, and one of them is fixed at the panel and so that each of them is opened in tilting up the panel.

Sunroof apparatus

A sunroof apparatus for a vehicle includes a sunroof panel, a panel holder, a lip member, a sealing member and a lip for wind noise. The panel holder supports the sunroof panel internally relative to a cabin of the vehicle. The lip member is attached to an end portion of the panel holder. The sealing member is attached to the lip member. The lip for wind noise extends from the lip member towards inside of the cabin. An end portion of the lip for wind noise is adapted to lie closer to the sunroof panel than an end portion of the panel holder.

Sunroof apparatus for a vehicle

The present invention provides a panel seal structure having a seal mounted around the outer circumferential edge of a panel body, such as glass panel, covering an opening formed in a vehicle body. An upper face of the seal is set to be substantially flush with an upper face of the panel body. A lip to be contactable with an edge of the panel body is formed along the upper face of the seal, and the edge of the lip is deformed downward upon contact with the edge of the panel body. Thereby, since the edge of the lip is deformed downward, a dimensional error of the panel body is accommodated for, and the continuity between the upper face of the seal and the upper face of the panel body is enhanced.

Panel sealing structure

In a glass panel arrangement for automotive sun roof systems having a weather strip frame which is disposed substantially flush with the glass panel, a support frame made of metallic material and attached to a lower surface of the glass panel along a peripheral part of the glass panel is provided with an outer extension for supporting a part of the weather strip frame extending away from the edge of the glass panel from below so as to resist the tendency for the weather strip frame to get detached from the outer periphery of the glass panel. Therefore, the weather strip frame can be made of plastic material which has a relatively low affinity with the glass panel. In particular, if the outer extension is provided with an upwardly directed flange, not only the retaining force of the outer extension is improved but also the bending rigidity of the outer extension is improved.

Glass panel arrangement for automotive sun roof systems

There is provided a weather strip for use on a sunroof which can be firmly built in a seal holder even if there occur variations in molding dimensions. The weather strip comprises a thicker base part which is engaged in a built-in recess of the seal holder fixed to a roof glass, a hollow seal part which elastically contacts a roof panel, and a thinner barrel part which is integrally formed between the thicker base part and the hollow seal part and is clamped by an upper protrusion part and a lower protrusion part which are formed in the built-in recess to protrude therein, wherein a continuous angle between an upper surface of the thinner barrel part and the hollow seal part and that between a lower surface of the thinner barrel part and the hollow seal part are set 90&deg; respectively, and an ascent slope is formed on the upper surface of the thinner barrel part and ascends aslant from the hollow seal part toward the thicker base part, and a descent slope is formed on the lower surface of the thinner barrel part and descends aslant from the hollow seal part toward the thicker base part.

Weather strip for use on a sunroof

In an automotive sunroof system which comprises a fixed roof panel defining a roof opening, an inner frame defining guide rails and drain grooves, a moveable panel guided along said guide rails via sliders and a slide and tilt mechanism for effecting a slide and tilt motion of the moveable pane, a terminal member is attached to each front corner of the inner frame to serve several purposes such as a closure member for the guide rail, a stopper for the forward travel of one of the sliders, a member for retaining the fore-and-aft movement of the moveable panel, and a support for a wind deflector device.

Vehicle sunroof system

There is provided a weather strip for use on a sunroof capable of preventing squeak noises being generated in advance between a hollow seal part and a roof panel during traveling of a car by allowing the hollow seal part to satisfactorily follow vibrations of the roof panel. The weather strip ensures sealing property between a roof glass mounted on the sunroof of a car and a roof panel and comprises a built-in base part attached to the roof glass, and a hollow seal part composed of continuous ends integrally formed with the built-in base part and having substantially a circular cross section, a tip end contact part elastically contacting the roof panel, wherein thicker parts protruding inward and being continuous with the built-in base part are formed on the continuous ends of the hollow seal part and protrusions protruding inward are formed on substantially middle parts between the continuous ends and the tip end contact part.

A sunroof apparatus with a sliding panel freely opening and closing an opening of a roof in a vehicle, a movable drain arranged below a rear end in the panel and moving forward and rearward interlocking with a forward and rearward movement of the panel, and a sunshade covering a lower side of the sliding panel and freely opening and closing. A holding means for the sunshade is constructed by forming sliding grooves in frames in both sides extending along a longitudinal direction in a side of a passenger room of the opening, forming a notch at a predetermined position of the groove L fitting front and rear sliders to which the sunshade is mounted, and integrally forming an engagement piece made of elastic member and fitted to the notch in the rear slider. Further, a position regulating means, at the time of manually closing the sunshade in a state in which the panel is half open or fully open and at the time of manually opening the sunshade in a closed state of the panel, is constructed by integrally forming a stopper protruding to an upper side of the groove L in a slider fitted to the groove L to which the movable drain is mounted.

Sunroof apparatus for vehicle

In an automotive sun roof system, each of the front sliders is provided with at least three laterally extending slide shoes including a front inboard slide shoe, a rear inboard slide shoe and a front outboard slide shoe located intermediate between the inboard slide shoes with respect to a fore-and-aft direction, and the guide rail is provided with an inboard side defining an inboard guide slot and an outboard side defining an outboard guide slot adapted to receive the corresponding slide shoes, the outboard side of the guide rail being provided with a front end which is rearwardly offset from that of the inboard side of the guide rail. Thus, the front end of each guide rail is advanced as much as possible without increasing the exposure of such parts to the moisture that may drip from the fixed roof panel and/or moveable panel by taking into account the rounded shape of the opening in the fixed roof panel. Therefore, the position of the front sliders for the moveable panel can be advanced by a corresponding degree, and the overhang of the moveable panel from the front sliders can be minimized.
