A structure for a lower portion of a vehicle body includes a right side sill (), a right floor frame (), a right cross member (), and a muffler. A fuel tank is provided on an inner side of the right floor frame () in a vehicle width direction. The right cross member () spans between the right floor frame () and the right side sill () and extends in the vehicle width direction. Furthermore, the muffler is provided in a region enclosed by the right side sill (), the right floor frame (), and the right cross member (). The right cross member () has an upward deformation guiding part (). The upward deformation guiding part () is formed to be able to be deformed upward due to an impact load (F) input to the right side sill ().

Structure for lower portion of vehicle body

Provided is a rear end structure of a vehicle body, with which it is possible to reduce vehicle weight and achieve satisfactory vehicle body rigidity. The rear end structure of a vehicle body is equipped with a floor panel having a low floor part, a high floor part provided rearward of the low floor part, and a floor recess formed in the high floor part and describing a protuberant configuration when viewed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a brace connecting the low floor part and the bottom surface of the floor recess.

Rear end structure of vehicle body

A vehicle body bottom structure includes left and right side sills which are provided to extend in a vehicle front-rear direction along outside end portions of a vehicle body in a vehicle width direction, a dash cross member which is coupled to front ends of the left and right side sills, and extends in the vehicle width direction, an outrigger which is connected to a rear end of a front side frame, and coupled to each of the front ends of the left and right side sills, to extend in the vehicle width direction, and a dash lower having a wheel housing portion is clamped to be joined between the dash cross member and the outrigger.

Vehicle body bottom structure

A vehicle body bottom structure includes a dash lower for separating a vehicle compartment from a power mounted room as well as separating the vehicle compartment from a wheel house, a front pillar which is erected at a vehicle-widthwise end portion of the dash lower, and a gusset which is bridged between the dash lower and the front pillar. The gusset is joined to the dash lower at one end thereof, and is spaced apart from the dash lower as the gusset approaches the front pillar, to be joined to the front pillar at the other end thereof, and a crushing space of a substantially triangular shape in a plan view is formed in a portion surrounded by the dash lower, the front pillar, and the gusset.

Provided is a vehicle body bottom structure capable of restricting retraction of a front pillar by improving absorption performance for a collision load at a time of a narrow offset collision. The vehicle body bottom structure includes a dash lower for partitioning a vehicle compartment and a power mounted room as well as partitioning the vehicle compartment and a wheel house, a front pillar erected at a vehicle-widthwise end portion of the dash lower, and a gusset bridged between the dash lower and the front pillar, wherein the gusset is joined to the dash lower at one end thereof, and is spaced further from the dash lower the nearer to the front pillar, to be joined to the front pillar at the other end thereof, and wherein a crushing space is formed in a portion surrounded by the dash lower, the front pillar, and the gusset.
