A main frame for a C-type frame for die tightening units mounted for an injection molding machine is prepared by employing a casting process. The main frame includes an opposing pair of side frames, upper frames projecting forward of fore upper surfaces of the side frame and a front frame extending between both the side frames. The side frames, the upper frames and the front frame are cast and integrated with each other to form the main frame having a predetermined width. A base board made by casting or made of a steel plate is bolted to the lower end of the main frame to form a C-type frame, and a pair of support columns each made of a steel material extend through the joint portions where the side frames are integrally joined to the front frame. The tensile strength and the compressive strength of the C-type frame are increased by tightening the support columns via nuts threadably engaged with male threads machined at the opposite ends of each support column. With this construction, the C-type frame can be constructed with lighter weight and smaller dimensions.

A controller of an injection molding apparatus has a plurality of injection apparatuses from which different molding materials are injected into a cavity of a mold to fill the cavity so that molding is performed. The controller includes a first control unit for controlling operation of a specific injection apparatus on the basis of a previously set target value, for example, in the feedback control manner, a physical amount detection unit for detecting a physical amount (screw velocity, screw position, injection pressure, temperature or the like) concerning the operation of the specific injection apparatus, and a second control unit for obtaining a linkage target value for other injection apparatus from the detected physical amount (detection value) to control operation of the other injection apparatus on the basis of the linkage target value, for example, in the feedback control manner. The second control unit includes an operation function unit for calculating the linkage target value of the other injection apparatus from the detection value. Thus, the other injection apparatus is controlled in interlocked relationship with the operation state of the specific injection apparatus and the operation timings between the specific and other injection apparatuses is synchronized.

Controller of an injection molding machine

A tube container molding apparatus in which a cylindrical tube is inserted into a split mold in its closed state so that the end section of the tube comes into contact with a cavity face of the split mold. A core is then advanced to fit into the tube from its rear end, and finally a resin melt is introduced into the cavity formed by the cavity face of the split mold and the end face of the core. When the resin melt is injected into the cavity, a tube holding piece pushes the tube against the core to prevent the tube from being drawn out of the cavity. Midway during the advance of the core into the tube, the tube is held by the tube holding piece and the further advance of the tube is made together with the core. Thus, the forward end section of the tube is bent inward to a prescribed width.

The present invention provides a mold clamp apparatus having a novel construction wherein, though the advance of the movable platen is blocked, it is possible to perform a powerful mold clamping operation as in case of a direct compression operation, and it is also possible to make a support of the movable platen accurate by connecting the tie bar to the fixed platen, and further it is also possible to perform a high-speed mold-closing operation and a powerful mold-clamping operation continuously.
