In an electrostatic printing machine, a paper curl correction apparatus can vary the amount of curl correction provided by rotating paper guide rollers around a shaft on which paper conveying rollers are provided. As a result, angle between the shaft and a circumference of the paper guide rollers can be varied.

Paper curl correction apparatus

A paper feed device for holding a stack of printing paper sheets, has a paper holder box, a paper support bed on which the paper sheets are adapted to be placed and an elevator mechanism for moving the paper support bed upward and downward, a sensor detects the height of the paper sheets, whereby at the time of supply of the paper sheets, the paper support bed is moved downward so that the level of the paper sheets can be at a predetermined height relative to an upper end of the paper holder box.

Paper feed device

A sheet reversing apparatus comprises a support in which sheets are stacked, an entrance section for guiding the sheet to the support, a blowing mechanism for directing an air stream to a sheet stack on the support to separate a lowermost sheet from remaining sheets, and a feeding mechanism for attracting the sheet to feed it. Further, stopper plates are provided to be pivoted above the support so that it cooperates with the support to pinch and brake the sheet therebetween in a continuous reversing mode wherein the incoming sheet is immediately fed and that it abuts against the incoming sheet by a portion thereof opposing a leading end of the sheet in a stack reversing mode wherein while the sheets are being stacked the lowermost sheet is separated and fed.

Sheet reversing apparatus for individual sheet feeding

In an electrophotographic printing mechanism in which a photosensitive drum mechanism having a photosensitive drum and a drum cap is turned to electrostatically form an image on the photosensitive material wound on the drum, the drum cap is provided with a switch which is operated by a switch control unit, so that when the mechanism is stopped for urgent work, the operator is protected from being struck by electricity touching the drum cap.

Electrophotographic printing mechanism

A cooled print hammer assembly in which a plurality of hammer coils are formed in a resin member having a recess in which is placed a cooling fin. The opened faces of the fins are placed adjacent a plate of the frame of the print hammer assembly so that closed forced-air ducts are defined by the fins and the frame plate. Additionally, partitions may be placed on the sides of the fins so that the external sides of the fins are cooled.
