A refrigeration apparatus includes a gas-liquid separator on a downstream side of a radiator, and a refrigerant circuit in which a high pressure of a refrigeration cycle is equal to or higher than a critical pressure. The refrigeration apparatus includes a gas passage that communicates with the gas-liquid separator and at least one of a plurality of heat exchangers provided in the refrigerant circuit, and an opening and closing device that opens and closes the gas passage. There is provided a controller that opens the opening and closing device when a pressure in the gas-liquid separator is equal to or higher than a predetermined value in a state where a compression unit of the refrigerant circuit is stopped to suppress occurrence of pressure abnormality inside the gas-liquid separator in a state where a compressor is stopped.

Heat source unit and refrigeration apparatus

A heat source unit constitutes a refrigeration apparatus by being connected to a utilization-side unit. The heat source unit includes a low-stage compression element, a high-stage compression element, and a heat exchanger. The low-stage compression element has a discharge pipe provided with a pressure switchgear. The high-stage compression element compresses a refrigerant discharged from the low-stage compression element. When the low-stage compression element is paused in response to activation of the pressure switchgear, the high-stage compression element operates while the low-stage compression element is kept paused.

A switching mechanism (TVTVTVTVFV) includes an electric motor (), a flow path switching portion () to be driven by the electric motor (), a first port (P) connected to a high-pressure flow path () of a refrigerant circuit (), a second port (P) connected to a low-pressure flow path () of the refrigerant circuit (), and a third port (P) connected to a predetermined flow path of the refrigerant circuit (). The switching mechanism (TVTVTVTVFV) is switched between a first state in which the first port (P) communicates with the third port (P) and a second state in which the second port (P) communicates with the third port (P) in such a manner that the electric motor () drives the flow path switching portion ().

Refrigeration apparatus-use unit, heat source unit, and refrigeration apparatus

A refrigerant circuit has a liquid passage that allows a receiver to communicate with a utilization heat exchanger, and a first expansion valve provided in the liquid passage. The controller opens the first expansion valve when the compression element is in the stopped state and a pressure in the receiver exceeds a predetermined first pressure.

Refrigeration apparatus

A heat source unit connected to a utilization-side unit and configured to perform a refrigeration cycle includes a low-stage compressor, a high-stage compressor, a four-way switching valve, a low-stage pipe, and a controller. The low-stage pipe is provided in parallel with the low-stage compressor, and the refrigerant flows therethrough while the low-stage compressor is stopped. The controller outputs an instruction signal for actuating the four-way switching valve, to the four-way switching valve while the low-stage compressor is stopped and the high-stage compressor is operating.

A heat source unit connected to a utilization unit includes a compressor, a first heat exchanger, a first expansion valve, and a receiver. The heat source unit further includes a first cooler and a second cooler. The first cooler cools a primary refrigerant flowing from the receiver toward the utilization unit. The second cooler cools the primary refrigerant flowing from the first heat exchanger functioning as a radiator toward the first expansion valve, using a coolant other than outdoor air.

A refrigeration apparatus is of a two-stage compression type for compressing a refrigerant to a supercritical region. The refrigeration apparatus includes a lower stage-side compression unit, a higher stage-side compression unit, an intermediate cooler, a heat source-side heat exchanger, a utilization-side heat exchanger, an economizer circuit, and a control unit. During a first operation in which the heat source-side heat exchanger functions as a radiator and the utilization-side heat exchanger functions as an evaporator, in a case where a discharge temperature which is a temperature of the refrigerant discharged from the higher stage-side compression unit is more than a first temperature, the control unit increases a cooling capacity of the intermediate cooler without increasing a refrigerant flow rate of the economizer circuit on condition that the intermediate cooler does not reach a maximum cooling capacity.

If a first condition that an intermediate pressure corresponding to a pressure of an intermediate flow path is greater than a predetermined value is satisfied in an operation in which first, second, and third compressors are operated, the control unit executes a first action of increasing the number of revolutions of the third compressor.

A refrigeration apparatus () includes a heat-source-side unit () using a refrigerant that works in a supercritical region. The heat-source-side unit () includes a compression element () configured to compress the refrigerant, a heat-source-side heat exchanger (), an expansion valve () provided downstream of the heat-source-side heat exchanger (), a receiver () provided downstream of the expansion valve (), and a control unit (). The control unit () performs a first operation for evaluating the amount of the refrigerant based on a high-pressure-side pressure, on a first condition that the internal pressure of the receiver () be equal to or less than a supercritical pressure.

Refrigeration device and method for determining amount of refrigerant in refrigeration device

A refrigerant circuit (), in which carbon dioxide circulates as a refrigerant, includes a plurality of heat exchangers (), a receiver (), a degassing passage (), and a degassing valve (). The refrigeration system implements a first operation during which one of the plurality of heat exchangers () functions as a radiator while two of the plurality of heat exchangers () function as evaporators, and the refrigerant flows from the heat exchanger () functioning as a radiator into the receiver () and then flows from the receiver () into each of the two heat exchangers () functioning as evaporators. The control unit () changes the degassing valve () from a closed state to an open state when a pressure (RP) in the receiver () exceeds a first pressure (Pth) set in advance, in the first operation.

The heat source controller transmits the drive permission signal (SE) to the utilization controller when the compression element is drivable. The utilization controller opens a utilization expansion valve when heat exchange in a utilization heat exchanger is required, on condition that the utilization controller receive the drive permission signal (SE).

Refrigeration apparatus that operates a utilization unit based on drivability of a compressor in a heat source unit

A heat source-side unit () includes a heat source-side circuit (). The heat source-side circuit () includes a compression unit () including a lower-stage compression element () and a higher-stage compression element (), an intermediate heat exchanger () disposed on a refrigerant path between the lower-stage compression element () and the higher-stage compression element (), and a bypass passage () connected to a suction pipe () and a discharge pipe () each connected to the lower-stage compression element (). At startup of the compression unit (), a first action is performed for stopping the lower-stage compression element () and operating the higher-stage compression element (). This configuration thus suppresses occurrence of liquid compression at startup of a compressor.

Heat source-side unit and refrigeration apparatus

A heat source controller performs a first operation when a compression element is in a stopped state and a pressure in a receiver exceeds a predetermined first pressure. The heat source controller allows an inlet of the compression element to communicate with the receiver, and drives the compression element in the first operation.

A refrigeration apparatus includes a heat source-side unit and a utilization-side unit that are connected to each other, and performs a refrigeration cycle in which a high pressure of a refrigerant reaches or exceeds a critical pressure. A second connection point (C) connecting an outflow portion of the first flow path () and an inflow portion of the third flow path () is connected to a gas-side end of a heat source heat exchanger (). A third connection point (C) connecting an outflow portion of the second flow path () and an inflow portion of the fourth flow path () is connected to a gas-side end of a second utilization heat exchanger (). A fourth connection point (C) connecting an outflow portion of the third flow path () and an outflow portion of the fourth flow path (), and a gas-side end of a first utilization heat exchanger () are connected to a suction portion of the compression unit ().
