A refrigeration cycle device includes a compressor, an upstream branch portion, a heating portion, a decompression portion, a bypass passage, a bypass flow adjustment portion, and a mixing portion. The mixing portion mixes a bypass side refrigerant flowing out from the bypass flow adjustment portion with a decompression-portion side refrigerant flowing out from the decompression portion, and causes the mixed refrigerant to flow to a suction port side of the compressor. The mixing portion mixes the bypass side refrigerant and the decompression-portion side refrigerant such that an enthalpy difference obtained by subtracting an enthalpy of an ideal homogeneously mixed refrigerant from an enthalpy of a suction side refrigerant actually sucked into the compressor is equal to or less than a predetermined reference value.

Refrigeration cycle device

In order to transmit a torque from a hub(rotating body) integrally formed together with a pulleyto, for example, a sleeveinserted under pressure into a rotating shaftof a refrigerant compressor, end surfacesand, which act as a bearing surface, are brought into frictional contact with each other. An axial pressing force is generated by the engagement of screwsandof the rotating shaftand the hub. An annular cut-out part, etc., is provided to form an annular spacein a part of the bearing surface around the rotating shaft. Thereby, the equivalent diameter of the bearing surface is increased, a slip is more unlikely to occur on the bearing surface, and it is therefore no longer necessary to apply an excessive pressing force to obtain a large friction torque.

Power transmission device

In a vehicle air conditioner having a refrigerant cycle using carbon dioxide as refrigerant, a displacement of a compressor is changed and controlled, so that an air temperature immediately after passing through an evaporator becomes approximately 0&deg; C., and it can prevent a refrigerant amount discharged from the compressor from being larger than a predetermined flow amount. Because the refrigerant amount discharged from the compressor is controlled to be not larger than the predetermined flow amount, it can prevent a high-pressure side refrigerant pressure and a high-pressure side refrigerant temperature from being excessively increased in the refrigerant cycle.

A hybrid type compressor is provided that is drivable by an electric motor and an external driving source. The hybrid type compressor includes a housing and a compression mechanism. A shaft is rotatably supported by the housing for transmitting rotational driving force to the compression mechanism. The electric motor unit generates rotational driving force for rotating the shaft and includes a stator fixed to the housing and a rotor rotatable with respect to the stator. The hybrid type compressor also includes a pulley for receiving rotational driving force generated by the external driving source and for transmitting the rotational driving force to the shaft. Additionally, a one-way clutch is provided between the pulley and the shaft for allowing the rotational driving force generated by the external driving source to be transmitted only from the pulley to the shaft.

Hybrid type compressor driven by engine and electric motor

In a hybrid type compressor, a one-way clutch is provided between a magnet rotor and a rotor shaft for allowing rotational driving force generated by an electric motor unit to be transmitted only from a rotor to a shaft. Thus, the rotational driving force generated by a vehicle engine is not transmitted from the rotor shaft to the magnet rotor. That is, an inertia moment of a rotational system with respect to a vehicle engine is made small, thereby reducing the impact vibration when the clutch mechanism engages.

A thrust bearing mechanism receives thrust force which is an element force of a compression counter-force acting on a movable scroll member, and which is perpendicular to the orbital direction of the movable scroll member. The thrust bearing mechanism includes plural substantially cylindrically-shaped first and second rollers. The first roller rotates in one direction, and the second roller rotates perpendicularly to the first roller. Thus, the contact surface area of the rollers is larger than that in which spherical rollers receive the thrust force, thereby suppressing the compressor from being enlarged to accommodate increased thrust forces, and improving the reliability and durability of the compressor.

A compact, lightweight electric motor driven compressor suitable for an air conditioning system using a CO,refrigerant is disclosed. The thickness of a motor casing is reduced by using the gaps formed in the motor portion in a motor casing as a part of a low-pressure intake chamber, while forming a part of the discharge chamber by utilizing the annular gap between the inner surface of a pump casing and the outer surface of a compressor portion. In the case where CO,refrigerant is used, the compressor portion can be reduced in size and therefore a dead space is generated due to the difference in size with the motor casing. Since this dead space is used as a discharge chamber, the capacity of the discharge chamber can be increased to suppress the discharge pulsation.

Electric motor driven compressor

A CO.sub.2 compressor is disclosed for forcing and moving a lubricant under discharge pressure. If the oil path is reduced in size or a pressure reducing part is inserted to handle the large differential pressure caused between the discharge pressure and the intake pressure, the oil path would become liable to be easily clogged by foreign matter. In view of this, an intermittent oil supply mechanism is formed in the oil path using the sliding contact portion between a fixed member of the compressor body and a movable member. Thus, the substantial lubrication time period is shortened and the amount of oil supplied is limited.

CO.sub.2 compressor

A scroll type compressor using a crank mechanism having enough freedom so that an amount of eccentricity of the movable scroll member becomes variable. An elastic body is inserted between the facing surfaces striking each other in the inside of the crank mechanism so as to prevent generation of a noise due to the collision of the parts when starting up or shutting down the compressor.

A scroll compressor for compressing a gaseous refrigerant including a lubricant in a mist state, having a stationary scroll member and a movable scroll member, which define pump chambers at an outer wall side of the movable scroll member and an inner wall side of the movable scroll member, which chambers are initially opened to an inlet port via a main intake passageway for introducing a gaseous refrigerant into the chambers when they are radially outwardly located. A sub-intake passageway, in which a shaft seal unit is provided, is diverted from the main intake passageway and is opened to the outer wall sided chamber before the chamber is sealingly closed so that a flow of gas, from the inlet port, is introduced into the chamber, the gas is positively fed to the shaft seal unit, and the shaft seal unit is lubricated.

Scroll compressor with shaft seal lubrication

A swash plate type variable capacity compressor having rotary valves that rotate together on a rotating shaft. The rotary valves are arranged on the shaft in such a manner that, upon one complete rotation, the rotary valves are connected, in sequential manner, for respective rotating angles, with circumferentially spaced piston chambers via respective intake passageways on the rotary valves. The arrangement between the intake passageways and the piston chamber changes in accordance with the axial position of the rotary valves on the shaft. Control of the rotating angle varies the effective volume of the piston chambers, thereby continuously varying the compressor capacity.
