A connectordisclosed by this specification is a connectorto be mounted on a casingof a device by being inserted into a mounting holeprovided in the casingand includes a terminalconnected to a wire W, a housinghaving the terminalmounted therein, and an intermediate terminalmade of metal, mounted in the housingand disposed between the terminaland a mating terminalin the casing. A fastened component (nut) disposed in the casingand to be fastened to a fastening component (bolt B), the mating terminal, the intermediate terminaland the terminalare arranged side by side in a fastening direction, and the terminaland the mating terminalare connected via the intermediate terminalby being collectively fastened by the fastening component and the fastened component.

Connector

A connector cover (10) fits over a connector (20) to define an exit (11a) for a wire (W). The wire is guided in a groove (13,14a) and retained by a latchable closure (31,50,130,240,326). An external force applied to the wire W does not separate the wire from the groove; several embodiments are disclosed.

Connector cover

To restrict a fitting length of an inserting side tubular member such as a corrugate tube into a receiving side tubular member having a flexible portion such as a rubber boot when the inserting and receiving side tubular members are connected. Projections 16 are formed on the inner surface of a fitting end portion 13. When a corrugate tube 20 is fitted into the fitting end portion 13, a leading end 20A thereof comes into contact with the projections 16, thereby restricting any further insertion of the corrugate tube 20. This prevents the entry of the corrugate tube 20 into the flexible portion 12. Accordingly, there is no likelihood that the smooth deformation of the flexible portion 12 is hindered by the entry of the corrugate tube 20 into the flexible portion 12. Further, since there is no need for a consideration as to an excessive insertion of the corrugate tube 20, the connection can easily be performed.

Connection construction for tubular members

When a terminal fitting 3 is inserted into a cavity 2 of a connector housing 1, stabilizers 6 formed on the terminal fitting 3 fit with a retainer 8 attached to the housing 1 in order to prevent removal of the terminal fitting 3. The portion of the stabilizer 6 that makes contact with the retainer 8 is formed into a bent member 7 that projects in an approximately perpendicular direction with respect to the direction of removal of the terminal fitting 3. By doing this, the bent member 7 has increased resistance to a load applied in the removal direction and resists damage to the retainer 8.

Terminal Fitting

A male terminal metal fixture having a tab with a standard thickness is disclosed which is of high quality, although the fixture comprises a thin mother metal plate. The metal fixture is provided with a tab portion (6) which is folded so that each of longitudinal side edges is opposed to each other. The tab portion (6) is provided with an outwardly bulged area with a certain width (7) on the rear side along the opposed longitudinal side edges by means of a bulged process simultaneously with a bending process. Thus, the tab portion (6) can obtain a standard thickness. Moreover, the tab portion (6) is provided with an inward support projection (8) on the outwardly bulged area. The projection (8) prevents the tab portion (6) from being deformed at a hollow space defined by folded side edges (9) and the bulged area (7). Accordingly, it is possible to reduce a weight and a production cost of the male terminal metal fixture and to maintain the metal fixture to be of high quality.

Male terminal metal fixture

A female terminal metal fixture which can prevent a resilient contact tongue from being deflected over a wide range. A box-like body is provided on its right and left side walls with an inwardly bulged restrictive portion formed by a bulging process. Each restrictive portion extends longitudinally below a resilient contact tongue from the distal end of the tongue to the front end of the contact. When a tab is inserted into the insertion space slantwise, the tongue is deflected down by a distance greater than lo that in the case of a normal insertion. The first contact section of the tongue contacts the front corner of the restrictive portion, while the second contact section contacts the rear upper face of the portion. Thus, the tongue is prevented from being deflected beyond its elastic limit. Alternatively, the box-like body is provided on its side walls with an inwardly bulged restrictive portion extending longitudinally from an opening in the body to about the midpoint of the resilient tongue. The restrictive portion has an upper horizontal edge section at its rear, and an upper ascending slope edge section at its front. When the tab is inserted into the opening slanting downwardly, the distal end contacts the ascending slope and is prevented from reaching the tongue by the edge section. If the tab is further inserted into the opening, the distal end slides on the upper ascending slope and reaches the upper horizontal edge. Then, the tab slides on the horizontal edge and is directed to the correct horizontal position in the insertion space. This keeps deflection of the tongue within the elastic limit thereof and provides an elastic contact between the tab and the tongue.

Female terminal, metal fixture

A projected portion 7 extending in a lengthwise direction of a tab portion 6 and having a given width is formed in a central section of one layer of the tab portion 6 where there is no seam before the tab portion is formed by folding back lateral sections to overlie the central section. The tab portion 6 is allowed to have a specified thickness by the presence of the projected portion 7. The tab portion 6 thus formed enables the fabrication of a more light-weight male terminal fitting at reduced costs and an increase in its strength.

Male terminal fitting and method of producing the same

A light source display tube arranged in matrix form in one plane as a unit element to constitute a large screen display device, where a stray path for electrons emitted from the cathode is eliminated, and concentration of the electric field of the control grid disturbing the electron flow is prevented, thereby pseudo light emission is prevented and electrical trouble is minimized in simple fashion.

Fluorescent display apparatus for use in a large-screen display comprising a display portion having fluorescent display portions arranged in a matrix and coated with fluorescent material for emitting light upon being bombarded by thermoelectrons, cathodes of the type consuming small power shaped in a linear form oriented in the direction of the row or column and disposed to oppose the display portion arranged that one cathode corresponds to two or four of the fluorescent display portions, a first control electrode in a planar form having openings made therein corresponding to the fluorescent display portions of the display portion and disposed between the display portion and the cathodes, second control electrodes disposed on the side of the cathodes opposite to the display portion, and arranged corresponding to each cathode along the length of the cathode, and third control electrodes disposed on both sides of the second control electrodes in the direction of the column, and arranged so as to correspond to each cathode.

Fluorescent display apparatus

A fluorescent display tube includes a plurality of phosphor screens formed on a front panel of an envelope to constitute a matrix, a plurality of cathode electrodes floating from the inner surface of a rear panel of the envelope and corresponding to the phosphor screens so as to constitute a matrix in the same manner as the phosphor screens, grid electrodes which are arranged between the phosphor screens and the cathode electrodes of the rows of the matrix and each of which has electron beam apertures, and stripe-like back electrodes formed on the inner surface of the rear panel so as to correspond to the columns of the matrix. A voltage applied to the cathode electrodes is higher or lower than that to the grid and back electrodes. Light emission of the phosphor screens can be arbitrarily controlled to obtain high resolution with a compact arrangement.
