An air circulation device includes a suction section configured to suck indoor air, and a blower section configured to blow the air sucked by the suction section into a room. The air is in a form of a vortex ring. The air circulation device is operable in at least a first mode in which the vortex ring blown therefrom reaches a wall surface of the room.

A vortex ring generation device includes a casing having a gas passage and a discharge port, and an extrusion mechanism that extrudes a gas in the gas passage such that the gas in a vortex ring shape is discharged from the discharge port. V (m) represents an extrusion volume, D (m) represents a diameter of the discharge port, L (m) represents a length of a cylinder having the diameter D and the volume V, and Re represents a Reynolds number of the discharged gas. 500≤Re≤3000 and 0.5≤L/D≤2.0.

Vortex ring generation device

A suction port and a blow-out port are formed in a casing. A fan is provided in the casing. Under a test condition that a blower is provided in such a way that a reference position of the blow-out port is a position that is separated by 2000 mm upward from a floor, an airflow adjusting mechanism adjusts, in a wide mode, a flow of air blown out from the blow-out port so that an average airflow speed in a first range and an average airflow speed in a second range are approximately equal to each other and so that a ratio of an average airflow speed in a third range to the average airflow speed in the first range is less than 1.5.

Blower and air-conditioning indoor unit

A vortex ring generation device includes a casing having a discharge port, an extrusion mechanism, and a component supply port. The extrusion mechanism extrudes air in an air passage inside the casing such that the air is discharged, in a vortex ring shape, from the discharge port. The component supply port surrounds the air passage. A total circumferential length of the component supply port is &#xbd; or more of a total circumferential length of the discharge port. The extrusion mechanism includes a vibration plate and a drive unit that vibrates the vibration plate. The air passage includes a first passage, and a throttle passage continuous with a downstream end of the first passage. A component chamber is provided inside the casing. The component chamber contains a discharge component to be supplied to the component supply port. The component supply port is located downstream of the throttle passage.

This indoor unit of an air conditioner includes an indoor unit main body having an inlet and an outlet; a heat exchanger; and a cross-flow fan configured to blow out air, which has undergone heat exchange by the heat exchanger. The cross-flow fan has a blow-out flow path that is configured such that a cross-sectional area gradually increases downward, with the blow-out flow path guiding blown-out air to the outlet. When a distance in the lower wall from an intersection, where a tangent inscribing a tongue of the cross-flow fan orthogonally intersects the lower wall, to a lower end of the indoor unit main body is referred to as distance L, a ratio (L/D) of the distance L to outer diameter D of an impeller of the cross-flow fan is less than 0.05. At least part of the blow-out flow path is formed to project out of the outlet at least when air conditioning operation is performed.

Indoor unit of air conditioner

A blade of a cross-flow fan including leading and trailing edge portions arranged on inner and outer peripheral sides of the cross-flow, and a base portion formed between the edge portions. The edge portions are arc shaped. The base portion has a pressure surface and a suction surface. A radius of the leading-edge portion is greater than a radius of the trailing-edge portion. A maximum thickness is at a position of maximum thickness that is closer to the leading-edge portion than to the trailing-edge portion. A first thickness is at midpoint of a blade chord. A second thickness is at a position set apart from an outer-peripheral end of the blade chord by 5% of the chord length. A value obtained by dividing the first thickness by the maximum thickness that is greater than a value obtained by dividing the second thickness by the first thickness.

An indoor unitof an air conditioner includes a cross flow fanand a rear guiderand a stabilizerwhich are provided on the respective sides of the outer periphery of the cross flow fanto form an air passage. Each of the rear guiderand the stabilizerhas, at least at a part in the axial direction which part is on the leading end side, twisted portions. In the circumferential direction of the cross flow fan, each twisted portionis deviated from the axial direction of the cross flow fangradually from one end to the other end.

A multi-blade fan includes a support body rotatable about a rotary shaft, and a plurality of blades secured to the support body such that an inter-blade pitch angle relative to the rotary shaft assumes a prescribed arrangement. The blades extend along an axial direction of the rotary shaft. The plurality of blades are disposed such that, with respect to amplitude values of periodic functions at individual orders when the prescribed arrangement is expanded in a periodic Fourier series, a maximum amplitude value is less than 200% of a second-largest amplitude value.
