A thin-wall bearing, comprising a retainer () formed in a divided type having a plurality of resin plate-like members (), (), . . . curved along an inner ring () and an outer ring (). The retainer () comprises pockets () opening to the axial end part thereof and rollingly holding balls (). Slit-like through holes () extending in the axial direction and opening to the axial end part where the opening parts () of the pockets () are positioned are formed at the center parts of pillars () between the pockets () and () adjacent to each other. As a result, the thin-wall bearing can have excellent lubricity.

Thin-wall bearing

A shaft seal device is provided which is capable of sealing a rotary shaft in a positive and reliable manner without requiring a periodical lubricant-supplying operation, and is free from contamination of its environment, products, etc. by splashing of excess lubricant leaking from the oil seal lip. An annular sealing channel is formed in at least one of the opposite ends of a housing of a bearing unit, in which is accommodated an annular lubricant-bearing polymer member fitted on the rotary shaft. The polymer member has an inside diameter substantially equal to an outer diameter of the rotary shaft at an initial stage of rotation of the rotary shaft. The polymer member has at least part of opposite end surfaces or outer peripheral portion thereof disposed substantially in contact with opposite lateral wall surfaces of the sealing channel.

Shaft seal device

A seal ring for magnetic fluid seal device, comprising an annular magnet covered with heat activated resin and an annular pole piece stacked and pressed and bonded coaxially with said annular magnet at a temperature higher than heat activated temperature.

Method of manufacturing a seal ring for magnetic fluid seal device

A magnetic disc device. A seal member consisting of ring magnet and ring-shaped pole pieces is built in a shaft or housing to which disc is fixed. The inner end of the seal member is fixed to the shaft side, and the outer end forms, between the housing, a gap in which electroconductive magnetic fluid is kept. The contact areas of the electroconductive magnetic fluid with the pole pieces and the housing are made remarkedly large, so that not only grounding of the static electricity generated on the disc but also sealing of dust becomes effectual.

Magnetic disc device

A magnetic fluid seal device, which comprises a seal member constituting of two ring-shaped pole pieces attached to the poles of a permanent magnet, a rotor disposed with a gap for the seal member in between, and magnetic fluid magnetically kept in the aforementioned gap. The magnetic fluid is magnetically maintained through a groove defined by the inside faces of the two ring pole pieces and the peripheral surface of the ring magnet, and the distance of the groove on one side of the two ring pole pieces keeping the magnetic fluiid is made smaller than the thickness of the ring magnet at a place on its other side not keeping the magnetic fluid, thus ensuring the magnetic fluid to be injected into the two gaps and the device to be effectually sealed by the two-stage closely adjacent fluid seals formed.

An electroconductive sliding apparatus for electrically connecting a first member to a second member, both of which members are relatively moving and electroconductive by means of an electroconductive contactor, said apparatus comprising: a magnetic fluid, which is retained by means of the magnetic force between said first and/or second members, placed at the slidable contact point of said first and/or second members with said contactor; said first and/or second members and said contactor being brought into close proximity capable of metal contact or electroconduction by means of the force applied to said contactor and at said slidable contact point at which said magnetic fluid is placed.
