A fuel piping structure includes a fuel pipe, a pressure sensor in communication with the fuel pipe through a communication channel, and a sensor holding part including a projecting part projecting to an outer-peripheral side, being connected to the fuel pipe, and holding the pressure sensor disposed therein. A ring-shaped elastic member is provided between an underside of the projecting part and the fuel pipe, the projecting part being pressed against the fuel pipe. The tip side of the sensor holding part on which a ring-shaped seal member is provided is inserted into a recessed part of the fuel pipe and in communication with the inside of the fuel pipe, and the communication channel is in communication with the recessed part. In the sensor holding part, a conduction channel for a seal test is formed from an end face of the projecting part to the seal member.

Fuel piping structure

An internal combustion engine includes an in-cylinder injection valve and an intake passage injection valve. A control apparatus of the engine determines whether the temperature of a component located in the exhaust passage is higher than or equal to a predetermined temperature. When the temperature of the component is higher than or equal to the predetermined temperature, the control apparatus increases, without changing the total amount of fuel supplied to the cylinder, the ratio of a fuel injection amount of the intake passage injection valve to a fuel injection amount of the in-cylinder injection valve compared to a case where the temperature of the component is not higher than or equal to the predetermined temperature. Therefore, the catalyst is reliably prevented from being overheated, while preventing the fuel economy from deteriorating.

Fuel injection control apparatus and fuel injection control method for internal combustion engine

An internal combustion engine includes an in-cylinder injection valve and an intake passage injection valve. A control apparatus of the engine determines whether a catalyst located in an exhaust passage is in an overtemperature condition. When the catalyst is determined to be in the overtemperature condition, the control apparatus controls the injection valves to increase the amount fuel supplied to the cylinder compared to a case where the catalyst is determined not to be in the overtemperature condition. The control apparatus sets a mode for causing the injection valves to increase the amount of supplied fuel according to an operational state of the engine. For example, in a case where the component is determined to be in the overtemperature condition when the engine is operating in a fuel injection mode in which fuel is injected at least from the in-cylinder injection valve, at least the intake passage injection valve performs fuel injection for increasing the supplied fuel. Therefore, the catalyst is reliably prevented from being overheated.

Each cylinder is provided with an ignition plug, two intake valves, direct fuel injector, and a port fuel injector. When homogeneous combustion is demanded, the direct fuel injector and port fuel injector inject fuel on the same engine cycle. The port fuel injector is installed so that the amount of fuel directed toward outer regions of the intake valves is larger than that of fuel directed toward inner regions of the intake valves, thereby causing only fresh air to flow to regions near the inner regions of the intake valves.

Spark ignition internal combustion engine

An internal combustion engine () is provided with a port injector () and an in-cylinder injector (). Before a port injection is started, the total amount of fuel to be injected is calculated (at an injection amount calculation timing). The port injection fuel amount and the in-cylinder injection fuel amount are calculated by appropriately dividing the total amount between them. If a change of the operating load on the internal combustion engine () is detected after the injection amount calculation timing, the load change is reflected in the amount of fuel to be injected in the current engine cycle by increasing or decreasing the in-cylinder injection fuel amount.

Fuel injection control device for internal combustion engine

An in-cylinder injection type internal combustion engine is provided, which first fires a first spark plug and thereafter fires a second spark plug when a required load is low and which first fires the second spark plug and thereafter fires the first spark plug when the required load is high.
