A welding apparatus includes a welding power source configured to output current between a consumable electrode and a workpiece; and circuitry. The circuitry is configured to control the welding power source to repeat a sequence including: outputting a positive peak current from the workpiece to the consumable electrode during a positive peak period; outputting a positive base current from the workpiece to the consumable electrode and subsequently outputting a negative base current from the consumable electrode to the workpiece during a first base period, an absolute value of the positive base current and the negative base current being less than the positive peak current; and outputting a negative peak current from the consumable electrode to the workpiece during a negative peak period following the first base period, an absolute value of the negative peak current being greater than the absolute value of the positive base current and the negative base current.

Welding apparatus and welding method

An example welding apparatus includes a welding power source configured to output current between a consumable electrode and a workpiece; a feeding apparatus configured to move the consumable electrode toward the workpiece; and circuitry. The circuitry is configured to: control the welding power source to repeat a sequence including: outputting a positive peak current from the workpiece to the consumable electrode during a positive peak period; outputting a first base current between the consumable electrode and the workpiece during a first base period following the positive peak period, an absolute value of the first base current being less than the positive peak current; and outputting a negative peak current from the consumable electrode to the workpiece during a negative peak period following the first base period, an absolute value of the negative peak current being greater than the absolute value of the first base current. The circuitry is further configured to control the feeding apparatus to move the consumable electrode close to the workpiece so as to temporarily short circuit the consumable electrode and the workpiece during the first base period.

An arc welding system includes an arc welding portion that executes an arc welding, an arc welding power supply that supplies a weld voltage and a weld current to the arc welding portion, an analyzer including analyzer circuitry that performs a frequency analysis on a time series waveform of at least one of the weld voltage and the weld current and generates frequency spectral data, and a determiner including determiner circuitry that obtains a welding state of a welding work by the arc welding portion based on the frequency spectral data generated by the analyzer.

An arc welding apparatus includes: a driver for advancing and retreating a welding consumable with respect to a workpiece to generate a short circuit condition and an arc condition; a state detector for detecting respective starts of the short circuit condition and the arc condition based on a voltage between the workpiece and the welding consumable; a time detector for detecting that an elapsed time from the start of the short circuit condition reaches a reference time using a time shorter than an estimated continuation time of the short circuit condition as the reference time; and a power controller for reducing an electric current between the workpiece and the welding consumable corresponding to a state where the elapsed time reaches the reference time and raising the electric current after the start of the arc condition.

An arc welding system includes a feeder to feed a consumable electrode to a welding torch. A power source supplies power to between the electrode and an object. A welding controller controls the feeder and the power source to cause a short-circuit state and an arc state to repeat between the electrode and the object. A robot moves the welding torch along a welding line. A robot controller controls the robot. A detector detects whether a state between the electrode and the object is the short-circuit state or the arc state. A determiner determines whether a first period or a second period has elapsed since the detector detected the arc state. An instructor instructs the robot controller to decelerate the welding torch when the determiner determines that the first period has elapsed, and to stop the welding torch when the determiner determines that the second period has elapsed.

Arc welding system, method for performing arc welding, and method for producing welded product

An arc welding apparatus includes: a detector configured to detect whether it is in a short state or an arc state between a consumable electrode and a welded article; a feed adjuster configured to apply a forward feed for feeding the consumable electrode when the arc state is detected and apply a reverse feed for feeding the consumable electrode when the short state is detected; a determiner configured to determine whether or not a predetermined period has elapsed after the detector has detected the short state; and an instructor configured to instruct the feed adjuster to continue the reverse feed even when the arc state is detected, until the determiner determines that the predetermined period has elapsed.

Arc welding apparatus, arc welding method, arc welding system, and welded article

An arc welding device according to an embodiment carries out welding while repeatedly generating a short circuit state and an arc state between a consumable electrode and a welding member. The arc welding device includes a detection unit and an adjustment unit. The detection unit detects at least one of a length of a short circuit generation period of this time and a length of an arc generation period of this time. The adjustment unit adjusts an increase rate of a short circuit current in a short circuit generation period of next time according to at least one of the length of the short circuit generation period and the length of the arc generation period detected by the detection unit.
