A needle-equipped outer tube includes a needle; a joint member that supports the needle, the needle being insert molded or thermally welded to the joint member; and an outer tube including a connection section, wherein the joint member is thermally welded to the connection section of the outer tube.

A method of manufacturing a needle-equipped outer tube includes a preheating step comprising heating a distal end connecting section to a temperature at or below a softening point of a material forming an outer tube member with a joint member inserted in a distal end connecting section of the outer tube member, and with a needle being inserted or inserted and fixed in the needle insertion hole; and a joint member welding step, performed after the preheating step, comprising thermally welding the joint member to the distal end connecting section of the outer tube member with a distal end portion of the joint member pressed toward the proximal end of the joint member by a pushing member with a pressing force in a range of 4 N to 30 N.

A method for manufacturing a needle-equipped outer tube includes providing a needle; providing a joint member having a needle insertion hole into which the needle is insertable; providing an outer tube comprising a connection section at a first axial end portion of the outer tube; pressing the joint member, with the needle located in the needle insertion hole, toward the connection section, such that the joint member engages with the connection section of the outer tube; and thermally welding the needle and the joint member, as well as the joint member and the connection section, such that the needle is joined to the joint member, and the joint member is joined to the connection section of the outer tube.

A valve body is formed from an elastic member in the form of an elliptic or circular film (disk shape) having an upper face and a lower face. The valve body has an opening and closing section which is opened and closed in response to insertion and pulling out of a dilator and is formed from a first slit, a second slit, a second concave portion and two third concave portions. A pair of ribs and six projections are formed on the lower face side of the valve body. The ribs are disposed in opposing relationship to each other with the second slit interposed therebetween and extend along the lower face. Further, the projections are disposed such that they are positioned on the inner side of the ribs and are opposed to each other with the second slit interposed therebetween.

A valve body formed from an elastic member in the form of an elliptical or circular film (disk shape) has upper and lower surfaces. A first concave portion is formed on the upper surface side of the valve body. The valve body further has an opening and closing section which is opened and closed in response to insertion and pulling out of a dilator and is formed from a first slit, a second slit, a second concave portion and two third concave portions. The second concave portion is formed at a portion of the concave surface side of the valve body corresponding to an intersecting portion, and the third concave portions are formed at the opposite end portions of the first slit. The second concave portion extends, in a thickness wise direction of the valve body, to an intermediate portion of the first slit but not to the second slit.

A syringe (and a prefilled syringe) of a structure with ventilation means allowing a pusher to be easily pushed or pulled in use, providing an excellent operability of discharging (injecting) chemicals, making it hard for foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter into a syringe outer tube when not in use during storage or transporation, capable of assuring, by itself, the sanitation of the syringe outer tube when not in use, and allowed to be shipped without individually packaging the syringe with packaging material, wherein, as more desirable embodiments, the aseptic condition in the outer tube can be surely maintained even if the push and pull operations of the pusher are performed and, even if the pusher is pushed when not in use, a gasket does not move in tip direction and the arrangement of the pusher at the time of shipping can be stably maintained.

A synthetic resin needle of reinforced with combustible fibers whose longitudinal directions are arrayed straight or curvilinearly along the axial length of the needle. The reinforcing fibers may be dispersed uniformly in the synthetic resin of the needle, or in such a non-uniform manner that the concentration of the fibers in some portion around the peripheral wall of the needle is so scarce that the inner passage of the needle can be observed from outside.

A blood collection tube includes a bottom and an open end that is hermetically sealed by a plug. A supporting film having an anticoagulant coated thereon is positioned within the tube. The anticoagulant-coated surface of the supporting member is provided with a large number of fine convexes.

In sampling a blood specimen inside a blood-collecting tube equipped with a film stopper at an opening thereof, a needle capable of sampling a blood component is made to pierce the film stopper and the tip of the needle is situated in the blood specimen. The blood specimen is sampled via the needle while the interior of the blood-collecting tube is kept cut off from the exterior thereof.

A film-like closure opener opens a film-like closure such as a cap or lid which closes an open end of a bottomed tubular container such as a blood collecting tube. The film-like closure opener includes a cutter having a circular cutting edge for cutting off at least a substantial portion of the film-like closure along the open end of the tubular container. The opener may have a needle for piercing an elastic member on the film-like closure, so that the cut-off closure can be removed with the needle. The opener also has a gripper which is manually held and pushed to force the cutter into the tubular container while cutting off the film-like closure.

A blood sample tube holder for holding a blood sample tube includes a holder body having a needle joint on one end for connection to a blood sample collecting needle, the holder body having an open opposite end. The holder body has a plurality of elastic and flexible lands on an inner wall surface thereof. The lands have radially innermost surfaces arranged such that when the blood sample tube is inserted into the holder body through the open opposite end, the lands are engaged and elastically deformed by the blood sample tube for an increased area of contact with the blood sample tube for holding the blood sample tube in the holder body.

A blood collecting tube comprises a tubular member made of synthetic resin which has an open end and a closed bottom, and a closure member which is for closing the open end of the tubular member and allows a puncture needle to pierce therethrough, the interior of said blood collecting tube being kept under reduced pressure, said tubular member being essentially made of a polyester resin mixture of a polyester resin mainly based on a ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid and a polyester resin mainly based on ethylene glycol and isopthalic acid. The tubular member of this blood collecting tube can be suitably made by injection molding and has high gas barrier properties so that the capability of collecting blood decreases little with time.
