A working machine includes a machine body, a cabin on the machine body, an air conditioner body for air conditioning in the cabin, and a prime mover room to contain a prime mover on the machine body. The air conditioner body is disposed above the prime mover room.

A cabin is mounted on a device frame, and hydraulic equipment is placed on a pedestal of the device frame. In this configuration, an attachment body of a front lower part of the cabin is disposed and attached onto an installation part on a front part of the pedestal; providing a front cover between the front part of the pedestal and the front lower part of the cabin for covering forward and outward of the hydraulic equipment; and providing a front plate on the front lower part of the cabin for supporting a lower edge of a front glass. A vertically intermediate portion of an inner surface of the front plate is fixed to the attachment body, and a lower part of the front plate is placed on an upper side of the cover to thereby cover forward and upward of the installation part of the pedestal.

A grip comprises a grip body forming a gripping control portion of a manually operable device to be held with the operator's palm and fingers. The grip body includes a ball-receiving surface coming into contact with the ball of the thumb, a palm-receiving surface coming into contact with a middle portion of the palm and the ball of the little finger, a finger-receiving surface coming into contact with the fingers, an open surface positioned between the tips of the fingers and the ball of the thumb for receiving the thumb when the grip body is held, and a switch mounted on a top portion of the grip body to be operable with the thumb. The grip body further comprises a thumb-guiding portion in the form of a shallow groove formed at an upper part of the ball-receiving surface of the grip body, the inside of the first joint of the thumb being placed along the thumb-guiding portion when the switch is operated, and a rising portion formed on at least either one of portions between the thumb-guiding surface and the open surface and between the thumb-guiding surface and the palm-receiving surface for applying resistance when the operator's hand advances into the switch.

A swiveling work machine includes: a swivel deck; an engine disposed rearward of the swivel deck; a suction type radiator disposed rearward of the swivel deck; a bonnet covering the engine and the radiator and forming an engine room; a cabin disposed frontward of the engine room; a partition wall standing on the swivel deck between the cabin and the engine room and forming a front portion of the bonnet; an air conditioner main body disposed frontward of the partition wall and in a lower portion of the cabin; an ambient air inlet for supplying ambient air to the air conditioner main body, the ambient air inlet being formed in a portion of the partition wall facing a radiator suction space; and a filter provided in the ambient air inlet.

On an upper face of the operating deck, there are formed a mounting portion for the driver's seat, a mounting portion for the first operating device, and a mounting portion for the second operating device; the driver's seat, the first operating device and the second operating devices being mounted on the respective mounting portions independently of each other.

An ignition switch device is provided with a switch having a key hole, and capable of being rotationally operated in a predetermined direction with an ignition key inserted to start and stop the engine of an industrial machine, a case covering the switch and formed with an insertion hole allowing the key hole to face the outside, a shutter rotatable between a closed position where the insertion hole of the case is closed, and an open position where the insertion hole is opened to allow the key hole to face outside, and a gutter formed on the surface of the case, and extending toward an outer end of the case while a base end communicates with the insertion hole.

A swiveling work machine includes a swivel deck, an engine and an operator's seat which are mounted on the swivel deck and a protector for the operator's seat mounted erect on the swivel deck. The swivel deck mounts, at a rear portion thereof, a support frame having four post portions disposed around the engine. Two rear post portions of the support frame have upper ends thereof connected via a rear beam member. The rear beam member includes an attaching portion for the operator's seat protector to which portion the protector is attached.

A work machine includes an attachment movable by an actuator, an operational member for operating the attachment through the actuator; and a controller operable to output an operation signal for operating the actuator in response to an operation of the operational member. The controller allows setting of a change amount in the operation signal corresponding to an operational amount of the operational member, independently for each operational direction of the actuator.
