A semiconductor laser device comprises a stem serving as a base; a laser diode LD submount having surface electrodes arranged thereon and joined to the surface of the stem; an LD chip joined to the surface electrode and connected with the surface electrode; and leads fixed in through holes formed in the stem by means of sealing parts and electrically connected to the surface electrodes via embedded layers in via holes formed in the LD submount, wherein grooves are formed in portions of the sealing parts or in portions of the LD submount around the connections between the leads and the embedded layers, to obtain a good modulated light waveform.

Semiconductor laser device

A light module includes a module main body and a flexible substrate. The module main body has a stem, and a high frequency lead and a DC lead. The flexible substrate has a stem contact portion in contact with the lower surface of the stem. A high frequency through-hole and a DC through-hole are formed in the stem contact portion in which the high frequency lead and the DC lead are respectively inserted. The flexible substrate includes plural surface wirings, a ground wiring provided in a first region which contains the high frequency through-hole, but does not contain the DC through-hole on the back surface of the stem contact portion, and an adhesive layer provided in a second region which is a region excluding the first region on the back surface of the stem contact portion.

Light module and production method therefor

Access point pictures designated as randomly accessible positions are I pictures or P pictures. Information indicating the decoding sequence (I, P, B, B, B, B, P, . . . ) of pictures functioning as access points and attribute information (picture_type) indicating whether a picture functions as an access point or is necessary for decoding of the access point following a given access point are recorded on the video information recording medium. Random access is possible even if the GOP interval is lengthened.

Randomly accessible visual information recording medium and recording method, and reproducing device and reproducing method

In a recording medium on which is recorded a multiplexed stream including a plurality of first packets (V_main) constituting a first I-picture in a first video stream and a plurality of second packets (V_sub) constituting a second I-picture in a second video stream, information for identifying the first I-picture and information for identifying the second I-picture are recorded on the medium. A recording medium can thereby be obtained that enables the rapid detection, from a small amount of information, of a particular picture included in a stream such as a TS in which multiple content streams are multiplexed.

Recording medium, reproducing apparatus, and reproducing method

A video reproduction device () reproduces expanded video data (D) whose brightness dynamic range is wider than a standard video. The video reproduction device () includes a brightness information adjustment unit (). The brightness information adjustment unit () changes first output brightness levels of the expanded video data (D) to second output brightness levels. When the expanded video data (D) is reproduced at a second reproduction speed faster than a first reproduction speed which is a normal speed, the brightness information adjustment unit () reduces the first output brightness levels to the second output brightness levels.

The connector comprises a holding member and a contact which is held by the holding member. The contact has a fixed portion, a first spring portion and a second spring portion. The fixed portion is held by and fixed on the holding member. The first spring portion extends from the fixed portion. The first spring portion includes two pressed portions, a movable starting point and a movable end portion which is movable. When an inserting object is moved along a moving direction which is a forward direction or a rearward direction, the pressed portions are pressed by a press portion to be moved downward perpendicular to the moving direction. The inserting object is a card or a card adapter. The inserting object has the press portion. The second spring portion is provided with a free end and a contact point. When the inserting object is moved in the moving direction, the second spring portion is moved downward together with a movement of the movable starting point so that the inserting object is prevented from being brought into contact with the free end of the second spring portion.

Connector

A connector is connectable with a card which is inserted from an insertion opening. The card has a terminal. The connector comprises a holding member and a contact. The holding member has a rear support portion and a front support portion. The contact is held by the holding member. The contact has a base portion and a spring portion. The base portion has a rear supported portion, a front supported portion and a movable starting point. The rear supported portion is supported by the rear support portion. The front supported portion is supported by the front support portion. The movable starting point is positioned between the rear supported portion and the front supported portion. The spring portion extends frontward from the movable starting point in a front-rear direction. The spring portion is provided with a contact point which is to be in contact with the terminal of the card.

A connector device comprises a tray, a connector body, a lock member and a pressing member. The lock member is unmovable beyond a second position along an ejection direction. The pressing member applies a force toward the second position directly or indirectly to the lock member. The tray is formed with a locked portion. The lock member is provided with a lock portion and a pressed portion. The lock portion locks the locked portion to prevent the tray from moving beyond a lock position along the ejection direction when the tray is accommodated in the connector body. The pressing member presses the pressed portion against the case when the connector device is attached in the case. The tray located at the locked position is positioned relatively to the case by this pressing.
