According to one embodiment, a casing accommodating a display panel and a illumination device includes a bottom portion supporting the illumination device, a first edge part and a second edge part, a third edge part extending along a first direction at a position between the first edge part and the second edge part, a first locking portion provided at the first edge part, and a second locking portion provided at the second edge part, wherein a first adhesive member adheres the display panel to the first locking portion, a second adhesive member adheres the display panel to the second locking portion.

Display device and storing body

According to one embodiment, an illumination device comprises a first mounting board including a plurality of first light emitting elements, a second mounting board including a plurality of second light emitting elements, and a first wiring board including a first wiring line electrically connected to at least one of the plurality of first light emitting elements and the plurality of second light emitting elements. The first mounting board and the second mounting board extend in a first direction and are arranged along a second direction intersecting the first direction. The first wiring board is superposed on the first mounting board and the second mounting board. The first wiring board has rigidity that is lower than rigidity of each of the first mounting board and the second mounting board.

Illumination device and display device

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a sheet-like display panel having a first area, second and third areas, and a support substrate bonded to the display panel. The support substrate has a first support portion overlapping the first area, second and third support portions overlapping the second area, fourth and fifth support portions overlapping the third area, a first groove between the first and second support portions, a second groove between the second and third support portions, a third groove between the first and fourth support portions, and a fourth groove between the fourth and fifth support portions. The first and second grooves extend along the second direction. The third and fourth grooves extend along a first direction.

Display device

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel including a display surface and a rear surface located in an opposite side to the display surface, a support plate including a first main surface opposing the rear surface of the display panel, a second main surface located in an opposite side to the first main surface and a first opening opposing at least a central portion of the display panel, and an adhesive tape disposed on the second main surface so as to be overlaid on the first opening, and including a first adhesive region attached on the second main surface around the first opening and a second adhesive region located in the first opening and attached on the rear surface of the display panel.

In a display panel mounted on a display device, a configuration of mounting that realizes decrease in thickness and weight and exhibits high reliability as well. The display panel is provided with a screen, a plastic frame supporting at least part of the outer periphery of a surface light source device, and a metallic frame disposed on the outside of the plastic frame. On the plastic frame, bosses for fixing the display panel are formed. The metallic frame is furnished at the positions opposite the bosses with holes that allow insertion of screws for fixing the display panel. The display panel is fixed to the outer cover of the display device by causing the fixing screws to be fastened by screwing into the bosses formed on the plastic frame of the display panel.
