A system for dehumidifying and drying a powdered or granular material having a drying hopper, a dehumidifying unit, and a circulation route having a processing gas supply route and a processing gas dehumidifying route that interconnect the drying hopper and the dehumidifying unit to allow processing gas to circulate is proposed. The system repeatedly supplies and circulates the processing gas in the circulation route. The processing gas supply route and the processing gas dehumidifying route are interconnected by a bypass route having a regulation valve. A temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of processing gas exhausted from the drying hopper is installed in the processing gas dehumidifying route. The system further has a control means for controlling opening or closing of the regulation valve, provided in the bypass route, based on a temperature detection signal detected by the temperature sensor. The control by the control means is performed under the condition that the total circulation amount of the processing gas circulated in the circulation route, including the amount of the gas passing through the bypass route, is held substantially constant.

A suspension type damper unit, a suction type powder collector and an air mixing suction type powder collector are disclosed, which have a cover plate suspended at a material discharge port thereof with a suspension member so as to form a space for the material discharge port. In these apparatus, the cover plate functions to close the material discharge port by receiving suction force by which a powdered material is fed into the material collector and opens the material discharge port by receiving the weight of the specified amount of the powdered material which is stored in the material collector.

The present invention is concerned with a collector, used for supplying powdered or granular materials such as various kinds of raw materials for plastic to a plastic molding machine, which can automatically switch multi-materials. The collector comprises a separation box connected to a main body of the collector, a rotary valve being pressed to a vacant chamber of the separation box for being mounted thereto such that the rotary valve may be rotatable to and fro, and a separator provided on a bottom of the rotary valve and is constructed such that a rotational displacement of the rotary valve permits a passage for guiding materials to communicate selectively with an inlet of materials and a gas introducing port to execute replacement of materials and compressed gas can be supplied from the gas introducing port, when a coincidence between the gas introducing port and the passage for guiding materials is made.
