A storage unit stores rule information that includes information indicating a plurality of operations based on event data. A computing unit searches the rule information to find information indicating a first operation, information indicating an operation of a condition determination that is executable regardless of the result of the first operation, and information indicating a second operation that is associated with the condition determination and uses the result of the first operation. The computing unit generates control information for controlling the execution order of the operations such that the first operation is executed in accordance with the result of the condition determination and such that the second operation is executed after the first operation. When the event data is input, the computing unit executes an operation corresponding to the input event data, based on the control information.

An information processing system that can create a page easily by the use of contents disclosed from information disclosing servers. A contents storing section stores contents to be provided. In this information processing system, an additional information storing section stores additional information consisting of information indicating the respective attributes of contents stored in the contents storing section and relations among the contents. An additional information obtaining section obtains additional information from an information disclosing server. An additional information storage section stores additional information obtained. An editing section edits additional information stored in the additional information storage section according to an administrator's intention or a user's taste. A display data creating section creates display data for displaying a page from additional information stored in the additional information storage section at the request of a client. A sending section sends display data created to a client which made a request. A send requesting section requests to send predetermined display data. A receiving section receives display data sent. A display outputting section outputs received display data to a display device.

A data utilizing system comprises a data processor, a database for holding plural pieces of data made corresponding to a date and a time as a record, and a category definition dictionary for holding the category definition data about the plural pieces of data, corresponding to periods. When an indication to categorize the records held in the database is inputted to the data processor, the data processor reads the relevant category definition data from the category definition dictionary, and fundamental data forming each record in the database are classified per given period into predetermined categories and tabulated.
