A brake noise at stationary steering is prevented while brake hold being in operation, in automated steering with parking assist control. An automated-parking control unit includes: an environment recognizer to recognize environment of a vehicle; a behavior controller to execute behavior control inclusive of steering and acceleration/deceleration, based on recognized information; a brake hold instructor to suspend the vehicle with the behavior control and hold the vehicle suspended until receiving behavior-related operation by a driver; an automated-parking controller to set a reverse-steering position, based on a current position of the vehicle and a desired parking position decided by the driver, between the current position and the desired parking position, move the vehicle from the current position to the reverse-steering position, and execute stationary steering at the reverse-steering position; and a brake fluid pressure controller to increase a brake fluid pressure when stationary steering is executed at the reverse-steering position.

Parking assist system and vehicle with automated parking capability

A parking assist system includes: an imaging device configured to capture an image of a surrounding of a vehicle; a display device configured to display a surrounding image of the vehicle based on the image captured by the imaging device; and a control device configured to control a display of the display device based on the surrounding image and to calculate a trajectory of the vehicle from a current position to a target position. In a case where the trajectory includes a switching position for steering the vehicle and changing a moving direction thereof and the vehicle is moving toward the switching position, the control device causes the display device to superimpose the switching position on the surrounding image and to hide at least a first part of the trajectory, the first part connecting the switching position and the target position.

Parking assist system

A parking assist system includes: a control device configured to execute an automatic parking process and an automatic unparking process. The control device is configured to cause a notification device to output an end-of-parking notification when, in the automatic parking process, the vehicle has reached the target parking position and the control device ends the automatic parking process, and to cause the notification device to output an instruction notification to request the occupant to perform a prescribed operation on an operation member when, in the automatic unparking process, the vehicle has reached the target unparking position and the control device ends the automatic unparking process, and to cause the notification device to output an end-of-unparking notification when the prescribed operation is detected.

A parking assist system moves a vehicle autonomously from a current position to a target position. The parking assist system includes: a driving device configured to drive the vehicle; a control device configured to execute a setting process to set the target position and a driving process to control the driving device; a setting reception switch configured to receive an operation for starting the setting process; a driving reception switch configured to receive an operation for starting the driving process; a brake input member sensor configured to detect an input operation of a brake input member. The control device starts the setting process after the setting reception switch is operated, and starts the driving process on condition that a prescribed operation is performed when the driving reception switch is operated. The prescribed operation includes the input operation on the brake input member.

A parking assist system includes: a control device configured to control a vehicle so as to move the vehicle autonomously from a current position to a target position; and an external environment sensor configured to detect an obstacle. During control of the vehicle to the target position, the control device is configured to recognize the obstacle present in a first area and a second area based on information from the external environment sensor. In a case where the control device recognizes the obstacle in the first area, the control device stops the vehicle, and in a case where the control device recognizes the obstacle in the second area and the obstacle in the second area is a moving object and/or a moving creature, the control device moves the vehicle in a decelerated state in which the vehicle is decelerated to a prescribed speed.

Disclosed is an immunity inducer. The immunity inducer comprises virus like particles; the virus like particles comprise a virus-derived outer coat protein and an antigen-bound protein comprising an exogenous antigen; the outer coat protein constitutes an outer coat of the virus like particles, and the antigen-bound protein is comprised in the outer coat; and the virus like particles induce an immune effect of a living body on the antigen.

Disclosed is an immunostimulator containing virus-like particles, in which the virus-like particles contain an outer coat protein containing an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID No. 1, SEQ ID No. 26, SEQ ID No. 33, SEQ ID No. 35, SEQ ID No. 37, SEQ ID No. 39, SEQ ID No. 41, SEQ ID No. 43 and SEQ ID No. 45; the outer coat protein constitutes an outer coat of the virus-like particles; and the virus-like particles do not substantially contain a genome DNA of SV40.

Immunostimulator and method for producing the same

There is provided a novel method of forming uniform viral particles under physiological conditions. The method of forming uniform-sized viral particle aggregates composed of viral protein is characterized by incubating a viral protein such as SV40 virus VP1 at pH 5.0 to 7.0, room temperature, in the presence of 130 mM to 170 mM sodium chloride and 1.5 mM to 2.5 mM divalent cation, and in the presence of a particle formation acceleration factor such as SV40 VP2. For encapsulation of a substance to be encapsulated in the viral particles, the substance to be encapsulated is included during the incubation.

Viral particle-like structure in physiological conditions, and method of forming it

In a steering handle grasped and rotated by both hands of a driver, an axis of a steering shaft included in the steering handle is inclined so as to be higher in level in a forward direction of a vehicle body, and a left grip grasped by a left hand and a right grip grasped by a right hand are rotatable in opposite directions about an axis perpendicular to the axis of the steering shaft. Accordingly, an upper half of the driver's body sitting on a seat and leaning backwards and a plane of rotation of the steering handle are substantially parallel to each other, thereby ensuring that the driver can rotate the steering handle without stretching and withdrawing his or her arms. Moreover, when the steering handle is rotated, the driver's wrists can be prevented from being twisted unnaturally, leading to an easy steering operation.

Steering handle and steering system

A steering system includes a steering wheel, a steering angle sensor detecting a steering angle, a steering motor steering road-wheels, a reaction motor imparting a reaction force to the steering wheel, an ECU driving the steering motor with respect to a detected steering angle and a temperature detecting unit detecting temperatures of the steering motor, the reaction motor or a constituent member involved in the temperatures of the motors. When the temperature detected is larger than a predetermined value, the ECU performs such that a ratio of the rotating angle to the steering angle is made smaller than one that is to result when the temperature is equal to or smaller than the predetermined value, or a reaction force that is to be imparted to the steering wheel is made larger.

Steering system and method of control

A vehicle control system is provided for a vehicle that is steered by steer-by-wire, the system including a battery mounted in the vehicle, a steer-by-wire steering system that turns wheels by an electric motor that is operated by electric power supplied from the battery, a steering controller for controlling the operation of the steer-by-wire steering system, and an engine controller for controlling, by electric power supplied from the battery, the operation of an engine for making the vehicle travel. A booster circuit boosts the voltage applied to the steering controller so that, when the voltage of the battery decreases, the voltage applied to the engine controller falls below its minimum operating voltage before the voltage applied to the steering controller falls below its minimum operating voltage. With this arrangement, it is possible to provide fail-safe operation when there is a decrease in the voltage of the battery which supplies electricity to the steering controller.

Vehicle control system

A non-linear region controller calculates a standard yaw rate from an actual steering angle &thgr;r of steerable wheels detected by a steering angle sensor , a deviation from the standard yaw rate, of a yaw rate &ggr;r detected by a yaw rate sensor , and a rate of change of the yaw rate deviation. Based upon calculated results, the non-linear region controller determines whether tires of a traveling vehicle are in a non-linear region of tire characteristic, and if determining so, exercises a steering amount reduction control to reduce an actual steering angle &thgr;r of the steerable wheels. The determination of linearity of tire characteristic can be made with comparative ease utilizing a commonly available sensor, and the vehicle is controlled using the determination result.

Apparatus for determining linearity of tire characteristic

The object of the present invention is to provide a driving apparatus for a vehicle, which is capable of improving the operability and safety of a vehicle driving by enabling a fine correction to the steering amount with a simple apparatus. The apparatus employs the first and second operation devices, for which the steering gains are differentiated for the improvement.

Driving apparatus for a vehicle

A vehicular motor driving apparatus includes a control unit 15 for drive-controlling a motor by PWM-drive-controlling a motor driving circuit based on a motor starting signal. The control unit has a drive controller for setting a drive frequency of a PWM-drive control signal to be an integral multiple of or (integer+0.5) times a channel frequency interval of channel frequencies allotted for AM radio broadcasts. As a result, radiation noise associated with harmonics of the PWM-drive control signal, when coincided with the channel frequencies used by AM radio broadcast stations, is removed along with the channel frequencies through radio receiver detection. When the radiation noise does not coincide with the in-use channel frequencies, it is offset by the channel frequency interval therefrom, thereby preventing its reception.
