A method for forming a thin, board-like base material has a tensile transfer step and a forming step. In the tensile transfer step, the long, thin, board-like base material is transferred by pulling the thin, board-like base material in the transfer direction while holding both ends of the thin, board-like base material along the transfer direction and pulling the ends outward in the direction intersecting the transfer direction. In the forming step, predetermined forming operations are performed with respect to the thin, board-like base material.

Method and apparatus for forming thin-board-like base material

A method is provided for manufacturing a terminal member that is electrical conductive with a conductive member. The terminal member is formed by working a workpiece having a plate shape with a first surface and a second surface extending from one end toward the other end, by cutting out a recessed portion at the one end from the first surface to the second surface. In this method, the recessed portion is supported by being abutted against a supporting member, and a portion spaced from the recessed portion toward the other end side is fixed, and both side portions along the one end from the recessed portion are bent while being pressed from the first surface toward the second surface side, thereby forming, as a pair of conductive surfaces for conduction with the conductive member, second surface portions facing each other with the supporting member interposed therebetween.

A thin plate-shaped substrate molding device for pressing molding a pre-molded article to a prescribed irregular shape. The thin plate-shaped substrate molding device comprises a first die, a second die, a plurality of tensioning portions and a controller. The first and second dies are movably disposed to be moved towards and away from each other. The second die has protruding portions that protrude towards the first die for forming stretched portions and forming bent portions. The controller controls the first die, the second die and the tensioning portions. The bent portions are tensioned and stretched by the tensioning portions, while the stretched portions of the pre-molded article are still pressed by the first die and the protruding portions of the second die, to impart the shape of the protruding portions to the pre-molded article along the side edges of the protruding portions.

A laminated work production apparatus for producing a laminated work by punching a plate-like metal material into a plate-like work of a predetermined shape and stacking a plurality of the plate-like works includes a mold for punching the metal material, a stacking jig moving mechanism for moving a stacking jig to a stacking position where the plate-like works are stacked, a retention mechanism for retaining the punched plate-like works at a retaining position different from the stacking position until a preset number is reached, and a knockout mechanism for knocking out a plurality of plate-like works in a punching direction and stacking the plate-like works on the stacking jig arranged at the stacking position when the preset number of plate-like works are retained in the retention mechanism.

A press-formed member includes a first wall with a first thickness, a second wall with a second thickness, and a first corner portion. The first corner portion is disposed between the first and second walls, with the first corner portion having an increased thickness formed by pressure-forming such that the increased thickness of the first corner portion is larger than the first and second thicknesses of the first and second walls adjacent to the first corner portion. In a manufacturing method for the press-formed member, a preliminary body structure to be deformed is provided, and the thickness of the first corner portion of the preliminary body structure is increased by applying pressure to the preliminary body structure.

A preform having edges overlapped and jointed, two outer members for forming outer surfaces of a hydroformed product, and reinforcement members for forming reinforcement ribs that divide a hollow cross section of the hydroformed product, including a joint formed by, when more than three sheet materials for forming the outer members and the reinforcement members are overlapped together, welding a first sheet material on a surface of the overlapped sheet materials to a second sheet material positioned inside the first sheet material, and a space disposed and aligned with a joint plane between the second sheet material and a third sheet material located inside the second sheet material during the welding process.

A manufacturing method of an endless metal belt having metal rings built up and differing in circumference, includes the following steps of: a first circumference correction step of expanding each of the metal rings; and a second circumference correction step of expanding each of the metal rings after conducting a solution heat treatment to the expanded metal ring. In the manufacturing method, by executing the first circumference correction step and the second circumference correction step before and after the solution heat treatment, respectively, an expansion quantity for setting a circumference of each of the metal rings to become a predetermined length is attained.
