Disclosed is a multilayered-stretched resin film characterized in that on the back surface of a printable front layer (A) comprising a thermoplastic resin, an inorganic finepowder, and/or an organic filler is laminated a back layer (B) comprising a surface-treated inorganic finepowder and a thermoplastic resin comprising a hydrophilic thermoplastic resin, and in that the peel strength of back layer (B) is from 10 to 200 g/cm. The multilayered-stretched resin film affords good suitability for printing and embossing, that can be directly adhered to a wall or the like using a water-soluble adhesive without necessitating a backing of natural paper required by conventional wallpapers, and that can be readily peeled off the wall in a manner permitting recycling.

A labeled in-mold shaped article in which an in-mold label having a thermoplastic resin-containing substrate layer and a heat-seal layer that contains a heat-seal resin and a water-soluble binder is stuck to a shaped article and in which the in-mold label does not peel off from the shaped article even when the labeled in-mold shaped article is dipped in water at 40&#xb0; C. for 4 days. Disclosed is a stretched resin film having a liquid absorption coefficient of at least 5 ml/(m&#xb7;ms). The stretched resin film has good liquid absorbability with good seepage resistance. When stuck to objects with a water-base adhesive, it dries within a short period of time and attains good adhesiveness.

An electrophotographic film with excellent water resistance, which is more reduced in heat curling than before when used as a recording paper for thermal fixing-type electrophotographic printers or a copying machines and prevents stains of the toner-fixing unit if it jams in the printer or copying machine and which can provide continuous printing of a large number of sheets, is provided by an electrophotographic film comprising a resin film (A) formed of a resin composition containing an inorganic fine powder and/or an organic filler, the resin composition having a melt tension of 5 g or more at 210&#xb0; C., a crystallization temperature of 120&#xb0; C. or more and a crystallization heat of 60 J/cmor less.

Electrophotographic film and recorded material using the same

An object of the present invention is to provide recording paper and label paper with excellent waterproof properties, reduced curling from heat when used as recording paper in a heat-fixing type electrophotographic printer, a heat-fixing type electrophotographic copier or a direct heat-sensitive printer, excellent paper delivery properties, and capable of providing continuous printing of multiple sheets. A further object of the invention is to provide recording paper and label paper with excellent waterproof properties as the base materials of masking seals and re-covering-preventing labels, and requiring no special process to start peeling. The present invention provides recording paper comprising resin film (A) containing a thermoplastic resin, and at least one of inorganic fine powder and an organic filler, wherein the heat of crystallization is 60 J/cmor lower, and label paper using the same.

Disclosed is a label having a base layer (A) of a uniaxially stretched film containing 55 to 95 wt % of a thermoplastic resin and an inorganic or organic fine powder having an average grain size of 0.2 to 2 &mgr;m in an amount more than 5 wt % and not more than 45 wt %; a surface layer (B) of a uniaxially stretched film provided on one surface of the base layer (A), containing 35 to 85 wt % of a thermoplastic resin and 15 to 65 wt % of an inorganic fine powder having an average grain size of 0.2 to 2 &mgr;m; and an adhesive layer (C) of a uniaxially stretched film provided on the opposite surface of the base layer (A), containing 90 to 99 wt % of a thermoplastic resin having a melting point of 80 to 140&deg; C., and 1 to 10 wt % of an inorganic or organic fine powder having an average grain size of 0.7 to 3 &mgr;m. The label is characterized in that being excellent in opacity, Clark stiffness, placement property in the in-mold forming and adhesiveness, and being less causative of blister or orange peel texture after the in-mold forming.

Disclosed is a stretched film of a thermoplastic resin comprising a stretched film base layer (A) containing 40 to 85 wt % of a thermoplastic resin and 60 to 15 wt % of an inorganic or organic fine powder; and a stretched film surface layer(B), being provided at least on one surface of said stretched film base layer (A), containing 30 to 90 wt % of a thermoplastic resin and 70 to 10 wt % of inorganic or organic fine powder having an average particle size smaller than that of the inorganic or organic fine powder contained in the stretched film base layer (A), and has a porosity of 5 to 60%. The stretched film of the thermoplastic resin has a high surface hardness, excellent processability in embossing and desirable ink adhesiveness, and can effectively be used in a variety of applications including building decorative.

A fusion thermal transfer recording sheet having a base layer (A) of a uniaxially stretched film containing 40 to 85 wt % of a thermoplastic resin and 60 to 15 wt % of an inorganic or organic fine powder; and a surface layer (B) of a uniaxially stretched film, provided on at least one surface of the base layer (A), containing 30 to 90 wt % of a thermoplastic resin and 70 to 10 wt % of an inorganic fine powder which has an average grain size equals to or smaller than that of the inorganic or organic fine powder contained in the base layer (A) and has a grain surface modified by hydrophilic treatment is disclosed. The fusion thermal transfer recording sheet is excellent in applicability to color fusion thermal transfer recording, applicability to thermal transfer bar code recording under a hot and humid atmosphere, and in ink adhesiveness.

Disclosed is a transparent film comprising a substrate layer (A) of a uniaxially stretched film containing 95 to 100 wt % of thermoplastic resin and 0 to 5 wt % of an inorganic or organic fine powder having an average particle size of 0.2 to 2 &mgr;m, a surface layer (B) of a uniaxially stretched film containing 85 to 99 wt % of a thermoplastic resin and 1 to 15 wt % of an inorganic fine powder having an average particle size of 0.7 to 3 &mgr;m and being provided on one surface of the substrate layer (A), and an adhesive layer (C) of a uniaxially stretched film containing 90 to 99 wt % of a thermoplastic resin having a melting point of 80 to 140&deg; C. and containing 1 to 10 wt % of an inorganic or organic fine powder having an average particle size of 0.7 to 3 &mgr;m and being provided on the other surface of the substrate layer (A). The transparent label is characterized in that having an excellent transparency and suitability for in-mold forming.

A synthetic paper made of a stretched resin film; said stretched resin film being obtained by stretching a resin film having as a support a resin composition which contains: (A) from 30 to 80% by weight of a crystalline polyolefin resin; and (B) from 70 to 20% by weight of milled calcium carbonate particles at a temperature lower than the melting point of said crystalline polyolefin resin employed as the component (A); and an inkjet recording paper made by using this synthetic paper. Because of having projections of finely milled calcium carbonate particles with a hydrophilic surface around which a number of fine cracks are formed, the synthetic paper shows improved moisture absorptivity for water color inks and aqueous adhesives, quick drying properties and excellent printability.

An in-mold label with a coupon composed of a base layer having formed on the back side thereof an adhesive layer, in which said base layer comprises a biaxially stretched resin film, a part of the adhesive layer has a formation density of 50% or less to form a less adhesive zone, with at least one end of the less adhesive zone remaining non-adhesive to provide a stripping starting part having a width of from 5 to 10 mm measured from the end of the less adhesive zone to the direction of stripping and an area ratio of not more than 30% based on the total area of the less adhesive zone, the surface of the base layer corresponding to the less adhesive zone has printed thereon a coupon, and the periphery of the printed coupon is perforated. The in-mold label, after integrally molded with a resin container, suffers from no blister, and the coupon can easily be stripped off the container with fingers.

Process for producing labeled hollow container

A method of preparing an in-mold label is described in which a resin film is embossed to form a gravure pattern having from 60 to 200 roll-formed lines per inch. The embossed film is stretched and then coated on its embossed pattern side with a heat-sensitive liquid resinous adhesive in an amount of from 1 to 10 g/m.sup.2 on a dry resin basis. The applied adhesive is then dried to form an adhesive layer on the film. The in-mold label obtained by the present invention is excellent in printing suitability including feeding properties and ink adhesion, has an advantage that die-cutting for producing the label can be conducted at a high efficiency, and is less apt to develop blisters even under a wide range of molding conditions when used in in-mold application.
