A valve open/close timing controller including a driving-side rotating body rotating about a rotating shaft core synchronously with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine with a driven-side rotating body inside the driving-side rotating body and coaxially with the rotating shaft core that rotates integrally with a camshaft to open/close an intake valve of an internal combustion engine. A phase adjusting mechanism sets a relative rotation phase between the driving-side and driven-side and a phase controller performs a retard operation to shift the relative rotation phase to a most retarded phase by displacing the driven-side rotating body in a direction opposite to the driving-side rotating body, and, when rotational speed of the engine reaches a lower limit rotational speed during stopping of the engine, advances the relative rotation phase as the most retarded phase by displacing the driven-side rotating body in a same direction as the driving-side rotating body.

Valve opening and closing timing control device

An internal combustion engine includes an internal combustion engine body including an intake valve and an exhaust valve, and a controller configured or programmed to perform a control to set a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine body to a predetermined rotational speed based on an environmental temperature at a time of starting the internal combustion engine body, and perform a control to drive the internal combustion engine body at the set predetermined rotational speed during a time period until when fuel is supplied to a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine body and first ignition is performed.

Valve opening and closing timing control apparatus

A control device for an internal combustion engine includes an internal combustion engine and a valve opening-closing timing control device. The valve opening-closing timing control device has a phase adjustment mechanism for setting a relative rotation phase of a driving-side rotator and a driven-side rotator. The phase adjustment mechanism overlaps a timing of opening an intake valve with a timing of opening an exhaust valve, by setting, in a predetermined period, the relative rotation phase such that the exhaust valve closes after a top dead center position has been reached, and a bypass passage is provided that connects an exhaust passage of one cylinder that is in an exhaust process to the exhaust passage of another cylinder that is in an intake process at the same time as the exhaust process.

A controller for an internal combustion engine includes: a failure determination section which determines a failure state in a case where a relative rotation phase of an intake side valve opening and closing timing control mechanism does not change when controlling the mechanism after starting the driving of a starter motor and trying to change the relative rotation phase of the mechanism in a start control for starting an internal combustion engine. When the section determines a failure, the controller performs at least one of an intake air amount increase control in which an opening degree of a throttle valve is increased, an ignition timing advance angle control in which injection of fuel is performed at a timing earlier than a set timing and ignition is performed, and a multi-injection control in which the fuel is injected immediately before the ignition in addition to the fuel injection in an intake stroke.

A control unit for an internal combustion engine is configured for allowing smooth operation of the internal combustion engine by increasing an intake amount while maintaining an opening timing of an intake valve constant, at the time of low-rotation, high-load state. A valve opening/closing timing control apparatus includes a phase adjustment mechanism configured to vary a relative rotational phase between a driving side rotary body rotatable in synchronism with a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine and a driven side rotary body rotatable together with an intake cam shaft. A valve opening and closing timing control apparatus includes a valve opening and closing timing control apparatus provided at a camshaft for an intake valve of an internal combustion engine and a valve opening and closing timing control apparatus provided at a camshaft for an exhaust valve and includes a control unit changing a phase of one of the valve opening and closing timing control apparatus for the intake valve and the valve opening and closing timing control apparatus for the exhaust valve serving as an electric type which malfunctions to a most advanced angle phase and changing a phase of the other of the valve opening and closing timing control apparatus which is inhibited from malfunctioning to an advanced angle side in a case where one of the valve opening and closing timing control apparatus serving as the electric type malfunctions.

A control device for an internal combustion engine includes an ECU. The internal combustion engine includes an oil pump, a crankshaft, a camshaft, and a variable valve timing mechanism. The ECU is configured to: calculate a required engine torque, which is an engine torque requested by a driver, based on accelerator operation amount information; calculate a future target phase of the variable valve timing mechanism based on a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine and the required engine torque; calculate an anticipated deviation that is a difference between the future target phase and a current actual phase; and control a discharge amount of oil from the oil pump based on the anticipated deviation.

A valve timing control apparatus includes a driving-side rotating member, a driven-side rotating member, a fluid pressure chamber defined by the driving-side rotating member and the driven-side rotating member and divided into a retarded angle chamber and an advanced angle chamber by a parting portion, an angle detecting portion detecting a relative angle of the driven-side rotating member relative to the driving-side rotating member, a fluid control mechanism controlling a supply and a discharge of an operation fluid to and from the fluid pressure chamber, an acceleration operation quantity detecting mechanism detecting an acceleration operation quantity, and a control portion setting either a normal drive mode or an acceleration drive mode as a control mode relative to the fluid control mechanism based on the acceleration operation quantity, and controlling the fluid control mechanism so that the relative angle corresponds to a target angle determined based on the set control mode.

A variable valve timing control unit includes an intake-side variable valve timing control apparatus, an exhaust-side variable valve timing control apparatus, an intake-side phase control valve selectively performing supply and discharge of fluid relative to an advanced angle fluid passage and a retarded angle fluid passage of the intake-side variable valve timing control apparatus, an exhaust-side phase control valve selectively performing supply and discharge of the fluid relative to the advanced angle fluid passage and the retarded angle fluid passage of the exhaust-side variable valve timing control apparatus, and a single lock control valve controlling supply and discharge of the fluid relative to unlock fluid passages of the respective intake-side variable valve timing control apparatus and the exhaust-side variable valve timing control apparatus.

A fuel cell vehicle is equipped with a power control unit which converts power supplied from the fuel cell and supplies that converted power to a load. High voltage wiring, which connects at least one of the fuel cell and the load to the power control unit, is provided on one side of either the left or the right side of a vehicle, and a fuel line for supplying a fuel gas to the fuel cell is provided on the other side of the vehicle, which is opposite the side on which the high voltage wiring is provided.
