A sound output device includes a main device portion that incorporates at least a battery and that is positioned behind an auricle, a sound output portion that incorporates at least a speaker and that is positioned in front of the auricle, a connection portion that connects the main device portion and the sound output portion to each other and that is positioned to run up along an ear lobe, and a joint that is removably attached to the sound output portion, that has a sound emitting opening, and that guides sound output from the speaker to an external acoustic opening, in which the joint for one of a left ear or a right ear is mounted on the sound output portion.

Provided is a loudspeaker device that includes a body and a lock lever. The body includes an actuator that operates in response to an input drive signal, and an attachment part attachable to an adapter mounted on a helmet and including an engagement part. The lock lever includes a locking part, the lock lever being rotatably supported by the body, and allow, when rotated, the locking part to be engaged with the engagement part. The loudspeaker device is designed to be attachable and detachable to and from the adapter. The body is designed to be locked on the adapter, as a result of engagement of the locking part with the engagement part. The loudspeaker device allows for easy mounting on the helmet, while being prevented in a mounted state from falling from the helmet.

A recording and reproducing apparatus employing a flat, plate-shaped memory as a recording medium. The apparatus includes a selection operation unit for selecting data stored in the memory located at an end of a main body portion of the apparatus, where the memory is detachably loaded. The apparatus also includes an ejection unit located at an end opposing the selection operation unit for ejecting the loaded memory, thereby to prevent mistaken operations in data selection and memory ejection.
