A desired temperature distribution is efficiently formed on a glass sheet by a simple structure without lowering heat efficiency within a furnace. A heating furnace conveys a bending mold of a glass sheet and a radiation-heating device is provided in the heating furnace. A first group of a plurality of heating elements are fixed on an inner wall surface of the heating furnace. A second group of a plurality of heating elements are disposed separably from an inner wall surface of the heating furnace.

Bending apparatus for a glass sheet

An apparatus for forming glass sheets is provided wherein in a furnace structure of a heating furnace where molds with glass sheets carried thereon are intermittently conveyed, the staying period in the heating zone just before an annealing zone is variable, and the annealing zone includes a lifting device to separate a mold from a conveying device. By such arrangement, glass sheets having different shapes can be successively produced with a period for job change being greatly shortened.

Glass plate bending method and apparatus

An arm rest mounted to an arm rest support portion of a trim assembly, includes a substrate and a pad on the substrate. The substrate has an energy absorbing structure adapted to be collapsible in a predetermined direction in response to application of a load to the arm rest in the predetermined direction. The energy absorbing structure of a generally honeycomb shape includes a plurality of ribs interconnected to define a plurality of openings. Resilient pawls and a resilient clip are disposed on the substrate to be engaged with peripheral edges of insertion holes of the arm rest support portion.

Arm rest for a vehicle

An interior member on a side wall of a passenger room is formed with an arm rest body projecting inwardly of the passenger room and has a placed member on an upside part of the arm rest body for providing a place for an arm of the passenger to be put thereon, the placed member being detachably attached to the arm rest body and lockingly engaged therewith by an engagement mechanism having lock pawls integral with the placed member and engaged with an edge of an opening formed in the upside part of the arm rest device and ribs integral with the placed member and brought into abutment with the edge of the opening so that, as a primary collision has happened at a lateral side of vehicle, a secondary collision load of the passenger imposed on the arm rest body forces the placed member to be released from the locking engagement by the engagement mechanism.

Arm rest device for vehicles

A mounting shaft is fixedly installed in the upper end of a shield and has an axially central portion projection from the shield. A mounting bracket is installed on a stay of a rear view mirror which is in turn installed on a front roof rail of a vehicle. The mounting shaft has a gripping portion in the form of a tube of a part-circular cross section for supporting the central portion of the mounting shaft. A device is provided to the mounting shaft and the mounting bracket for holding the mounting shaft yieldingly fixed in a predetermined angular position relative to the mounting bracket.

Auxiliary visor

A pair of first and second mounting shafts project outwardly from opposite ends of a shield. The first mounting shaft is supported by a first mounting bracket in such a way as to be axially slidable but prevented from rotation relative to the first mounting bracket. The second mounting shaft is supported by a second mounting bracket in such a way as to be prevented from rotation relative to the second mounting bracket and removable from same through movement in the direction substantially perpendicular to its axis.
