A vehicle cleaning system is provided including a foreign object detection section configured to detect a foreign object present on a windshield, a foreign object removal device configured to clean the windshield to remove the foreign object, an actuation notification section configured to notify a user of actuation of the foreign object removal device, and a control section that, when the foreign object detection section has detected the foreign object, controls the actuation notification section so as to notify of actuation of the foreign object removal device before controlling the foreign object removal device so as to clean the windshield.

The present disclosure provides a vehicle wiper-washer device including: a wiper motor causing to-and-fro wiping operation on a wiping surface by a wiper blade coupled to a wiper arm; a washer pump that feeds washer fluid under pressure to a jetting portion provided to at least one of the wiper blade or the wiper arm, to cause washer fluid to be jetted from the jetting portion toward the wiping surface on an outward movement direction side of the wiper blade during the to-and-fro wiping operation; and a control unit that, when a predetermined signal is detected, controls the wiper motor and the washer pump such that the to-and-fro wiping operation is performed, and such that washer fluid is jetted from the jetting portion toward the wiping surface on the outward movement direction side while a return path wiping operation of the to-and-fro wiping operation is being performed.

A relationship between a thickness of a water film at a location of a maximum pressing pressure and a maximum pressure gradient value is deduced. Each corresponding design factor of a wiper blade is determined based on this relationship, and the wiper blade is manufactured. In this way, at the wiper blade, a thickness of the water film right after wiping falls in an appropriate range.

A connecting arrangement of a lever is rotatably connected to a wiper arm. Arms of the lever are located on longitudinal sides, respectively, of the connecting arrangement and extend in the longitudinal direction of a wiper strip. Each arm of the lever includes a holding portion, which is provided in a longitudinal distal end of the arm to hold the wiper strip together with backing plates. The holding portion of each arm of the lever is positioned in an intermediate location between the connecting arrangement and a corresponding longitudinal end of the wiper strip.

A lever assembly is connected to a wiper arm and holds a wiper strip together with a backing plate, which is installed in the wiper strip. The lever assembly includes a plurality of levers. Each lever has a finned portion, in which a fin is integrally formed. The finned portion of each lever forms a mountain fold that has a top ridge. The top ridge of the lever is offset from the center line of the wiper strip on one side of the center line of the wiper strip in a transverse direction that is perpendicular to the center line of the wiper strip. The fin is formed in the finned portion of the lever on the other side of the center line of the wiper strip.

The present invention provides a vehicle window washing system having a washer pump which includes a cylindrical housing, a pump section formed in the housing, a motor section formed in the housing, an outlet formed in the housing to extend outwardly therefrom, and a flow passage connecting the outlet with the pump section. The washer pump is fixedly held relative to a washing liquid tank under such a condition that at least the pump section is inserted into the washing liquid tank through an opening therein.

A pump used to selectively force-feed under pressure washer fluid to the front and rear windscreens of a vehicle according to the rotation of an impeller in either one or other direction. A bypass flow passage for taking out part of the washer fluid, which is forcibly fed under pressure by means of the impeller, is formed upon supply of the washer fluid to the rear windscreen. Thus, the washer fluid delivered to the front windscreen and that delivered to the rear windscreen are different in the delivery rate.
