A honeycomb structure includes a honeycomb unit. The honeycomb unit has a plurality of through holes defined by partition walls along a longitudinal direction of the honeycomb unit. The partition walls have a thickness of approximately 0.1 mm to approximately 0.4 mm. The honeycomb unit is manufactured by molding raw material paste by extrusion molding and thereafter by firing the molded raw material paste. The raw material paste contains zeolite and an inorganic binder. A specific surface area of the zeolite is more than or equal to approximately 500 m/g and less than or equal to approximately 800 m/g. An external surface area of the zeolite is more than or equal to approximately 40 m/g and less than or equal to approximately 80 m/g.

Honeycomb structure

A honeycomb structure includes at least one honeycomb unit having a plurality of through holes defined by partition walls extending along a longitudinal direction of the honeycomb unit. The honeycomb unit includes zeolite, an inorganic binder, and a noble metal catalyst. The zeolite is ion-exchanged with Cu and/or Fe to reduce NOon the zeolite by providing ammonia or its precursor. The noble metal catalyst is supported only in a region of the honeycomb unit. The region extends from one end portion of the honeycomb unit in the longitudinal direction over approximately 1.5% or more to approximately 20% or less of an overall length of the honeycomb unit in the longitudinal direction. The region is provided on a downstream side of the honeycomb unit in a direction in which an exhaust gas is configured to flow through the honeycomb unit.

A honeycomb structure includes a honeycomb unit having a plurality of through holes defined by partition walls along a longitudinal direction of the honeycomb unit. The honeycomb unit is manufactured by molding raw material paste by extrusion molding and thereafter by firing the molded raw material paste. The raw material paste contains zeolite obtained by ion-exchange with iron ions and an inorganic binder. A specific surface area of the zeolite is more than or equal to approximately 500 m/g and less than or equal to approximately 800 m/g. An external surface area of the zeolite is more than or equal to approximately 40 m/g and less than or equal to approximately 80 m/g.

Honeycomb structure, method of manufacturing honeycomb structure, and exhaust gas converter

A silico-alumino phosphate includes Si, Al, and P. A ratio of an amount of substance of Si to a sum of an amount of substance of Al and an amount of substance of P is approximately 0.22 or more and approximately 0.33 or less. An acid point is approximately 1.2 mmol/g or more. A honeycomb structural body includes a honeycomb unit. The honeycomb unit includes the silico-alumino phosphate and an inorganic binder. The honeycomb unit has a plurality of through-holes divided by a plurality of partition walls and arranged in a longitudinal direction of the honeycomb unit. An exhaust gas conversion apparatus includes the honeycomb structural body, a holding sealing member and a metal pipe. The holding sealing member is provided at an outer peripheral portion of the honeycomb structural body. The honeycomb structural body and the holding sealing member are installed in the metal pipe.

Silico-alumino phosphate, honeycomb structural body and exhaust gas conversion apparatus

A honeycomb structure includes at least one honeycomb unit. The at least one honeycomb unit has a plurality of through holes defined by partition walls along a longitudinal direction of the honeycomb unit. The honeycomb unit includes zeolite, an inorganic binder, and a noble metal catalyst. The noble metal catalyst is supported in a region of the honeycomb unit. The region extends from one end portion of the honeycomb unit in the longitudinal direction over approximately 1.5% or more to approximately 20% or less of an overall length of the honeycomb unit in the longitudinal direction.

Honeycomb structure and exhaust gas converter

A honeycomb structural body includes at least one honeycomb unit including a &#x3b2; type zeolite, a phosphate group zeolite, and an inorganic binder and having a plurality of through holes divided by partition walls and arranged in a longitudinal direction of the honeycomb unit. The &#x3b2; type zeolite includes secondary particles having an average particle diameter of approximately 0.5 &#x3bc;m or more and approximately 5 &#x3bc;m or less. A honeycomb structure includes at least one honeycomb unit including zeolite, an inorganic binder, and cell walls. The cell walls extend from a first end face to a second end face to define cells along a longitudinal direction of the at least one honeycomb unit. Each of the cell walls includes a center part in the longitudinal direction and a first end part adjacent to the first end face. The first end part has a thickness larger than a thickness of the center part, and/or the first end part has a porosity smaller than a porosity of the center part.

Honeycomb filter for purifying exhaust gases, adhesive, coating material, and manufacturing method of honeycomb filter for purifying exhaust gases

An exhaust gas conversion system includes an oxide catalyst, a filter, a selective catalytic reduction catalyst and an ammonia supplying device. The filter has a honeycomb structural body including a honeycomb unit. The selective catalytic reduction catalyst has a honeycomb structural body including a honeycomb unit. The oxide catalyst, the filter and the selective catalytic reduction catalyst are sequentially arranged in a direction in which an exhaust gas flows. A ratio of an area of a cross section of the selective catalytic reduction catalyst perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the selective catalytic reduction catalyst with respect to an area of a cross section of the filter perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the filter is approximately 0.55 or more and approximately 0.90 or less. The area of the cross section of the filter is approximately 300 cmor more and approximately 1000 cmor less.

Exhaust gas conversion system and exhaust gas conversion method

A honeycomb structural body includes a honeycomb unit having a plurality of through holes defined by cell walls and arranged in a longitudinal direction of the honeycomb unit. The honeycomb unit includes an inorganic binder, a first zeolite, and second zeolite. The first zeolite includes at least one of a &#x3b2; type zeolite and a ZSM-5 type zeolite, and primary particles having an average particle diameter of approximately 0.01 &#x3bc;m or more and approximately 0.1 &#x3bc;m or less. The second zeolite includes a phosphate group zeolite and primary particles having an average particle diameter of approximately 0.5 &#x3bc;m or more and approximately 5 &#x3bc;m or less. Honeycomb structural body and exhaust gas converting apparatus

A honeycomb structure includes at least one honeycomb unit which includes walls. The walls have a thickness of from about 0.10 mm to about 0.50 mm and extend along a longitudinal direction of the honeycomb structure to define through-holes. The honeycomb structure has a center area inside a boundary line passing through positions located at substantially a half of a length from a center of the honeycomb structure to a periphery of the honeycomb structure in a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The honeycomb structure has a peripheral area outside the boundary line. A thickness of the walls located in the peripheral area is larger than a thickness of the walls located in the center area. A honeycomb structured body of the present invention is a honeycomb structured body in which plural pillar-shaped honeycomb units are bonded to one another through sealing material layers, each unit having in the longitudinal direction a large number of cells placed in parallel with a cell wall therebetween. Herein, a cross-sectional area of the honeycomb unit on a cross-section perpendicular to the length direction is at least about 5 cmand at most about 50 cm, the honeycomb unit includes inorganic fibers and/or whiskers in addition to inorganic particles, and a Young's modulus of the honeycomb unit is at least about 50% and at most about 150% of a Young's modulus of the sealing material layer.

Honeycomb structured body

A honeycomb structure includes a honeycomb unit which has zeolite, inorganic binder, and cell walls extending from one end to another end along a longitudinal direction of the honeycomb unit to define cells. An amount of zeolite contained per apparent unit volume of the honeycomb unit is approximately 230 g/L or more. Mathematical formulae [1] and [2] are satisfied when a thickness of the cell walls is defined as X mm and an average pore diameter of a surface of the cell walls observed by a microscope is defined as Y &#x3bc;m:+0.07&#x2266;+0.27 &#x2003;&#x2003;[1]approximately 0.15&#x2266;&#x2266;approximately 0.35 &#x2003;&#x2003;[2].

A honeycomb structural body includes at least one honeycomb unit which has a longitudinal direction. The at least one honeycomb unit includes plural cell walls, an inorganic binder, and inorganic particles. The plural cell walls extends along the longitudinal direction from one end face to another end face of the at least one honeycomb unit to define plural cells. The inorganic particles include ceria particles, and a ceramic material which has a degree of self-sintering lower than a degree of self-sintering of the ceria particles.
