An end effector device includes a housing, a cable, and a winding mechanism. The cable includes at least one of lines that include a power supply line and a signal line. The winding mechanism is located inside the housing and configured to wind the cable. The winding mechanism includes a case, a reel, and a spiral spring. The reel is supported in the case and allowed to rotate and wind the cable. The spiral spring urges the reel in a retrieval direction of the cable pulled out of the reel.

A drive transmission device () includes a first drive train () and a second drive train (). The first drive train () includes a first gear (), a second gear (), a rotary shaft (), and one-way clutches (). The second drive train () includes a third gear (), a fourth gear (), a rotary shaft (), and an electromagnetic clutch (). The third gear () engages the first gear () and the fourth gear () engages the second gear (). A rotational speed of a pickup roller () is switched by switching on/off the electromagnetic clutch () to change a transmission path of driving force.

A transfer unit includes a transfer belt, transfer rollers, support members, moving members, a pinion gear, a sensor, and a light shielding plate that blocks or opens an optical path of the detection portion by rotation of a gear transmitting the drive force to the pinion gear. The light shielding plate includes a pulse portion in which a plurality of slits are formed, and at least one of a light shielding portion and a light transmitting portion formed adjacent to the pulse portion. A rotation amount of the gear is detected based on the number of the slits of the pulse portion that has passed the detection portion, and a reference position of the gear is detected based on timing when an edge of the light shielding portion blocks the detection portion or timing when an edge of the light transmitting portion opens the optical path of the detection portion.

A fixing device includes a pressure mechanism and a pressure adjustment mechanism. The pressure mechanism includes a pressing member holding one of the pressure member and the heating member and a biasing member biasing the pressing member in a direction toward or away from the other of the pressure member and the heating member. The pressure adjustment mechanism includes an eccentric cam. The pressure adjustment mechanism uses one of small-diameter and large-diameter parts formed in the outer peripheral surface of the eccentric cam to allow the pressure mechanism to give the nip pressure, and uses the other of them to allow the pressure mechanism to release the nip pressure. When the large-diameter part is used to allow the pressure mechanism to give or release the nip pressure, the eccentric cam constantly receives reaction force urging it to rotate in a direction toward the small-diameter part.

Fixing device and image forming apparatus therewith

An image forming apparatus includes a driving force transmitting mechanism transmitting a driving force from a driving source to a rotating member through a plurality of coupled driving force transmitting members. The driving force transmitting mechanism has a supporting member and a drive case. The support member supports the driving source and the rotating members. The drive case is provided on the support member and forms a closed space with the supporting member. The closed space stores the driving force transmitting members. The drive case is formed with a sound insulating part. The sound insulating part has at least either one of concave and convex parts at a position closest to the coupling part of the driving force transmitting members.

Image forming apparatus

A drive transmission device includes rotatable shafts, a first transmission mechanism that transmits first driving force, and a second transmission mechanism that transmits second driving force. The first driving force causes a specific rotatable shaft to rotate in a first rotation direction. The second driving force causes the specific rotatable shaft to rotate in a second rotation direction. The second transmission mechanism includes first and second gears, and a switching member that switches between coupling and decoupling of the first and second gears. While the first and second gears are coupled, the second driving force is transmitted to the specific rotatable shaft. The first transmission mechanism includes a cut-off member that cuts off transmission of the first driving force to the specific rotatable shaft upon the second driving force being transmitted to the specific rotatable shaft while the first driving force is being transmitted to the specific rotatable shaft.

Drive transmission device and image forming apparatus including the same

A slide rail assembly includes a fixed rail, a movable rail, and a lever member engageable to the fixed rail. In a state where the movable rail is fully removed from the fixed rail, the lever member locks a ball retainer against sliding movement relative to the fixed rail. In a state where the movable rail is assembled to the fixed rail, the lever member releases the locking of the ball retainer. The lever member includes a pressure receiving portion projectable through a window portion of the ball retainer. During reassembly of the movable rail to the fixed rail, the pressure receiving portion is pressed by a pressing portion of the movable rail, so that the locking of the ball retainer by the lever member is released.

Slide rail assembly and image forming apparatus with the same

A recording medium transport device includes a connecting member that connects two transport roller pairs, and a drive switching section that is provided to one of the two transport roller pairs, and switches between a state in which a rotational drive force is transmitted between the two transport roller pairs via the connecting member and a state in which the rotational drive force is not transmitted between the two transport roller pairs. A controller of the recording medium transport device causes the drive switching section to switch from the state in which the rotational drive force is not transmitted between the two transport roller pairs to the state in which the rotational drive force is transmitted between the two transport roller pairs via the connecting member, when the rotational speed of at least one of the transport roller pairs falls outside a predetermined speed range.

A shaft member holding mechanism comprising: a shaft member arranged rotatably about a rotation axis; a bearing that supports the shaft member rotatably, including an outer ring portion, and an inner ring portion that holds the shaft member and is arranged at an inside of the outer ring portion so that the inner ring portion can rotate relatively to the outer ring portion; a holding member having a bearing holding portion that holds the outer ring portion of the bearing in a state where a rotation of the outer ring portion is regulated; and an inclination suppression member that is arranged at one side of the bearing in the rotation axis direction of the bearing and suppresses the bearing from inclining.
