An antibacterial resin composition comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of a styrene resin, (B) 0.01 to 30 parts by weight of an antibacterial agent and (C) 0.01 to 30 parts by weight of a compound having a specific functional group, and said antibacterial resin composition is excellent in antibacterial property and surface appearance of molded article and can give a molded article which can be applied to many fields.

A thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising 99-1 parts by weight of (i) a hydrogenated diene polymer which is a hydrogenation product of a straight or branched chain block copolymer consisting of (C) a polybutadiene block segment having a 1,2-vinyl content of not more than 20% and (D) a block segment which is a polybutadiene or an alkenyl aromatic compound-butadiene copolymer, the butadiene portion of which has a 1,2-vinyl content of 25-95% and 1-99 parts by weight of (ii) at least one of a thermoplastic resin or a rubbery polymer.

Thermoplastic elastomer composition

A hydrogenated diene copolymer resin composition comprising (A) 5-70% by weight of a hydrogenated diene copolymer which is a hydrogenation product of a random copolymer of at least one conjugated diene and 3-50% by weight of an alkenyl aromatic compound having a number average molecular weight of 5,000-1,000,000 and a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 10 or less, the vinyl content in the diene portion of the random copolymer being 10-90%, at least 70% of the olefinic unsaturation of the random copolymer being hydrogenated, and (B) 95-30% by weight of at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a polypropylene resin, a polyphenylene ether resin and an alkenyl aromatic compound polymer resin. The hydrogenated diene copolymer (A) can be used in combination with (B) a polyphenylene ether resin and (C) at least one member selected from the group consisting of a polyamide and a thermoplastic polyester in such a proportion that the amount of (A) is 1-50 parts by weight, the amount of (B) is 10-89 parts by weight and the amount of (C) is 10-89 parts by weight. The above composition has improved impact resistance and improved gloss and appearance of molded article.

A heat resistant thermoplastic resin composition comprising (a) 5 to 99% by weight of a poly(phenylene ether), (b) 95 to 1% by weight of a thermoplastic resin which is obtained by polymerizing in the absence of a rubber-like polymer a resin constituent mixture comprising an aromatic alkenyl compound, an alkenyl cyanide compound, and, if necessary, other alkenyl monomers copolymerizable with said monomers, and (c) up to 94% by weight of other styrenic resins, said thermoplastic resin (b) comprising (A) 1-50% by weight of a polymer having an alkenyl cyanide compound content of 1% by weight or more but less than 10% by weight, (B) 1-70% by weight of a polymer having an alkenyl cyanide compound content of 10% by weight or more but less than 20% by weight, (C) 5-90% by weight of a polymer having an alkenyl cyanide compound content of 20% by weight or more but less than 40% by weight, and (D) up to 70% by weight of a polymer having an alkenyl cyanide compound content of 40% by weight or more, and having a total alkenyl cyanide compound content of 10 to 40% by weight and an intrinsic viscosity of preferably 0.1- 1.5 dl/g as measured in methyl ethyl ketone at 30.degree. C. The above thermoplastic resin composition is excellent in not only heat resistance but also impact resistance, thermal stability, painting, and surface gloss of molded article.

Heat resistant, thermoplastic resin composition

A molding resin composition comprising [A] 100 parts by weight of a vinyl chloride resin, [B] 30-110 parts by weight of a graft copolymer wherein 90-50 parts by weight of a monomer mixture consisting of 10-40% by weight of an alkenyl aromatic compound, 20-50% by weight of an alkenyl cyanide compound and 20-50% by weight of a methacrylate is graft-copolymerized on 10-50 parts by weight of polybutadiene or a rubbery copolymer of 60% by weight or more of butadiene and a vinyl monomer copolymerizable therewith (the amount of toluene-insoluble fraction is preferably 50% by weight or less), the degree of grafting being 30-110% and the acetone-soluble fraction of the graft copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4-1.5 dl/g as measured in methyl ethyl ketone at 30.degree. C., [C] 3-50 parts by weight of a rubbery acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer and [D] 15-100 parts by weight of a plasticizer for vinyl chloride resins. Said composition is suitable for producing soft or semi-rigid leather-like sheets by vacuum forming. Said sheets are excellent in heat-resistance, light-resistance and cold-resistance.
