Provided is an all-solid-state battery that utilizes a precipitation-dissolution reaction of metallic lithium as a reaction of a negative electrode. The all-solid-state battery has a negative electrode current collector, a Li storage layer containing a fibrous carbon material and a resin, a metal M layer capable of being alloyed with lithium, a solid electrolyte layer, and a positive electrode layer in this order.

A main object of the present disclosure is to provide an all solid state battery in which the reversibility of the deposition and dissolution reaction of a metal Li can be improved while inhibiting an occurrence of short circuit. The above object is achieved by providing an all solid state battery utilizing a deposition and dissolution reaction of a metal Li as an anode reaction, the all solid state battery comprising: an anode current collector, a porous layer comprising a resin, a solid electrolyte layer, a cathode active material layer, and a cathode current collector, in this order; wherein an electric resistance of the porous layer is 1Ω or more and 690Ω or less; and a thickness of the porous layer is 14 μm or less.

A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a lithium solid battery in which the coulomb efficiency of the battery upon deposition and dissolution of a metal lithium is improved. A battery system includes a nickel hydride battery and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to store data indicating a corresponding relationship between an elapsed time from start of use of the nickel hydride battery and a memory quantity. The data are data determined in a classified manner individually for each of conditions of use that are defined in such a manner as to include an open circuit voltage and a temperature. The electronic control unit is configured to sequentially calculate, with reference to the data, the memory quantity within a time when classification of the conditions of use does not change. The memory quantity is a quantity indicating an amount of change in voltage resulting from a memory effect. The electronic control unit is configured to estimate a current memory quantity of the nickel hydride battery by integrating the calculated memory quantity.

A method for estimating, under total voltage monitoring, degradation states of individual unit cells connected in series of an all-solid-state lithium secondary battery includes: calculating, at several timings, a state of charge and open circuit voltage of the battery to acquire an actual state of charge-open circuit voltage curve representing the relationship between the state of charge and the open circuit voltage, selecting, from a map of state of charge-open circuit voltage curves, a curve for which a degree of matching with the actual state of charge-open circuit voltage curve is equal to or greater than a predetermined value or is greatest. The map curves are obtained by integrating as many state of charge-open circuit voltage curves of the unit cell corresponding to different degrees of degradation of the unit cell as the number of unit cells, and estimating the individual unit cells degradation states based on the selected curve.
