A compositions for external use comprising succinoglucan and a water-swelling clay mineral, which is useful particularly as cosmetics. The composition can give a novel feeling upon use which satisfies the diversified requirements by consumers and is excellent in long-term stability.

Composition for external use

A pack cosmetic which characteristically comprises dextrin. The present invention can provide an unprecedented superior pack cosmetic which gives high tension, adhesion, and a stretched feeling during use, is easy to remove, and can leave a superior moist feeling after removal. It can also provide a pack cosmetic which has a superior keratotic plug removal effect as well.

Face pack

An oil-in-water emulsified composition comprising an a .alpha.-monoalkyl glyceryl ether, a wax, and a silicone oil: wherein the amount of the silicone oil is not less than 10 wt % with respect to an oil phase except the a .alpha.-monoalkyl glyceryl ether and the wax, this composition displays excellent emulsion stability and feeling of use.

Oil-in-water emulsified composition and oil-in-water emulsifying agent

A skin irritation alleviation agent composed of a polyoxyalkylene-modified organopolysiloxane is provided. Various compositions including skin external application compositions, cosmetic or similar compositions (e.g., an adhesive composition for a false eyelash, a decolorant composition, a depilatory composition, and an eyeliner composition) containing a polyoxyalkylene-modified organosiloxane are also provided. This alleviation agent has a low skin irritation effect and extremely high safety factor when used on the human body.

Alleviating skin irritation resulting from applying tacky tapes

A gel composition or a nail polish comprising at least one cationic surfactant having a propylene oxide chain and/or an ethylene oxide chain, an organic modified clay mineral and a solvent. Addition of the specific cationic surfactant maintains the good thixotropy due to the organic modified clay mineral and restricts the change in viscosity with time and with a slight change in the content of the organic modified clay mineral to a very narrow range.

Gel composition and nail polish

A water-in-oil type emulsified composition containing a water-swellable clay mineral, a nonionic surfactant, an oil component, and water as the essential constituents or containing a water-swellable clay mineral, a quaternary ammonium salt type cationic surfactant, one or two more kinds of polyoxyalkylene modified organopolysiloxane, an aqueous phase, and an oil phase containing one or two or more kinds of organic silicone resin comprising the units of the formula:

Water-in-oil emulsion type cosmetics

A fingernail cosmetic composition containing at least one resin and at least one organic solvent, characterized by incorporating therein water and a water-incorporating compound having at least one hydrophilic moiety and at least one lipophilic moiety, and, if desired, a moisturizing agent and a fragrance-maintaining agent.

Fingernail cosmetic composition

A cosmetic composition comprising at least one fluorocarbon having the formula C.sub.n H.sub.p F.sub.q X.sub.4 wherein X represents chlorine or bromine, n is an integer of 1 to 8, q is an integer of 1 to 18, and p+q+r is an 2n+2, which is liquid at an ambient temperature and has a boiling point of 200.degree. C. or less, in the composition. This cosmetic composition does not exhibit an unpreferable oily feeling finish but does exhibit a cosmetic finish which lasts for a long time.
